| 1 | Activated and deactivated functional brain areas in the Deqi state: A functional MRI study显示文摘We compared the activities of functional regions of the brain in the Deqi versus non-Deqi state, as reported by physicians and subjects during acupuncture. Twelve healthy volunteers received sham and true needling at the Waiguan (TE5) acupoint. Real-time cerebral functional MRI showed that compared with non-sensation after sham needling, true needling activated Brodmann areas 3, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 20, 21, 37, 39, 40, 43, and 47, the head of the caudate nucleus, the parahippocampal gyrus, thalamus and red nucleus. | 3 | Needling at the Waiguan (SJ5) in healthy limbs deactivated functional brain areas in ischemic stroke patients A functional magnetic resonance imaging study显示文摘Deactivation is common in cerebral functional imaging. However, the physiological mechanisms responsible for this phenomenon remain poorly understood. The present study analyzed 12 ischemic stroke patients, who were randomly assigned to two groups: one group underwent sham needling and true needling at the Waiguan (SJ 5) in the healthy upper limb and the other group underwent sham and true needling at a sham point. Functional magnetic resonance imaging results showed no activation points in brain tissues following needling at SJ 5. However, compared with sham needling at SJ 5, true needling at SJ 5 deactivated Broadmann 4, 6, 24, and 32 areas. In addition, compared to needling at the sham point, true needling at SJ 5 deactivated bilateral hypothalamus. | 10 | Generating Semi-Algebraic Invariants for Non-Autonomous Polynomial Hybrid Systems显示文摘Hybrid systems are dynamical systems with interacting discrete computation and continuous physical processes, which have become more common, more indispensable, and more complicated in our modern life. Particularly, many of them are safety-critical, and therefore are required to meet a critical safety standard. Invariant generation plays a central role in the verification and synthesis of hybrid systems. In the previous work, the fourth author and his coauthors gave a necessary and sufficient condition for a semi-algebraic set being an invariant of a polynomial autonomous dynamical system, which gave a confirmative answer to the open problem. In addition, based on which a complete algorithm for generating all semi-algebraic invariants of a given polynomial autonomous hybrid system with the given shape was proposed. This paper considers how to extend their work to non-autonomous dynamical and hybrid systems. Non-autonomous dynamical and hybrid systems are with inputs, which are very common in practice; in contrast, autonomous ones are without inputs. Furthermore, the authors present a sound and complete algorithm to verify semi-algebraic invariants for non-autonomous polynomial hybrid systems. | 13 | Integrating of lipophilic platinum(IV) prodrug into liposomes for cancer therapy on patient-derived xenograft model显示文摘Platinum-based anticancer agents such as cisplatin and its analogues are widely used for treating multiple cancers. However, due to the inferior water-solubility, chemoresistance and consequent adverse side effects, their clinical applications are limited. Herein, choles Pt(IV), a lipophilic platinum(IV) prodrug was synthesized for manufacture of Choles Pt(IV)-Liposomes aiming to resolve the predefined obstacles encountered by platinum drugs. Following systematic screening, Choles Pt(IV)-Liposomes showed a small particle size(105.6 nm), the rapid release of platinum(Pt) ions, and notable apoptosis of cancer cells.In addition, according to the fluidity and safety results of animal experiments in mice, Choles Pt(IV)-Liposomes also showed better therapeutic effect, which significantly inhibited the growth of patientderived xenograft tumors of hepatocellular carcinoma with an inhibition ratio of 80.7%, and effectively alleviated the drug toxicity brought by traditional platinum drugs. | 16 | Effect of Calcium on the Vanadium Extraction from High Calcium Type Stone Coal显示文摘The high calcium type stone coal from Hubei province was leached by water and dilute acid separately after being roasted with different dosage of Na Cl. The water leaching rate of vanadium(WLRV) was low and only 26.8% of vanadium can be leached by water when 4% Na Cl was added, but the acid leaching rate of vanadium(ALRV) was relatively high. Calcium in the high calcium type stone coal is greatly superfl uous relative to vanadium, hence, the calcium reacts with vanadium to form Ca(VO3)2, Ca2V2O7 and Ca3(VO4)2orderly during the stone coal roasting process and high temperature is beneficial to the reactions between calcium and vanadium, which was validated by simulated reactions between pure calcium carbonate and vanadium pentoxide. These calcium vanadates are all water insoluble but acid soluble and this causes the low WLRV and relatively high ALRV. After calcium removal by HCl, the WLRV is highly enhanced and reaches about 50% when only 2% Na Cl was added. If the HCl content is too high, the stone coal is easily sintered and the formed glass structure can enwrap vanadium, which leads the WLRV to decline. But the traditional forecasting methods at present have some Jimitations. Artificial neural network(ANN) is a new and developing subject, whose capability of adaptability and self-study is excellent. Based on the analysis as above, the forecasting model with artificial neural network was established. This model is based on the idea of time series. Compared with the traditional algorithm, this model is more friendly and maneuverability, which is not only able to forecast for a short term, but also able to forecast for a long period. | 20 | Indoor environment quality in the university dormitory显示文摘The indoor environment quality(IEQ) in the dormitory of 9 universities has been investigated by the questionnaire for three times. The results indicate that the indoor air quality (IAQ) of the dormitory is very poor and it is far beyond the acceptable standard of the IAQ.
