1The Genome Sequence Archive Family: Toward Explosive Data Growth and Diverse Data Types显示文摘The Genome Sequence Archive(GSA)is a data repository for archiving raw sequence data,which provides data storage and sharing services for worldwide scientific communities.Considering explosive data growth with diverse data types,here we present the GSA family by expanding into a set of resources for raw data archive with different purposes,namely,GSA(http://gffzz77e3413bc06540edso9q0cwcwpq996bfp.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/gsa/),GSA for Human(GSA-Human,http://gffzz77e3413bc06540edso9q0cwcwpq996bfp.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/gsa-human/),and Open Archive for Miscellaneous Data(OMIX,http://gffzz77e3413bc06540edso9q0cwcwpq996bfp.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/omix/).Compared with the 2017 version,GSA has been significantly updated in data model,online functionalities,and web interfaces.GSA-Human,as a new partner of GSA,is a data repository specialized in human genetics-related data with controlled access and security.OMIX,as a critical complement to the two resources mentioned above,is an open archive for miscellaneous data.Together,all these resources form a family of resources dedicated to archiving explosive data with diverse types,accepting data submissions from all over the world,and providing free open access to all publicly available data in support of worldwide research activities.Tingting Chen Xu Chen Sisi Zhang Junwei Zhu Bixia Tang Anke Wang Lili Dong Zhewen Zhang Caixia Yu Yanling Sun Lianjiang Chi Huanxin Chen Shuang Zhai Yubin Sun Li Lan Xin Zhang Jingfa Xiao Yiming Bao Yanqing Wang Zhang Zhang Wenming Zhao 2021Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2021,19,4:38
2GSA:Genome Sequence Archive显示文摘With the rapid development of sequencing technologies towards higher throughput and lower cost, sequence data are generated at an unprecedentedly explosive rate. To provide an efficient and easy-to-use platform for managing huge sequence data, here we present Genome Sequence Archive(GSA; http://gffzzdbc7b6aaae734bddho9q0cwcwpq996bfp.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/gsa or http://gffzz4eaf941a184140e3ho9q0cwcwpq996bfp.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn), a data repository for archiving raw sequence data. In compliance with data standards and structures of the International Nucleotide Sequence Database Collaboration(INSDC), GSA adopts four data objects(Bio Project, Bio Sample,Experiment, and Run) for data organization, accepts raw sequence reads produced by a variety of sequencing platforms, stores both sequence reads and metadata submitted from all over the world,and makes all these data publicly available to worldwide scientific communities. 3Bayesian Empirical Likelihood Estimation of Quantile Structural Equation Models显示文摘Structural equation model(SEM) is a multivariate analysis tool that has been widely applied to many fields such as biomedical and social sciences. In the traditional SEM, it is often assumed that random errors and explanatory latent variables follow the normal distribution, and the effect of explanatory latent variables on outcomes can be formulated by a mean regression-type structural equation. But this SEM may be inappropriate in some cases where random errors or latent variables are highly nonnormal. The authors develop a new SEM, called as quantile SEM(QSEM), by allowing for a quantile regression-type structural equation and without distribution assumption of random errors and latent variables. A Bayesian empirical likelihood(BEL) method is developed to simultaneously estimate parameters and latent variables based on the estimating equation method. A hybrid algorithm combining the Gibbs sampler and Metropolis-Hastings algorithm is presented to sample observations required for statistical inference. Latent variables are imputed by the estimated density function and the linear interpolation method. 4A new species of the genus Crocidura from China based on molecular and morphological data(Eulipotyphla: Soricidae)显示文摘A new species of white-toothed shrew,Crocidura anhuiensis Zhang,Zhang&Li,sp.nov.is described from Mount Huang,China.Genetic sequence(mt DNA Cyt b gene)and morphological(external and skull)data are used to distinguish this newly discovered species.The phylogenetic analysis shows that the materials of this work are monophyletic and allied to C.attenuata by the uncorrected genetic distance 4.9–5.1%,which suggests a species-level divergence.Morphologically,the materials are different from C.attenuata by presenting a greater proportion of tail-to-body ratio and the presence of an obvious tooth root in the mandible.Based on those data,the unnamed species is described as a new species which is currently known only from the Wild Monkey Valley,Mount Huang,Anhui Province,China.Heng Zhang Guiyou Wu Yanqing Wu Jianfei Yao Shuo You Chencheng Wang Feng Cheng Jingjing Chen Mingxia Tang Chunlin Li Baowei Zhang 2019Zoological Systematics2019,44,4:5
5Evaluating Suitability of Multiple Precipitation Products for the Lancang River Basin显示文摘Global reanalysis precipitation products could provide valuable meteorological information for flow forecasting in poorly gauged areas, helping to overcome a long-standing challenge in the field. But not all data sources are suitable for all regions or perform the same way in hydrological modeling, so it is essential to test the suitability of precipitation products before applying them. In this study, five widely used global high-resolution precipitation products—Asian Precipitation Highly Resolved Observational Data Integration Towards Evaluation of Water Resources(APHRODITE), National Centers for Environmental Prediction Climate Forecast System Reanalysis(NCEP-CFSR), Climate Hazards Group InfraRed Precipitation with Station Data(CHIRPS), China Gauge-based Daily Precipitation Analysis developed by China Meteorological Administration(CMA) and Agricultural Model Intercomparison and Improvement Project based on the NASA Modern-Era Retrospective Analysis for Research and Applications(AgMERRA)—were evaluated using statistical methods and a hydrological approach for their suitability for the Lancang River Basin. The results indicated that APHRODITE, CMA, AgMERRA and CHIRPS were more accurate precipitation indicators than NCEP-CFSR in terms of the multiyear average and seasonal spatial distribution pattern, all of the CHIRPS, Ag MERRA and APHRODITE perform better than CMA and NCEP-CFSR at the small, medium and high precipitation intensities ranges in subbasin11 and sunbabsin46. All five products performed better in subbasin46(a low-altitude region) than in subbasin11(a high-altitude region) on the daily and monthly scales. In addition to NCEP-CFSR, the other four products all presented encouraging potential for streamflow simulation at daily(Yunjinghong) and monthly(Yunjinghong, Jiuzhou and Gajiu) scale. Hydrological simulations forced with APHRODITE were the best of the five for the Yunjinghong station in capturing daily and monthly measured streamflow. 