| 3 | Progresses in Sustainable Recycling Technology of Spent Lithium-Ion Batteries显示文摘The number of lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)is steadily increasing in order to meet the ever-growing demand for sustainable energy and a high quality of life for humankind.At the same time,the resulting large number of LIB waste certainly poses safety hazards if it is not properly disposed of and will seriously harm the environment due to its inherent toxicity due to the use of toxic substances.Moreover,the consumption of many scarce precious metal resources is behind the mass production of batteries.In the light of severe environmental,resources,safety and recycling problems,recycling spent LIBs have become an essential urgently needed action to achieve sustainable social development.This review therefore critically analyses the value and the need for recycling of spent LIBs from a variety of resources and the environment.A range of existing technologies for recycling and reusing spent LIBs,such as pretreatment,pyrometallurgy,hydrometallurgy,and direct recycled methods,is subsequently summarized exclusively.In addition,the benefits and problems of the methods described above are analyzed in detail.It also introduces recycling progress of other LIB components,such as anodes,separators,and electrolytes,as well as the high-value cathode.Finally,the prospects for recycling LIBs are addressed in four ways(government,users,battery manufacturers,and recyclers).This review should contribute to the development of the recycling of used LIBs,particularly in support of industrialization and recycling processes. | Kaidi Du Edison Huixiang Ang Xinglong Wu Yichun Liu | 2022 | Energy & Environmental Materials2022,5,4: | 7 |
| 4 | A microporous surface containing Si3N4/Ta microparticles of PEKK exhibits both antibacterial and osteogenic activity for inducing cellular response and improving osseointegration显示文摘As an implantable biomaterial,polyetherketoneketone(PEKK)exhibits good mechanical strength but it is biologically inert while tantalum(Ta)possesses outstanding osteogenic bioactivity but has a high density and elastic modulus.Also,silicon nitride(SN)has osteogenic and antibacterial activity.In this study,a microporous surface containing both SN and Ta microparticles on PEKK(STP)exhibiting excellent osteogenic and antibacterial activity was created by sulfonation.Compared with sulfonated PEKK(SPK)without microparticles,the surface properties(roughness,surface energy,hydrophilicity and protein adsorption)of STP significantly increased due to the SN and Ta particles presence on the microporous surface.In addition,STP also exhibited outstanding antibacterial activity,which inhibited bacterial growth in vitro and prevented bacterial infection in vivo because of the presence of SN particles.Moreover,the microporous surface of STP containing both SN and Ta particles remarkably induced response(e.g.,proliferation and differentiation)of rat bone mesenchymal stem(rBMS)cells in vitro.Furthermore,STP significantly improved new bone regeneration and osseointegration in vivo.Regarding the induction of cellular response in vitro and improvement of osseointegration in vivo,the microporous surface containing Ta was better than the surface with SN particles.In conclusion,STP with optimized surface properties activated cellular responses in vitro,enhanced osseointegration and prevented infection in vivo.Therefore,STP possessed the dual biofunctions of excellent osteogenic and antibacterial activity,showing great potential as a bone substitute. | Xinglong Hu Shiqi Mei Fan Wang Songchao Tang Dong Xie Chao Ding Wenli Du Jun Zhao Lili Yang Zhaoying Wu Jie Wei | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,10: | 6 |
| 5 | Implantable PEKK/tantalum microparticles composite with improved surface performances for regulating cell behaviors,promoting bone formation and osseointegration显示文摘Polyetherketoneketone(PEKK)exhibits admirable biocompatibility and mechanical performances but bioinert while tantalum(Ta)possesses excellent osteogenesis and osseointegration but high elastic modulus and density,and processing is too difficult and expensive.In the present study,combining of the advantages of both PEKK and Ta,implantable composites of PEKK/Ta were fabricated by blending PEKK with Ta microparticles of 20 v%(PT20)and 40 v%(PT40)content.In comparison with PT20 and PEKK,the surface hydrophilicity,surface energy,roughness and proteins adsorption as well as mechanical performances of PT40 significantly increased because of the higher Ta particles content in PEKK.Furthermore,PT40 exhibited the mechanical performances(e.g.,compressive strength and modulus of elasticity)close to the cortical bone of human.Compared with PT20 and PEKK,PT40 with higher Ta content remarkably enhanced the responses(including adhesion,proliferation and osteogenic differentiation)of MC3T3-E1 cells in vitro.Moreover,PT40 markedly improved bone formation as well as osseointegration in vivo.In short,incorporation of Ta microparticles into PEKK created implantable composites with improved surface performances,which played key roles in stimulating cell responses/bone formation as well as promoting osseointegration.PT40 might have great potential for bear-loading bone substitute. | Xinglong Hu Shiqi Mei Fan Wang Jun Qian Dong Xie Jun Zhao Lili Yang Zhaoying Wu Jie Wei | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,4: | 6 |

