2Vehicle Planar Motion Stability Study for Tyres Working in Extremely Nonlinear Region显示文摘Many researches on vehicle planar motion stability focus on two degrees of freedom(2DOF) vehicle model,and only the lateral velocity (or side slip angle) and yaw rate are considered as the state variables.The stability analysis methods,such as phase plane analysis,equilibriums analysis and bifurcation analysis,are all used to draw many classical conclusions.It is concluded from these researches that unbounded growth of the vehicle motion during unstable operation is untrue in reality thus one limitation of the 2DOF model.The fundamental assumption of the 2DOF model is that the longitudinal velocity is treated as a constant,but this is intrinsically incorrect.When tyres work in extremely nonlinear region,the coupling between the vehicle longitudinal and lateral motion becomes significant.For the purpose of solving the above problem,the effect of vehicle longitudinal velocity on the stability of the vehicle planar motion when tyres work in extremely nonlinear region is investigated.To this end,a 3DOF model which introducing the vehicular longitudinal dynamics is proposed and the 3D phase space portrait method is employed for visualization of vehicle dynamics.Through the comparisons of the 2DOF and 3DOF models,it is discovered that the vehicle longitudinal velocity greatly affects the vehicle planar motion,and the vehicle dynamics represented in phase space portrait are fundamentally different from that of the 2DOF model.The vehicle planar motion with different front wheel steering angles is further represented by the corresponding vehicle route,yaw rate and yaw angle.These research results enhance the understanding of the stability of the vehicle system particularly during nonlinear region,and provide the insight into analyzing the attractive region and designing the vehicle stability controller,which will be the topics of future works.LIU Li SHI Shuming SHEN Shuiwen CHU Jiangwei 2010Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2010,23,2:8

4Modified Tire-Slip-Angle Model for Chaotic Vehicle Steering Motion显示文摘The 5-DOF vehicle model employs the classical tire-slip-angle model to elicit the stability characteristics in vehicle handling during chaotic motion.However,the energy is not conserved,and the simulation results do not match actual behavior in that the vehicle should stop having lost balance.We have analyzed the limitations of the classical tire-slip-angle equation,and developed another model,which can be applied to all conditions.To ensure the correct use of the Pacejka’s magic formula for vehicle dynamics,we discuss the differences in tire axis systems between the ISO and adapted SAE(Pacejka),and propose a transformation method relating the two different tire axis systems.Finally,simulations are described that are performed in accordance with the established 5-DOF vehicle system dynamics model.The simulation results show that all states returned to the stable region after the vehicle had lost balance.The process involved energy dissipation,and approaches the response actually experienced.The limitations of the classical tire-slip-angle model are fully displayed and the effectiveness of the proposed slip angle model is demonstrated in unsteady vehicle states.Yu Mu Ling Li Shuming Shi 2018Automotive Innovation2018,1,2:3
5A Dual-Platform Laser Scanner for 3D Reconstruction of Dental Pieces显示文摘This paper presents a dual-platform scanner for dental reconstruction based on a three-dimensional(3D)laser-scanning method.The scanner combines translation and rotation platforms to perform a holistic scanning.A hybrid calibration method for laser scanning is proposed to improve convenience and precision.This method includes an integrative method for data collection and a hybrid algorithm for data processing.The integrative method conveniently collects a substantial number of calibrating points with a stepped gauge and a pattern for both the translation and rotation scans.The hybrid algorithm,which consists of a basic model and a compensation network,achieves strong stability with a small degree of errors.The experiments verified the hybrid calibration method and the scanner application for the measurement of dental pieces.Two typical dental pieces were measured,and the experimental results demonstrated the validity of the measurement that was performed using the dual-platform scanner.This method is effective for the 3D reconstruction of dental pieces,as well as that of objects with irregular shapes in engineering fields.Shuming Yang Xinyu Shi Guofeng Zhang Changshuo Lv 2018Engineering2018,4,6:3
6Fabric changes induced by super-absorbent polymer on cementelime stabilized excavated clayey soil显示文摘This paper studies the microstructure variation induced by super-absorbent polymer(SAP)to understand the mechanism of macroscopic strength improvement of stabilized soil.The fabric changes of cement elime stabilized soil were analyzed with respect to the variation of SAP content,water content,lime content and curing time,using mercury intrusion porosimetry(MIP)tests.It can be observed that the delimitation pore diameter between inter-and intra-aggregate pores was 0.2 mm for the studied soil,determined through the intrusion/extrusion cycles.Experimental results showed that fabric in both inter-and intra-aggregate pores varied significantly with SAP content,lime content,water content and curing time.Two main changes in fabric due to SAP are identified as:(1)an increase in intra-aggregate pores(<0.2 mm)due to the closer soilecementelime cluster space at higher SAP content;and(2)a decrease in inter-aggregate pores represented by a reduction in small-pores(0.2e2 mm)due to the lower pore volume of soil mixture after water absorption by SAP,and a slight increase in large-pores(>2 mm)due to the shrinkage of SAP particle during the freezeedry process of MIP test.Accordingly,the strength gain due to SAP for cementelime stabilized soil was mainly due to a denser fabric with less interaggregate pores.The cementitious products gradually developed over time,leading to an increase in intra-aggregate pores with an increasing proportion of micro-pores(0.006e0.2 mm).Meanwhile,the inter-aggregate pores were filled by cementitious products,resulting in a decrease in total void ratio.Hence,the strength development over time is attributable to the enhancement of cementation bonding and the refinement of fabric due to the increasing cementitious compounds.Xia Bian Lingling Zeng Xiaozhao Li Xiusong Shi Shuming Zhou Fuqing Li 2021Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2021,13,5:3

11Synthesis, crystal structure and properties of binuclear manganese complex [(bipy)_2Mn_2(/J-O)(/i-Ac)_2(H_2O)_2](ClO_4)_2显示文摘Binuclear manganese complex [(bipy)2Mn2(μ-O)(μ-Ac)2(H2O)2](CIO4)2 was synthesized by the reaction of MnAc3 · 2H2O with 2,2’-bipyridine in the HAc-NaAc buffer (pH = 4.0). X-ray diffraction result for the single crystal shows that the crystal is monoclinic, space group C2/C, with a = 3.4082(7), 6 = 0.8644(2), c= 2.174 9(4) nm,β= 105.2°, V =6.186(2) nm3, Z= 8. There are two very strong peaks of UV-Vis spectrum in the range of 400-600 nm, which are similar to those of Mn catalase and Mn ribonuleotide reductase extracted from organisms. 13Controlled growth of a single carbon nanotube on an AFM probe显示文摘Carbon nanotubes(CNTs)can be used as atomic force microscopy(AFM)tips for high-resolution scanning due to their small diameter,high aspect ratio and outstanding wear resistance.However,previous approaches for fabricating CNT probes are complex and poorly controlled.In this paper,we introduce a simple method to selectively fabricate a single CNT on an AFM tip by controlling the trigger threshold to adjust the amount of growth solution attached to the tip.The yield rate is over 93%.The resulting CNT probes are suitable in length,without the need for a subsequent cutting process.We used the CNT probe to scan the complex nanostructure with a high aspect ratio,thereby solving the long-lasting problem of mapping complex nanostructures.Biyao Cheng Shuming Yang Wei Li Shi Li Shareen Shafique Dong Wu Shengyun Ji Yu Sun Zhuangde Jiang 2021Microsystems & Nanoengineering2021,7,5:0