6Whole-genome sequencing of monozygotic twins discordant for schizophrenia indicates multiple genetic risk factors for schizophrenia显示文摘Schizophrenia is a common disorder with a high heritability, but its genetic architecture is still elusive.We implemented whole-genome sequencing(WGS) analysis of 8 families with monozygotic(MZ) twin pairs discordant for schizophrenia to assess potential association of de novo mutations(DNMs) or inherited variants with susceptibility to schizophrenia. Eight non-synonymous DNMs(including one splicing site) were identified and shared by twins, which were either located in previously reported schizophrenia risk genes(p.V24689 I mutation in TTN, p.S2506 T mutation in GCN1L1, IVS3+1G > T in DOCK1) or had a benign to damaging effect according to in silico prediction analysis. By searching the inherited rare damaging or loss-of-function(LOF) variants and common susceptible alleles from three classes of schizophrenia candidate genes, we were able to distill genetic alterations in several schizophrenia risk genes, including GAD1, PLXNA2, RELN and FEZ1. Four inherited copy number variations(CNVs; including a large deletion at 16p13.11) implicated for schizophrenia were identified in four families, respectively. Most of families carried both missense DNMs and inherited risk variants, which might suggest that DNMs, inherited rare damaging variants and common risk alleles together conferred to schizophrenia susceptibility. 8A chemically stable nanoporous coordination polymer with fixed and free Cu^(2+)ions for boosted C_(2)H_(2)/CO_(2)separation显示文摘Safely and highly selective acetylene(C_(2)H_(2))capture is a great challenge,because of its highly explosive nature,as well as its nearly similar molecule size and boiling point toward the main impurity of carbon dioxide(CO_(2)).Adsorption separation has shown a promising future.Herein,a new nanoporous coordination polymer(PCP)adsorbent with fixed and free Cu ions(termed NTU-66-Cu)was prepared through post-synthetic approach via cation exchanging from the pristine NTU-66,an anionic framework with new 3,4,6-c topology and two kinds of cages.The NTU-66-Cu shows significantly improved C_(2)H_(2)/CO_(2)selectivity from 6 to 32(v/v:1/1)or 4 to 4_(2)(v/v:1/4)at low pressure under 298 K,along with enhanced C_(2)H_(2)capacity(from 89.22to 111.53 cm^(3)·g^(-1)).More importantly,this observation was further validated by density functional theory(DFT)calculations and breakthrough experiments under continuous and dynamic conditions.Further,the excellent chemical stability enables this adsorbent to achieve recycle C_(2)H_(2)/CO_(2)separation without loss of C_(2)H_(2)capacity.Si Chen Nibedita Behera Chao Yang Qiubing Dong Baishu Zheng Yingying Li Qi Tang Zhaoxu Wang Yanqing Wang Jingui Duan 2021Nano Research2021,14,2:3
9Recent advances in flexible and wearable organic optoelectronic devices显示文摘Flexible and wearable optoelectronic devices have been developing to a new stage due to their unique capacity for the possibility of a variety of wearable intelligent electronics, including bendable smartphones, foldable touch screens and antennas, paper-like displays, and curved and flexible solid-state lighting devices. Before extensive commercial applications, some issues still have to be solved for flexible and wearable optoelectronic devices. In this regard, this review concludes the newly emerging flexible substrate materials, transparent conductive electrodes, device architectures and light manipulation methods. Examples of these components applied for various kinds of devices are also summarized. 13Characterization of Water Constituents Spectra Absorption in Chagan Lake of Jilin Province, Northeast China显示文摘Research on the optical characteristics of water color constituents in Chagan Lake of Jilin Province,Northeast China was carried out in order to investigate the variability of the spectra absorption parameters as inputs to bio-optical models and remote sensing algorithms for converting observed spectral signals into water quality information.Samples of total particulates,non-algal particles and colored dissolved organic matter (CDOM) were first prepared by quantitative filter technique (QFT) and then absorption coefficients of these color producing agents were determined by spectrophotometry.Spectral characteristics of absorption coefficients by total particulate matter,spectral specific absorption dependency on chlorophyll concentration (Chl-a) of phytoplankton,spectral absorption slopes variation for CDOM and non-algal particles and their corresponding reasons were examined and clarified over five months of 2009 and 2010 in this study.Results suggest that total particulate spectral absorption in Chagan Lake is mainly dominated by non-algal particles in most cases,but phytoplankton could be the dominant contributor when chlorophyll concentration is high (up to 84.48 mg/m3 in autumn 2010).The specific absorption coefficients of phytoplankton particulate (a*ph(λ)) dependency on Chl-a is significantly variable due to relative contributions of package effect and accessory pigments,and the parameters of power function are clearly biased on a long time span.The sources of variability in spectral absorption slopes of CDOM and non-algal particles are mainly attributed to the changing proportions of high molecular weight humic acids and mineral suspended sediments in waters,respectively.WANG Yuandong LIU Dianwei SONG Kaishan DU Jia WANG Zongming ZHANG Bai TANG Xuguang LEI Xiaochun WU Yanqing 2011Chinese Geographical Science2011,21,3:1
