1Influence of different weather events on concentrations of particulate matter with different sizes in Lanzhou,China显示文摘The formation and development of weather events has a great impact on the diffusion,accumulation and transport of air pollutants,and causes great changes in the particulate pollution level.It is very important to study their influence on particulate pollution.Lanzhou is one of the most particulate-polluted cities in China and even in the world.Particulate matter(PM) including TSP,PM >10,PM 2.5 10,PM 2.5 and PM 1.0 concentrations were simultaneously measured during 2005-2007 in Lanzhou to evaluate the influence of three kinds of weather events-dust,precipitation and cold front-on the concentrations of PM with different sizes and detect the temporal evolution.The main results are as follows:(1) the PM pollution in Lanzhou during dust events was very heavy and the rate of increase in the concentration of PM 2.5 10 was the highest of the five kinds of particles.During dust-storm events,the highest peaks of the concentrations of fine particles(PM 2.5 and PM 1.0) occurred 3 hr later than those of coarse particles(PM >10 and PM 2.5 10).(2) The major effect of precipitation events on PM is wet scavenging.The scavenging rates of particles were closely associated with the kinds of precipitation events.The scavenging rates of TSP,PM >10 and PM 2.5 10 by convective precipitation were several times as high as those caused by frontal precipitation for the same precipitation amount,the reason being the different formation mechanism and precipitation characteristics of the two kinds of precipitation.Moreover,there exists a limiting value for the scavenging rates of particles by precipitation.(3) The major effect of cold-front events on particles is clearance.However,during cold-front passages,the PM concentrations could sometimes rise first and decrease afterwards,which is the critical difference in the influence of cold fronts on the concentrations of particulate pollutants vs.gaseous pollutants.Xinyuan Feng Shigong Wang 2012Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,4:18
2KIF2C:a novel link between Wnt/β-catenin and mTORCI signaling in the pathogenesis of hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is the most common primary liver malignancy and is the fourth-leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide.HCC is refractory to many standard cancer treatments and the prognosis is often poor,highlighting a pressing need to identify biomarkers of aggressiveness and potential targets for future treatments.Kinesin family member 2C(KIF2C)is reported to be highly expressed in several human tumors.Nevertheless,the molecular mechanisms underlying the role of KIF2C in tumor development and progression have not been investigated.In this study,we found that KIF2C expression was significantly upregulated in HCC,and that KIF2C up-regulation was associated with a poor prognosis.Utilizing both gain and loss of function assays,we showed that KIF2C promoted HCC cell proliferation,migration,invasion,and metastasis both in vitro and in vivo.Mechanistically,we identified TBC1D7 as a binding partner of KIF2C,and this interaction disrupts the formation of the TSC complex,resulting in the enhancement of mammalian target of rapamycin complexl(mTORCI)signal transduction.Additionally,we found that KIF2C is a direct target of the Wnt/β-catenin pathway,and acts as a key factor in mediating the crosstalk between Wnt/β-catenin and mTORCI signaling.Thus,the results of our study establish a link between Wnt/β-catenin and mTORCI signaling,which highlights the potential of KIF2C as a therapeutic target for the treatment of HCC.Shi Wei Miaomiao Dai Chi Zhang Kai Teng Fengwei Wang Hongbo Li Weipeng Sun Zihao Feng Tiebang Kang Xinyuan Guan Ruihua Xu Muyan Cai Dan Xie 2021Protein & Cell2021,12,10:8