| 7 | Characteristics and risk assessment of agricultural meteorological disasters based on 30 years’disaster data from Heilongjiang Province of China显示文摘To determine the influence of agricultural meteorological disasters on agriculture in Heilongjiang Province,the disaster areas associated with different types of disasters and their variation characteristics were analyzed based on the statistical data of agricultural disasters from 1983 to 2013 in Heilongjiang Province,China.The moving average and the Mann-Kendall test were applied to identify the variation trends of drought,flooding,hailstorms and freezing(based on the disaster ratio and the disaster intensity index).Then,the Morlet wavelet analysis method was used to identify the periodicity of these four kinds of agricultural meteorological disasters.Finally,a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method was adopted to analyze the degrees of agricultural loss induced by these disasters.The following results were obtained:1)The disaster ratio and disaster intensity index for drought exhibited increasing trends;the disaster ratio and disaster intensity index for flooding exhibited decreasing trends;for hailstorms,the disaster ratio exhibited no obvious trend of change,whereas the disaster intensity index exhibited an increasing trend;and for freezing,the disaster ratio also exhibited no obvious trend of change,whereas the disaster intensity index exhibited a decreasing trend.2)Mutation points were observed in the disaster ratio series for drought,flooding and hailstorms,whereas no mutation point was evident in the disaster ratio series for freezing.3)Multiple time-scale characteristics were observed in the disaster ratio series for all four types of agricultural meteorological disasters.Furthermore,the disaster ratio series for the different types of disasters had different main periodicities.4)From the perspective of the degree of agricultural loss induced by each type of disaster,drought was identified as the most severe type of agricultural meteorological disaster,followed by flooding,freezing,and hailstorms.The degree of agricultural loss caused by each type of disaster was different during different periods.Finally,based on the results,several strategies were identified for mitigating the effect of agricultural meteorological disasters in Heilongjiang Province. | Xing Zhenxiang Yang Zhaorui Fu Qiang Li Heng Gong Xinglong Wu Jingyan | 2017 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2017,10,6: | 4 |

| 20 | Flexible and breathable 3D porous SSE/MXene foam towards impact/electromagnetic interference/bacteria multiple protection performance for intelligent wearable devices显示文摘As intelligent wearable devices,they will inevitably be subjected to various damages and disturbances from the external environment during daily use.Therefore,it is urgent to develop safeguarding materials with multiple protective properties.Herein,this work developed a flexible and breathable three-dimensional(3D)porous shear stiffening elastomer(SSE)/MXene(M-SSE)foam with impact/electromagnetic interference(EMI)/bacteria multiple protection performance for intelligent wearable devices.The continuous conductive MXene network in the 3D SSE porous structure made M-SSE foam exhibit excellent electromagnetic interference shielding property with a high shielding effectiveness of 34 dB.Attributed to the shear stiffening effect of porous SSE matrix,M-SSE foam possessed unique anti-impact and protection properties.The energy dissipation rate reached up to more than 85%,illustrating M-SSE foam could effectively attenuate the external impact force and absorb the impact energy.Inherited from the excellent photothermal performance of MXene,M-SSE foam achieved a considerable saturated temperature of 98℃ under 0.57 W/cm^(2) laser power.Therefore,M-SSE foam showed extraordinary antimicrobial property for Staphylococcus aureus according to the principle of photothermal sterilization.Finally,for the development of intelligent wearable devices,conductive MSSE foam could be used as an intelligent sensor to monitor various human movements owing to the highly sensitive property.This work greatly expanded the application prospect of multifunctional protective materials in various complex environments and promoted the development of multifunctional smart wearable devices in protection field. | Min Sang Shuai Liu Jianpeng Wu Xinyi Wang Junshuo Zhang Yunqi Xu Yu Wang Jun Li Ji Li Shouhu Xuan Xinglong Gong | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,7: | 1 |
