1Recent advances and future challenges for massive MIMO channel measurements and models显示文摘The emerging fifth generation(5G) wireless communication system raises new requirements on spectral efficiency and energy efficiency. A massive multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) system, equipped with tens or even hundreds of antennas, is capable of providing significant improvements to spectral efficiency,energy efficiency, and robustness of the system. For the design, performance evaluation, and optimization of massive MIMO wireless communication systems, realistic channel models are indispensable. This article provides an overview of the latest developments in massive MIMO channel measurements and models. Also, we compare channel characteristics of four latest massive MIMO channel models, such as receiver spatial correlation functions and channel capacities. 2Influence of magma intrusion on gas outburst in a low rank coal mine显示文摘The effect of magma intrusion on gas outburst is illustrated by a case study of the exposed magma intrusion in the 313 mining area,upper coal seam Number 3,in the Qiwu Mine located in Shandong province.Vitrinite reflectance,mercury injection,and maceral statistical analysis are used to characterize the coal.The aspects of coal metamorphism include changes in micro-components as well as in coal structure,the formation of new substances,and changes in gas absorption and storage.The results show that vitrinite reflectance increases within the region influenced by magma intrusion.The metamorphosed region may be divided into a weakly affected belt,a medium affected belt,a strongly affected belt,and a completely affected belt.Compared to the unaffected coal the total pore volume,as well as the amount of big and middle sized holes,increases while the number of transition holes and micro-pores decreases.This diminishes the absorption capacity of the matrix but enlarges the total gas storage space.Vitrinite content initially decreases slightly but then increases rapidly while the inertinite content increases at first but then decreases.Exinite content decreases,then increases,and finally drops to zero.Higher vitrinite,and a lower inertinite,content increase gas absorption ability.This balances reduced adsorption caused by changes to pore structure.Consequently,gas adsorption capacity is not substantially reduced as the coal rank increases.Thermal metamorphism of the coal produces CH4 and other hydrocarbons that increase the total gas content in the coal seam.Asphaltene migrates into the medium and weakly affected regions filling in the pores and fractures there.This plugs the pathway for gas transport.A barrier is formed that hinders gas flow.CO2,H2S,N2,and other gases carried in by the magma react to produce CO2,which increases in relative concentration and enhances the risk of gas outburst.The two barriers,magma intrusion on one side and the medium and weakly affected belts on the other,as well as the unaffected coal seam itself,trap a large amount of gas during the thermal activity.This is the basic reason for gas outburst.These conclusions can enlighten activities related to gas prevention and control in a low rank coal mine affected by magma intrusion.Chen Shangbin Zhu Yanming Li Wu Wang Hui 2012International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2012,22,2:11

4In-situ assembly of TiO2 with high exposure of(001)facets on three-dimensional porous graphene aerogel for lithium-sulfur battery显示文摘Resulting from the development of electric vehicles,high energy-density Li-S batteries have recently attracted ever-increasing attentions worldwide.However,continuous dissolution of cathodic sulfur and followed shuttle effect of polysulfides lead to very limited service lifetime for currently-applied Li-S batteries.Herein,a 3 D porous graphene aerogel(GA)decorated with high exposure of anatase TiO2(001)nanoplatelets is proposed as robust host to immobilize cathodic sulfur.Compared with commonly used TiO2(101)nanoparticles,the Ti O2(001)nanoplatelets have highly matched lattices with graphene(002)nanosheets,thus facilitating the electronic transfer.The in-site assembled TiO2@GA host exhibits superior sulfur-immobilized capability,which cannot only entrap sulfur by physical confinement,but also capture dissoluble sulfurous species by chemical bonding.The fabricated S@TiO2@GA cathode shows excellent electrochemical performance with high discharge capacity,superior rate capability,and durable cycling stability as well,supposed to be a promising cathode for high-performance Li-S battery applications.Ming Wang Shunyuan Tan Shuting Kan Yufeng Wu Shangbin Sang Kaiyu Liu Hongtao Liu 2020Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,10:3

