1The vegetation and climate change during Neocene and Early Quaternary in Jiuxi Basin, China显示文摘Sporopollen record in the Laojunmiao Section at Yumen in the Hexi Corridor foreland depression at the northern margin of the Tibetan Plateau revealed that during the period of 13.0―11.15 Ma the ecological environment of the Jiuxi Basin is characterized by steppe vegetation and a semi-moist climate. During 11.16―8.60 Ma prevailed forests of cypress and a still warmer, moister climate; steppe vegetation and dry climate began probably at about 8.6 Ma. Although aridification had been relaxed time and again during 8.40―6.93 Ma (forest-steppe, warm-semi-moist), 6.64―5.67 Ma (open-forest and steppe, warmer-semi-moist) and 5.42―4.96 Ma (steppe, semi-arid), the climate in the region became drier and drier in response to the fre- quent occurrence of aridity during 6.93―6.64 Ma (steppe, semi-arid), 5.67―5.42 Ma (de- sert-steppe, arid), 3.66―3.30 Ma (desert-steppe, arid) and 2.56―2.21 Ma (desert, arid). 2Extraction and purification of TGFβ and its effect on the induction of apoptosis of hepatocytes显示文摘AIM To extract and purify the transforming growth factor β (TGF β), and to demonstrate its biological activity in vivo and induction of apoptosis of hepatocytes in vitro.METHODS TGF β was isolated from fresh bovine platelets by acid/ethanol extraction method and purified with ion exchange and gel chromatography. The extracted TGF β was injected subcutaneously to mice, and its biological activity in vivo was observed 72 hfs post-injection by HE staining. The morphological changes were observed by HE staining and the occurrence of apoptosis was detected by TUNEL method after the human normal hepatic cell line QZG was treated with 8 μg@L 1 TGFβ for 12 hrs in vitro.RESULTS The molecular mass 25 ku TGF β protein was successfully extracted. It was able to induce localized granulation tissue formation in vivo. TGF β-treated hepatocytes showed obvious apoptotic morphological changes, including the pyknosis and dense-stained nuclei and cytoplasm, the fragmentary, annular or crescent nuclei, and the 'bubbling' cytoplasm. 3Symmetric-key cryptosystem with DNA technology显示文摘DNA cryptography is a new field which has emerged with progress in the research of DNA computing. In our study, a symmetric-key cryptosystem was designed by applying a modern DNA biotechnology, microarray, into cryptographic technologies. This is referred to as DNA symmetric-key cryptosystem (DNASC). In DNASC, both encryption and decryption keys are formed by DNA probes, while its ciphertext is embedded in a specially designed DNA chip (microarray). The security of this system is mainly rooted in difficult biology processes and problems, rather than conventional computing technology, thus it is unaffected by changes from the attack of the coming quantum computer. The encryption process is a fabrication of a specially designed DNA chip and the decryption process is the DNA hybridization. In DNASC, billions of DNA probes are hybridized and identified at the same time, thus the decryption process is conducted in a massive, parallel way. 7RADIAL GROWTH OF HUASHAN PINE AND ITS RESPONSE TO CLIMATE显示文摘Huashan pine (Finus armandii Franch) is a poential species for dendroclimatic study. Ring-width cores were sampled for four stands of two sites from the eastern extreme of the Qinling Mountains. The ring-width chronologies developed in this study cover a maximum Period from A.D. 1359 t0 1992 and show high common chronology variance over the common period 1911-1960.All the chronologies are significantly correlated with all others, and the degree of correlation appears related to tree age. Response function analyses reveal that from 41 to 75 Percent of chronology variance can be accounted for by monthly mean air temperature and monthly total precipitation. A sufficiently strong correlation of ringwidth index with May and June rainfall and June temperature exists, implying soil moisture to be a limiting factor for Huashan pine growth. 8Development of a script of phonemically balanced monosyllable lists of Mandarin-Chinese显示文摘Objectives To develop a set of monosyllable audiometry test material that can be used in speech recognition testing in Mandarin Chinese. Materials and Methods In an effort to improve reliability and efficiency in clinical practice, a set of 30 test lists of 25 monosyllable test items each was designed with consideration of the following: length of the list, phonemical balance (PB), word utility frequency, coverage of common words, and equivalency among lists. The 30 lists contained 750 monosyllabic words and were constructed on the basis of Chinese phoneme distribution probability summarized in the Manual of Acoustic. The occurrence incidence of the 22 consonants, 36 vowels, and 4 tones of the Chinese Mandarin characters in the 30 test lists were calculated. To achieve PB, 489 