1Effect of lanthanum,neodymium on piezoelectric,dielectric and ferroelectric properties of PZT显示文摘The effect of La^(3+)and Nd^(3+)on piezoelectric,dielectric and ferroelectric properties of PZT(Pb(Zr_(0.53)Ti_(0.47))O_(3))was studied.The powders were prepared by“wet-chemical”route followed by calcination at 800℃for 4 h.XRD analysis of the calcined powders confirms the tetragonal phase in the undoped PZT,which gradually decreases with the dopant concentration and the appearance of rhombohedral phase simultaneously.SEM study of sintered pellets reveals the decrease in grain size with the increase in dopant concentration beyond 0.02 mol Nd^(3+)and 0.03 mol La^(3+)respectively.The piezoelectric constant(d_(33))and dielectric properties were maximum for 0.02 mol Nd^(3+)and 0.03 mol La^(3+)respectively.The remnant polarization of La^(3+)-doped sample was higher than Nd^(3+)-doped sample,and the sample with combined dopants shows intermediate remnant polarization(P_(r)).Based on the above study,it is concluded that La^(3+)is more effective than Nd^(3+),including in a mixture of La^(3+)and Nd^(3+)dopants.Benudhar SAHOO Prasanta Kumar PANDA 2013Journal of Advanced Ceramics2013,2,1:6
2Effects of Organic Amendments on Soil Physical Attributes and Aggregate-Associated Phosphorus Under Long-Term Rice-Wheat Cropping显示文摘The quantification of phosphorus(P) in bulk soil and P distribution in different size fractions of water-stable aggregates(WSAs)are important for assessing potential P loss through runoff. We evaluated available and total P distribution within WSAs of a sitty clay to clay soil in a long-term fertility experiment of a rice-wheat cropping system in India. Surface soil samples were collected from seven plots amended with NPK fertilizers in combination with or without organic amendments, farmyard manure(FYM), green manure(GM), and paddy straw(PS). The plot with no NPK fertilizers or organic amendments was set as a control. The soil samples were separated by wet sieving into four soil aggregate size fractions: large macroaggregates(> 2.0 mm), small macroaggregates(0.25–2.0 mm), fine microaggregates(0.05–0.25 mm), and a silt + clay-sized fraction(< 0.05 mm). Structural indices were higher in the soil receiving organic amendments than in the soil receiving inorganic fertilizer alone. Organically amended soil had a higher proportion of stable macroaggregates than the control and the soil receiving inorganic fertilizer alone, which were rich in microaggregates. Total and available P contents within WSAs were inversely related to the aggregate size, irrespective of treatment. The distribution of available and total P in the soil aggregate size fraction was as follows: silt + clay-size fraction > small macroaggregates > fine microaggregates> large macroaggregates. Within a size class, aggregate-associated available and total P contents in the organically amended soil were in the following order: FYM > PS ≥ GM. The available P content of the microaggregates(< 0.25 mm) was 8-to 10-times higher than that of the macroaggregates(> 0.25 mm), and the total P content of the microaggregates was 4-to 5-times higher than that of the macroaggregates. 3Magnetotelluric investigation of lithospheric electrical structure beneath the Dharwar Craton in south India:Evidence for mantle suture and plume-continental interaction显示文摘Broad-band and long period magnetotelluric measurements made at 63 locations along -500 km long Chikmagalur-Kavali profile,that cut across the Dharwar craton (DC) and Eastern Ghat Mobile Belt (EGMB) in south India,is modelled to examine the lithosphere architecture of the cratonic domain and define tectonic boundaries.The 2-D resistivity model shows moderately conductive features that intersperse a highly resistive background of crystalline rocks and spatially connect to the exposed schist belts or granitic intrusions in the DC.These features are therefore interpreted as images of fossil pathways of the volcanic emplacements associated with the greenstone belt and granite suite formation exposed in the region.A near vertical conductive feature in the upper mantle under the Chitradurga Shear Zone represents the Archean suture between the western and eastern blocks of DC.Although thick (-200 km) cratonic (highly resistive) lithosphere is preserved,significant part of the cratonic lithosphere below the western DC is modified due to plume-continental lithosphere interactions during the CretaceouseTertiary period.A west-verging moderately conductive feature imaged beneath EGMB lithosphere is interpreted as the remnant of the Proterozoic collision process between the Indian land mass and East Antarctica.Thin (-120 km) lithosphere is seen below the EGMB,which form the exterior margin of the India shield subsequent to its separation from East Antarctica through rifting and opening of the Indian Ocean in the Cretaceous.D. 6Synthesis and characterization of manganese tetroxide(Mn_(3)O_(4))nanofibers by electrospinning technique显示文摘Manganese tetroxide(Mn_(3)O_(4))nanofibers were prepared by electrospinning homogeneous viscous solution of 20 wt%,28 wt%and 36 wt%manganese acetate in poly vinyl alcohol(PVA)and calcining the nanofibers at 1000℃for 2 h.Electrospinning was carried out at 9 kV DC with tip to collector distance(TCD)of 7 cm.Thermo gravimetric analysis(TGA)of the fibers indicates the pure phase of manganese oxide above 500℃.XRD analysis of calcined(at 1000℃)nanofibers indicates the formation of phase-pure tetragonal Mn_(3)O_(4).Scanning electron microscopy(SEM)studies show the fibers cylindrical with the diameters in the range of 100-600 nm and aspect ratio>1000.In general,the average diameter of the green fibers decreases with the increase in manganese acetate concentration.The diameter of calcined nanofibers is reduced by 34%.Benudhar SAHOO Prasanta Kumar PANDA 2013Journal of Advanced Ceramics2013,2,1:2

8Distribution of geochemical fractions of phosphorus and its ecological risk in sediment cores of a largest brackish water lake, South Asia显示文摘The current study focuses on the vertical profile of different geochemical fractions of phosphorus-loosely bound(Lo–P),aluminium bound(Al–P),iron bound(Fe–P),calcium bound(Ca–P),and organic bound phosphorus(O–P)along with ecological risk assessment of sediment cores from Chilika Lake,eastcoast of India.The percentage contribution of the different fractions to the sedimentary phosphorus in the sediment column of the whole lake are on the order:O–P(33.2%)>Ca–P(20.3%)>Fe–P(18%)>Al–P(6.7%)>Lo–P(0.35%).The Phosphorus Pollution Index(PPI)revealed the contamination of lake sediment with phosphorus.The principal component and cluster analyses highlighted the anthropogenic contribution of phosphorus.The negative loading of Ca–P with Ca points towards its origin from marine shells.The discriminate analysis showed that the variables like Ca–P,bio-available phosphorus(BAP),and pH were able to effectively discriminate the sectors in a significant manner.Saroja Kumar Barik Satyanarayan Bramha Tapan Kumar Bastia Dibakar Behera Pratap Kumar Mohanty Prasanta Rath 2019International Journal of Sediment Research2019,34,3:2

11Note Microwave synthesis and pharmacological activity of Mannich base cyclohexanone derivatives显示文摘We have synthesized mannich base cyclohexanone using microwave irradiation method,and studied their pharma-cological activity.Based on analytical and spectral(IR,NMR and Mass) data,a number of mono as well as double mannich base cyclohexanones have been synthesized from primary and secondary amines and formaldehyde,and then purified and characterized. The required 3-aryl-2,4-diacetyl-5-hydroxy-5-methylcyclohexanone was prepared from appropriate aldehyde and acetylacetone.
