5Transanal endoscopic microsurgery: The first attempt in treatment of rectal amyloidoma显示文摘Localized amyloidosis is characterized by amyloid protein deposition restricted to one organ or tissue without systemic involvement. Gastrointestinal manifestations of localized amyloidoma are unusual, which makes amyloidoma restricted to the rectum a very rare diagnosis requiring a high index of suspicion. We present a rare account for rectal amyloidoma with an unusual presentation of obstructive symptoms and its treatment using a sophisticated surgical modality, transanal endoscopic microsurgery(TEM), which resulted in complete excision of the lesion without hospitalization and complications. 6Involvement of adenosine and standardization of aqueous extract of garlic(Allium sativum Linn.)on cardioprotective and cardiodepressant properties in ischemic preconditioning and myocardial ischemia-reperfusion induced cardiac injury显示文摘The present study investigated the effect of garlic(Allium sativum Linn.)aqueous extracts on ischemic preconditioning and ischemia-reperfusion induced cardiac injury,as well as adenosine involvement in ischemic preconditioning and garlic extract induced cardioprotection.A model of ischemia-reperfusion injury was established using Langendorff apparatus.Aqueous extract of garlic dose was standardized(0.5%,0.4%,0.3%,0.2%,0.1%,0.07%,0.05%,0.03%,0.01%),and the 0.05% dose was found to be the most effective.Higher doses(more than 0.05%)were highly toxic,causing arrhythmia and cardiodepression,whereas the lower doses were ineffective.Garlic exaggerated the cardioprotective effect of ischemic preconditioning.The cardioprotective effect of ischemic preconditioning and garlic cardioprotection was significantly attenuated by theophylline(1,000 μmol/L)and 8-SPT(10 mg/kg,i.p.)and expressed by increased myocardial infarct size,increased LDH level,and reduced nitrite and adenosine levels.These findings suggest that adenosine is involved in the pharmacological and molecular mechanism of garlic induced cardioprotection and mediated by the modulation of nitric oxide.Ashish Kumar Sharma Arshee Munajjam Bhawna Vaishnav Richa Sharma Ashok Sharma Kunal Kishore Akash Sharma Divya Sharma Rita Kumari Ashish Tiwari Santosh Kumar Singh Samir Gaur Vijay Singh Jatav Barthu Parthi Srinivasan Shyam Sunder Agarwal 2012The Journal of Biomedical Research2012,26,1:1

11基于微卫星标记的印度中部Madhya Pradesh地区疟疾强化控制和非强化控制区的斯氏按蚊基因流和种群遗传结构分析(英文)显示文摘【目的】斯氏按蚊Anopheles stephensi是亚洲东南部城市人体疟疾的主要媒介,印度12%的疟疾病例由其引起。本实验研究了印度中部Madhya Pradesh地区东北部的疟疾强化控制(EMCP)区和非强化控制(非EMCP)区斯氏按蚊的基因流。在EMCP区,由于采用了各种疟疾防控措施因而疟疾病例首先降低,但是很快回升,说明总的疟疾风险维持稳定。【方法】应用7个微卫星位点,对印度中部Madhya Pradesh地区东北部的4个EMCP区和非EMCP区采集的斯氏按蚊进行基因分型,以分析各种群参数。【结果】发现各标记在所有种群中表现出高度的多态性。在两区间未发现很大的遗传多样性。观察到EMCP区的东部种群(FST=0.0485,RST=0.1112)比非EMCP区的北部种群(FST=0.020,RST=0.0145)具有较高的遗传分化,在EMCP区和非EMCP区之间观察到较高的基因流(12.90,6.16,5.06和2.38)。RST的灵敏度高于FST,说明分化可能是由于突变而非遗传漂变引起的。【结论】本研究表明,在EMCP区和非EMCP区内以及EMCP区和非EMCP区之间存在很高的基因流。基因流水平高以及抗虫性的发展似乎是EMCP区和非EMCP区疟疾病例发生增加的重要原因。Arvind SHARMA Richa SHARMA Ashwani KUMAR Madhulika DUBE Surendra Kumar GAKHAR 2015昆虫学报2015,58,1:1