3Different surface modification methods and coating materials of zinc metal anode显示文摘Rechargeable aqueous Zn-ion batteries(AZIBs)are one of the most promising energy storage devices for large-scale energy storage owing to their high specific capacity,eco-friendliness,low cost and high safety.Nevertheless,zinc metal anodes suffer from severe dendrite growth and side reactions,resulting in the inferior electrochemical performance of AZIBs.To address these problems,surface modification of zinc metal anodes is a facile and effective method to regulate the interaction between the zinc anode and an electrolyte.In this review,the current challenges and strategies for zinc metal anodes are presented.Furthermore,recent advances in surface modification strategies to improve their electrochemical performance are concluded and discussed.Finally,challenges and prospects for future development of zinc metal anodes are proposed.We hope this review will be useful for designing and fabricating highperformance AZIBs and boosting their practical applications.Feng Tao Yong Liu Xinyuan Ren Jing Wang Yazhou Zhou Yingjie Miao Fengzhang Ren Shizhong Wei Jianmin Ma 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,3:4
4Analysis of the Structure of Different Tibetan Plateau Vortex Types显示文摘Knowledge of the structure of the Tibetan Plateau vortex(TPV) is of considerable importance for understanding the generation and development mechanisms of this mesoscale system. However, our understanding of vortex structures and our ability to classify them on a physical basis is limited due to insufficient observations. The highresolution new-generation NCEP-CFSR(Climate Forecast System Reanalysis) dataset is used in the present paper to investigate the general structural features of various types of mature TPV through classification and composite structure analysis. Results indicate that the dynamic and thermodynamic structures show regional and seasonal dependency, as well as being influenced by attributes of translation, associated precipitation, and the South Asian high(SAH). The common precipitating TPV(type I), frequently occurring in the west–east-oriented zonal region between 33°and 36°N, is a notably low-level baroclinic and asymmetric system. It resides within a large-scale confluent zone and preferentially travels eastward, potentially moving out of the plateau. The heavy rain vortex(type II) corresponds to a deep vortex circulation occurring in midsummer. The low-level baroclinic sub-category(type IIa) is associated with a low-level jet and mainly originates in the area 32°–35°N, 86°–94°E, preferentially moving east of 90°E and even away from the plateau; meanwhile, the nearly upright sub-category(type IIb), which has a cold center at low levels and a warm center at mid–upper levels, is a quasi-stationary and quasi-symmetric system favorably occurring west of92°E. A western-pattern SAH exists in the upper troposphere for these two sub-categories. The springtime dry vortex in the western plateau(type III) is warm and shallow(approximately 100 h Pa deep), and zonal circulation dominates the large-scale environmental flows in the middle and upper troposphere. The precipitating vortex in the southern plateau occurring during July–August(type IV) is not affected by northerly flow at low levels. 8Effect of Kushen(Radix Sophorae flavescentis) extract on laryngeal neoplasm Hep2 cells显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the effect of fermented extract of Kushen(Radix Sophorae Flavescentis) or non-fermented ESF on laryngeal neoplasms Hep2 cells.METHODS:Use 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide(MTT) assay to explore the effect of fermented ESF and non-fermented ESF on Hep2 cells,and detect the mRNA and protein expression level of Bcl-2,Bax and Caspase-3 with reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) andWestern blot.RESULTS:Both fermented ESF and non-fermented ESF could inhibit laryngeal neoplasm's Hep2 cells,but and the cells did not response to the dilution 1:320 of fermented ESF,nor to the 1:1280 dilution of non-fermented ESF.As time progressed,the dilution 1:80 of fermented ESF and 1:320 dilution of non-fermented ESF could significantly reduce Bcl-2 mRNA and protein expression and down-regulate Caspase-3 mRNA and protein expression.Bax mRNA and protein were not expressed in Hep2 cells.CONCLUSIONS:Both fermented ESF and non-fermented ESF could inhibit the proliferation of Hep2 cells,and the effect of non-fermented ESF was significantly better than that of the fermented.Yingzi Wang Chunchao Han Xinsheng Fang Xinyuan Shi Ailing Feng Kuibang He Shenghai Zhang Xiuyu Sun 2013Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2013,33,2:1