monosyllables were selected from the 2500 most commonly used Chinese characters and the 4000 most commonly used Chinese phrases to compile the 30 monosyllable test lists using a computer algorithm with manual adjustment. Results Thirty phonemical balanced word lists of common Mandarin Chinese monosyllabic words were compiled. Each list consisted of 25 monosyllables. A total of 489 phonemes (consonants, vowels and tones) were included in the set. 9Short-segment Barrett's esophagus and cardia intestinal metaplasia:A comparative analysis显示文摘AIM:To investigate the endoscopy and histology of short-segment Barrett's esophagus (SSBE) and cardia intestinal metaplasia (CIM),and their correlation with Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) gastritis and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). METHODS:Biopsy specimens were taken from 32 SSBE patients and 41 CIM patients with normal appearance of the esophagogastric junction. Eight biopsy specimens from the lower esophagus,cardia,and gastric antrum were stained with hematoxylin/eosin,Alcian blue/periodic acid-Schiff,Alcian blue/high iron diamine and Gimenez dye. Results were graded independently by one pathologist. RESULTS:The SSBE patients were younger than the CIM patients (P < 0.01). The incidence of dysplasia and incomplete intestinal metaplasia subtype was higher in SSBE patients than in CIM patients (P < 0.01). H. pylori infection was correlated with antral intestinal metaplasia (P < 0.05),but not with reflux symptomatic,endoscopic,or histological markers of GERD in CIM patients. SSBE was correlated with reflux symptomatic and endoscopic esophagitis (P < 0.01),but not with H. pylori infection and antral intestinal metaplasia. CONCLUSION:Dysplasia risk is significantly greater in SSBE patients than in CIM patients. 11Nonlinear dynamics of self-oscillating polymer gels显示文摘Self-oscillating polymer gels driven by Belousov-Zhabotinsky (BZ) chemical reaction are a new class of functional gels that have a wide range of potential applications (e.g., autonomously functioning membranes, actuate artificial muscles). However, the precise control of these gels has been an issue due to limited investigations of the influences of key system parameters on the characteristics of BZ gels. To address this deficiency, we studied the self-oscillating behavior of BZ gels using the nonline-ar dynamics theory and an Oregonator-like model, with focus placed upon the influences of various system parameters. The analysis of the oscillation phase indicated that the dynamic response of BZ gels represents the classical limit cycle oscillation. We then investigated the characteristics of the limit cycle oscillation and quantified the influences of key parameters (i.e., ini-tial reactant concentration, oxidation and reduction rate of catalyst, and response coefficient) on the self-oscillating behavior of BZ gels. The results demonstrated that sustained limit cycle oscillation of BZ gels can be achieved only when these key pa-rameters meet certain requirements, and that the pattern, period and amplitude of the oscillation are significantly influenced by these parameters. The results obtained in this study could enable the controlled self-oscillation of BZ gels system. 14Thermal oxide synthesis and characterization of Fe_3O_4 nanorods and Fe_2O_3 nanowires显示文摘Fe3O4 nanorods and Fe2O3 nanowires have been synthesized through a simple thermal oxide reaction of Fe with C2H2O4 solution at 200-600℃ for 1 h in the air. The morphology and structure of Fe3O4 nanorods and Fe2O3 nanowires were detected with powder X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The influence of temperature on the morphology development was experimentally investigated. The results show that the polycrystals Fe3O4 nanorods with cubic structure and the average diameter of 0.5-0.8 μm grow after reaction at 200-500℃ for 1 h in the air. When the temperature was 600℃, the samples completely became Fe2O3 nanowires with hexagonal structure. It was found that C2H2O4 molecules had a significant effect on the formation of Fe3O4 nanorods. 15经导管动脉栓塞术治疗肝癌:最新临床证据显示文摘对不能接受根治性治疗如肝移植、肿瘤切除术或经皮射频消融术(radiofrequency ablation,RFA)的肝细胞肝癌(hepatocellular carcinoma,HCC)患者,经导管动脉化疗栓塞术(transarterial chemoembolization,TACE)或放疗栓塞术(transarterial radioembolization,TARE)是治疗的核心手段。近期研究证据显示:对于无血管侵犯、3 cm及以下单结节型HCC患者,TACE与肿瘤切除术及RFA后的5年总生存率相似。尽管已应用数十年,碘油(超液化碘油®,Lipiodol®Ultra Fluid,Guerbet,France)作为一种亲肿瘤性且不透射线的药物运输载体在肿瘤介入治疗中的地位依然重要。药物缓释微球(drug-eluting bead,DEB)是栓塞术中一种较新型的药物输送方式,既可维持药物浓度,也可持续释放抗癌药。现有三种DEB可供临床选择使用,即Tandem®(Celo Nova Biosciences Inc.),DC-Beads®(BTG,UK)和Hepa Sphere®(Bio Sphere Medical,Inc.,USA)。经动脉TARE已被证实可安全有效地运用于晚期肝癌及有肝血管侵犯的患者。两种放射性栓塞微粒可供临床选择使用,即SIR-Spheres®(Sirtex Medical Limited,Australia)和Thera Sphere®(BTG,UK)。本文总结肝癌经导管动脉治疗的关键临床试验。Yì-Xiáng J.Wáng Thierry De Baere Jean-Marc Idée Sébastien Ballet 邓敏 王毅翔 2015临床与病理杂志2015,35,7:2