14Self-Management of Low Back Pain Using Neural Network显示文摘Low back pain(LBP)is a morbid condition that has afflicted several citizens in Europe.It has negatively impacted the European economy due to several man-days lost,with bed rest and forced inactivity being the usual LBP care and management steps.Direct models,which incorporate various regression analyses,have been executed for the investigation of this premise due to the simplicity of translation.However,such straight models fail to completely consider the impact of association brought about by a mix of nonlinear connections and autonomous factors.In this paper,we discuss a system that aids decision-making regarding the best-suited support system for LBP,allowing the individual to avail of reinforcement and improvement in its self-management.These activities are monitored with the help of a wearable sensor that helps in their detection and their classification as those that soothe or aggravate LBP and hence,should or should not be performed.This system helps the patients set their own boundaries and milestones with respect to suitable activities.This system also does windowing and feature extraction.The present study is an empirical and comparative analysis of the most suitable activities that patients suffering from low back pain can select.The evaluation shows that the system can distinguish between nine common daily activities effectively and helps self-monitor these activities for the efficient management of LBP.Purushottam Sharma Mohammed Alshehri Richa Sharma Osama Alfarraj 2021Computers, Materials & Continua2021,,1:0
15Motion-Based Activities Monitoring through Biometric Sensors Using Genetic Algorithm显示文摘Sensors and physical activity evaluation are quite limited for motionbased commercial devices.Sometimes the accelerometer of the smartwatch is utilized;walking is investigated.The combination can perform better in terms of sensors and that can be determined by sensors on both the smartwatch and phones,i.e.,accelerometer and gyroscope.For biometric efficiency,some of the diverse activities of daily routine have been evaluated,also with biometric authentication.The result shows that using the different computing techniques in phones and watch for biometric can provide a suitable output based on the mentioned activities.This indicates that the high feasibility and results of continuous biometrics analysis in terms of average daily routine activities.In this research,the set of rules with the real-valued attributes are evolved with the use of a genetic algorithm.With the help of real value genes,the real value attributes cab be encoded,and presentation of new methods which are represents not to cares in the rules.The rule sets which help in maximizing the number of accurate classifications of inputs and supervise classifications are viewed as an optimization problem.The use of Pitt approach to the ML(Machine Learning)and Genetic based system that includes a resolution mechanism among rules that are competing within the same rule sets is utilized.This enhances the efficiency of the overall system,as shown in the research.Mohammed Alshehri Purushottam Sharma Richa Sharma Osama Alfarraj 2021Computers, Materials & Continua2021,,3:0
16Clinical pregnancy rate of women with unexplained infertility with or without cervical mucus aspiration before intrauterine insemination: A randomized controlled trial显示文摘Objective:To detect effect of removing cervical mucus before performing intrauterine insemination(IUI)on pregnancy rate in patients with unexplained infertility.Methods:The randomized controlled trial was conducted in Infertility Division of Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of a tertiary care hospital.Totally 80 patients of unexplained infertility were recruited.By computer generated block randomization in block size of 4 and 6,patients were randomly allocated at time of starting ovarian stimulation into the cervical mucus removal group or the non-removal of cervical mucus group before IUI,40 in each group.Ovarian stimulation with clomiphene 100 mg from day 2-6 of menstrual cycle along with human menopausal gonadotropin 150 IU was given alternate day starting from day 7.Follicular monitoring was done and further doses given as per response;trigger was planned when 1-3 follicle reach a diameter of>18 mm.IUI was planned after trigger.IUI was done as per the group allocated.Mucus cleaning was done in the cervical mucus removal group by aspirating mucus with IUI syringe and sterile cotton swab before IUI.The primary outcome was clinical pregnancy rate.Number of difficult IUIs and cycle cancellation due to ovarian hyperstimulation were also noted.Results:IUI was not done in 4 patients due to hyperstimulation.Pregnancies per IUI cycle occurred in 7.9%(3/38)in the cervical mucus removal group and 21.1%(8/38)in the non-removal of cervical mucus group.There was no statistically significant difference in clinical pregnancy rate between two groups(P=0.19).Conclusions:There is a trend towards a lower clinical pregnancy rate with removal of cervical mucus before IUI in women of unexplained infertility though the difference is not statistically significant.Further studies with large sample size need to be done on this intervention.Richa Vatsa Vanita Suri Shalini Gainder Aashima Arora Japleen Kaur Neelam Choudhary Shruti Sharma 2022Asian pacific Journal of Reproduction2022,11,6:0

18A review on re-emerging bacteriophage therapy in the era of XDR显示文摘In the present medicine world antibiotic resistance is one of the key threats to universal health coverage.Researchers continue to work hard to combat this global health concern.Phage therapy,an age-old practice during the early twentieth century,was outshined by the discovery of antibiotics.With the advent of widespread antibiotic resistance,phage therapy has again redeemed itself as a potential alternative owing to its adeptness to target bacteria precisely.Limited side effects,the ability to migrate to different body organs,a distinct mode of action,and proliferation at the infection site,make phages a profitable candidate to replace conventional antibiotics.The progressive outcome of numerous in vitro studies and case reports has validated the clinical efficacy of phage therapy.The bright perspective of using phages to treat bacterial infections has fueled enormous medical research to exploit their potential as therapeutics.The gaps in the information about phages and the lack of consent for clinical trials is major hurdle for consideration of phage therapy.Crafting phage therapy as a reality in medicine requires a coordinated effort from different fraternities.With this review,we aim to emphasize the importance of phage therapy in modern medicine.This review explains their historical journey,basic phage biology,cross-talk with the host immunity,obstacles with phage therapy,and their possible remedies.Comprehensive data on the various significant clinical trials of phage therapy has been presented.We evaluated the efficacy of antibiotics and phage therapy in part and in combination,along with recent progress and future perspectives of phage therapy.POOJA BHADORIYA RICHA SHARMA REKHA MEHROTRA SIMRAN KAUR ISHA SRIVASTAVA MUKUL JAIN PRASHANT KAUSHIK 2023BIOCELL2023,47,9:0
