| 1 | Effect of lanthanum,neodymium on piezoelectric,dielectric and ferroelectric properties of PZT显示文摘The effect of La^(3+)and Nd^(3+)on piezoelectric,dielectric and ferroelectric properties of PZT(Pb(Zr_(0.53)Ti_(0.47))O_(3))was studied.The powders were prepared by“wet-chemical”route followed by calcination at 800℃for 4 h.XRD analysis of the calcined powders confirms the tetragonal phase in the undoped PZT,which gradually decreases with the dopant concentration and the appearance of rhombohedral phase simultaneously.SEM study of sintered pellets reveals the decrease in grain size with the increase in dopant concentration beyond 0.02 mol Nd^(3+)and 0.03 mol La^(3+)respectively.The piezoelectric constant(d_(33))and dielectric properties were maximum for 0.02 mol Nd^(3+)and 0.03 mol La^(3+)respectively.The remnant polarization of La^(3+)-doped sample was higher than Nd^(3+)-doped sample,and the sample with combined dopants shows intermediate remnant polarization(P_(r)).Based on the above study,it is concluded that La^(3+)is more effective than Nd^(3+),including in a mixture of La^(3+)and Nd^(3+)dopants. | Benudhar SAHOO Prasanta Kumar PANDA | 2013 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2013，2，1： | 6 |
| 2 | Effects of Organic Amendments on Soil Physical Attributes and Aggregate-Associated Phosphorus Under Long-Term Rice-Wheat Cropping显示文摘The quantification of phosphorus(P) in bulk soil and P distribution in different size fractions of water-stable aggregates(WSAs)are important for assessing potential P loss through runoff. We evaluated available and total P distribution within WSAs of a sitty clay to clay soil in a long-term fertility experiment of a rice-wheat cropping system in India. Surface soil samples were collected from seven plots amended with NPK fertilizers in combination with or without organic amendments, farmyard manure(FYM), green manure(GM), and paddy straw(PS). The plot with no NPK fertilizers or organic amendments was set as a control. The soil samples were separated by wet sieving into four soil aggregate size fractions: large macroaggregates(> 2.0 mm), small macroaggregates(0.25–2.0 mm), fine microaggregates(0.05–0.25 mm), and a silt + clay-sized fraction(< 0.05 mm). Structural indices were higher in the soil receiving organic amendments than in the soil receiving inorganic fertilizer alone. Organically amended soil had a higher proportion of stable macroaggregates than the control and the soil receiving inorganic fertilizer alone, which were rich in microaggregates. Total and available P contents within WSAs were inversely related to the aggregate size, irrespective of treatment. The distribution of available and total P in the soil aggregate size fraction was as follows: silt + clay-size fraction > small macroaggregates > fine microaggregates> large macroaggregates. Within a size class, aggregate-associated available and total P contents in the organically amended soil were in the following order: FYM > PS ≥ GM. The available P content of the microaggregates(< 0.25 mm) was 8-to 10-times higher than that of the macroaggregates(> 0.25 mm), and the total P content of the microaggregates was 4-to 5-times higher than that of the macroaggregates. | 3 | Magnetotelluric investigation of lithospheric electrical structure beneath the Dharwar Craton in south India:Evidence for mantle suture and plume-continental interaction显示文摘Broad-band and long period magnetotelluric measurements made at 63 locations along -500 km long Chikmagalur-Kavali profile,that cut across the Dharwar craton (DC) and Eastern Ghat Mobile Belt (EGMB) in south India,is modelled to examine the lithosphere architecture of the cratonic domain and define tectonic boundaries.The 2-D resistivity model shows moderately conductive features that intersperse a highly resistive background of crystalline rocks and spatially connect to the exposed schist belts or granitic intrusions in the DC.These features are therefore interpreted as images of fossil pathways of the volcanic emplacements associated with the greenstone belt and granite suite formation exposed in the region.A near vertical conductive feature in the upper mantle under the Chitradurga Shear Zone represents the Archean suture between the western and eastern blocks of DC.Although thick (-200 km) cratonic (highly resistive) lithosphere is preserved,significant part of the cratonic lithosphere below the western DC is modified due to plume-continental lithosphere interactions during the CretaceouseTertiary period.A west-verging moderately conductive feature imaged beneath EGMB lithosphere is interpreted as the remnant of the Proterozoic collision process between the Indian land mass and East Antarctica.Thin (-120 km) lithosphere is seen below the EGMB,which form the exterior margin of the India shield subsequent to its separation from East Antarctica through rifting and opening of the Indian Ocean in the Cretaceous. | D.