8Energy efficiency and area spectral efficiency tradeoff for coexisting wireless body sensor networks显示文摘The coexistence of wireless body sensor networks(WBSNs) is a very challenging problem, due to strong interference, which seriously affects energy consumption and spectral reuse. The energy efficiency and spectral efficiency are two key performance evaluation metrics for wireless communication networks. In this paper, the fundamental tradeoff between energy efficiency and area spectral efficiency of WBSNs is first investigated under the Poisson point process(PPP) model and Matern hard-core point process(HCPP) model using stochastic geometry. The circuit power consumption is taken into consideration in energy efficiency calculation. The tradeoff judgement coefficient is developed and is shown to serve as a promising complementary measure. In addition, this paper proposes a new nearest neighbour distance power control strategy to improve energy efficiency. We show that there exists an optimal transmit power highly dependant on the density of WBSNs and the nearest neighbour distance. Some important properties are also addressed in the analysis of coexisting WBSNs based on the IEEE 802.15.4 standard, such as the impact of intensity nodes distribution,optimal guard zone, and outage probability. Simulation results show that the proposed power control design can reduce the outage probability and enhance energy efficiency. Energy efficiency and area spectral efficiency of the HCPP model are better than those of the PPP model. 11Panicle-3D: A low-cost 3D-modeling method for rice panicles based on deep learning, shape from silhouette, and supervoxel clustering显示文摘Self-occlusions are common in rice canopy images and strongly influence the calculation accuracies of panicle traits. Such interference can be largely eliminated if panicles are phenotyped at the 3 D level.Research on 3 D panicle phenotyping has been limited. Given that existing 3 D modeling techniques do not focus on specified parts of a target object, an efficient method for panicle modeling of large numbers of rice plants is lacking. This paper presents an automatic and nondestructive method for 3 D panicle modeling. The proposed method integrates shoot rice reconstruction with shape from silhouette, 2 D panicle segmentation with a deep convolutional neural network, and 3 D panicle segmentation with ray tracing and supervoxel clustering. A multiview imaging system was built to acquire image sequences of rice canopies with an efficiency of approximately 4 min per rice plant. The execution time of panicle modeling per rice plant using 90 images was approximately 26 min. The outputs of the algorithm for a single rice plant are a shoot rice model, surface shoot rice model, panicle model, and surface panicle model, all represented by a list of spatial coordinates. The efficiency and performance were evaluated and compared with the classical structure-from-motion algorithm. The results demonstrated that the proposed method is well qualified to recover the 3 D shapes of rice panicles from multiview images and is readily adaptable to rice plants of diverse accessions and growth stages. The proposed algorithm is superior to the structure-from-motion method in terms of texture preservation and computational efficiency. The sample images and implementation of the algorithm are available online. 14LGNet:Local and global representation learning for fast biomedical image segmentation显示文摘Medical image segmentation plays a crucial role in clinical diagnosis and therapy systems,yet still faces many challenges.Building on convolutional neural networks(CNNs),medical image segmentation has achieved tremendous progress.However,owing to the locality of convolution operations,CNNs have the inherent limitation in learning global context.To address the limitation in building global context relationship from CNNs,we propose LGNet,a semantic segmentation network aiming to learn local and global features for fast and accurate medical image segmentation in this paper.Specifically,we employ a two-branch architecture consisting of convolution layers in one branch to learn local features and transformer layers in the other branch to learn global features.LGNet has two key insights:(1)We bridge two-branch to learn local and global features in an interactive way;(2)we present a novel multi-feature fusion model(MSFFM)to leverage the global contexture information from transformer and the local representational features from convolutions.Our method achieves state-of-the-art trade-off in terms of accuracy and efficiency on several medical image segmentation benchmarks including Synapse,ACDC and MOST.Specifically,LGNet achieves the state-of-the-art performance with Dice's indexes of 80.15%on Synapse,of 91.70%on ACDC,and of 95.56%on MOST.Meanwhile,the inference speed attains at 172 frames per second with 224-224 input resolution.The extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed LGNet for fast and accurate for medical image segmentation.Guoping Xu Xuan Zhang Wentao Liao Shangbin Chen Xinglong Wu 2023Journal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences2023,16,4:0