9The driving force of water resource stress change based on the STIRPAT model:take Zhangye City as a case study显示文摘A prominent contradiction between supply and demand of water resources has restricted local development in social and economic aspects of Zhangye City,located in a typical arid region of China.Our study quantified the Water Resource Stress Index(WRSI)from 2003 to 2017 and examined the factors of population,urbanization level,GDP per capita,Engel coefficient,and water consumption per unit of GDP by using the extended stochastic impact by regression on population,affluence and technology(STIRPAT)model to find the key factors that impact WRSI of Zhangye City to relieve the pressure on water resources.The ridge regression method is applied to improve this model to eliminate multicollinearity problems.The WRSI system was developed from the following three aspects:water resources utilization(WR),regional economic development water use(WU),and water environment stress(WE).Results show that the WRSI index has fallen from 0.81(2003)to 0.17(2017),with an average annual decreased rate of 9.8%.Moreover,the absolute values of normalized coefficients demonstrate that the Engel coefficient has the largest positive contribution to increase WRSI with an elastic coefficient of 0.2709,followed by water consumption per unit of GDP and population with elastic coefficients of 0.0971 and 0.0387,respectively.In contrast,the urbanization level and GDP per capita can decrease WRSI by−0.2449 and−0.089,respectively.The decline of WRSI was attributed to water-saving society construction which included the improvement of water saving technology and the adjustment of agricultural planting structures.Furthermore,this study demonstrated the feasibility of evaluating the driving forces affecting WRSI by using the STIRPAT model and ridge regression analysis.Xia Tang XinYuan Wang Lei Feng 2021Research in Cold and Arid Regions2021,13,4:1

11Microwave absorption and thermal properties of coral-like SiC aerogel composites prepared by water glass as a silicon source显示文摘As a heat-resistant wave-absorbing material,silicon carbide(SiC)aerogel has become a research hotspot at present.However,the most common silicon sources are organosilanes,which are costly and toxic.In this work,SiC aerogels were successfully prepared by using water glass as the silicon source.Specifically,the microstructure and chemical composition of SiC aerogels were controlled by adjusting the Si to C molar ratio during the sol–gel process,and the effect on SiC aerogel microwave absorption properties was investigated.The SiC aerogels prepared with Si:C molar ratio of 1:1 have an effective electromagnetic wave absorption capacity,with a minimum reflection loss value of-46.30 dB at 12.88 GHz and an effective frequency bandwidth of 4.02 GHz.They also have good physical properties,such as the density of0.0444 g/cm^(3),the thermal conductivity of 0.0621 W/(m·K),and the specific surface area of 1099 m^(2)/g.These lightweight composites with microwave-absorbing properties and low thermal conductivity can be used as thermal protection materials for space shuttles and reusable carriers.Xinyuan Zhang Chenkang Xia Weihai Liu Mingyuan Hao Yang Miao Feng Gao 2023International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2023,30,7:0

14Discovery of a potent and highly selective inhibitor of SIRT6 against pancreatic cancer metastasis in vivo显示文摘Pancreatic cancer,one of the most aggressive malignancies,has no effective treatment due to the lack of targets and drugs related to tumour metastasis.SIRT6 can promote the migration of pancreatic cancer and could be a potential target for antimetastasis of pancreatic cancer.However,highly selective and potency SIRT6 inhibitor that can be used in vivo is yet to be discovered.Here,we developed a noveSIRT6 allosteric inhibitor,compound 11e,with maximal inhibitory potency and an IC_(50) value of 0.98±0.13μmol/L.Moreover,compound 11e exhibited significant selectivity against other histone deacetylases(HADC1-11 and SIRT1-3)at concentrations up to 100μmol/L.The allosteric site and the molecular mechanism of inhibition were extensively elucidated by cocrystal complex structure and dynamic structural analyses.Importantly,we confirmed the antimetastatic function of such inhibitors in four pancreatic cancer cell lines as well as in two mouse models of pancreatic cancer liver metastasis.To our knowledge,this is the first study to reveal the in vivo effects of SIRT6 inhibitors on liver metastatic pancreatic cancer.It not only provides a promising lead compound for subsequent inhibitor developmentargeting SIRT6 but also provides a potential approach to address the challenge of metastasis in pancreatic cancer.Xinyuan Xu Qian Zhang Xufeng Wang Jing Jin Chengwei Wu Li Feng Xiuyan Yang Mingzhu Zhao Yingyi Chen Shaoyong Lu Zhen Zheng Xiaobing Lan Yi Wang Yan Zheng Xuefeng Lu Qiufen Zhang Jian Zhang 2024Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2024,14,3:0
15Increased Oxygen Evolution Activity in pH-Universal Electrocatalyst: Urea-Modified NiFeCoCN Medium-Entropy Alloy显示文摘The kinetic process of a slow oxygen evolution reaction (OER) always constrains the efficiency of overall water electrolysis for H2 production.In particular,nonprecious metal electrodes for the OER have difficulty in possessing excellent electrocatalytic activity and stability in pH-universal media simultaneously.In this work,urea is first used as a pore-forming agent and active C/N source to fabricate a nanoporous NiFeCoCN medium-entropy alloy (MEA) by high-temperature sintering based on the nanoscale Kirkendall effect.The NiFeCoCN MEA achieves an overpotential of 432 mV at a current density of 10 mA·cm^(-2) and a lower Tafel slope of 52.4 mV·dec^(-1) compared to the IrO_(2)/Ti electrode (58.6 mV·dec^(-1)) in a 0.5 mol/L H_(2)SO_(4) solution.In a 1 mol/L KOH solution,the NiFeCoCN MEA obtains an overpotential of 175 mV for 10 mA·cm^(-2) and a Tafel slope of 40.8 mV·dec^(-1),which is better than IrO_(2)/Ni foam.This work proves a novel strategy to design and prepare nanoporous MEA materials with desirable C/N species,which provides promising prospects for the industrial production of H2 energy.Hongwei Lv Zhiguo Ye Feng Pei Xinyuan Peng Juntong Huang Duosheng Li Zhong Jin 2023Chinese Journal of Chemistry2023,41,23:0

17A standardized method to create peripheral nerve injury in dogs using an automatic non-serrated forceps显示文摘This study describes a method that not only generates an automatic and standardized crush injury in the skull base, but also provides investigators with the option to choose from a range of varying pressure levels. We designed an automatic, non-serrated forceps that exerts a varying force of 0 to 100 g and lasts for a defined period of 0 to 60 seconds. This device was then used to generate a crush injury to the right oculomotor nerve of dogs with a force of 10 g for 15 seconds, resulting in a deficit in the pupil-light reflex and ptosis. Further testing of our model with Toluidine-blue staining demonstrated that, at 2 weeks post-surgery disordered oculomotor nerve fibers, axonal loss, and a thinner than normal myelin sheath were visible. Electrophysiological examination showed occasional spontaneous potentials. 18Intelligent model prediction of fluctuant increase of maximum electric field in XLPE insulation using long short-term memory network algorithm显示文摘The electric field distortion due to space charge accumulations plays a significant role in the ageing,degradation and breakdown in failure of HVDC power cables.Currently,limited experimental results of the electric field dominated by space charges are insufficient to diagnose the power cables.This paper proposes an improved long short-term memory network(LSTM)model for predicting the fluctuating maximum electric field(Emax)in cross-linked polyethylene(XLPE)cable insulation.The various Emax data derived from the complex space charge behaviours were measured using the pulsed electroacoustic method.The model uses regularisation and dropout feedback in the LSTM unit,reducing the phenomenon of over-fitting due to the limited data.It enhances the prediction accuracy and ability of long time prediction by improving the prediction of Emax with the non-linear fluctuation.The predicted Emax approaches 190 kV/mm under 150 kV/mm and 60°C after 2 h.The predicted large variation in Emax under 120 kV/mm and 20°C after 4 h ranges from 130 to 160 kV/mm.It indicates high electric stress in the cable insulation during continuous operation.The proposed LSTM model is of great importance to guide the diagnosis of cable degradation in HVDC power cables.Weiwang Wang Jiaju Lv Yong Feng Xinyuan Li Shengtao Li 2023High Voltage2023,8,1:0
