Unconstrained Facial Beauty Prediction Based on Multi-scale K-Means显示文摘Facial beauty prediction belongs to an emerging field of human perception nature and rule.Compared with other facial analysis tasks, this task has shown its challenges in pattern recognition and biometric recognition. The algorithm of presented facial beauty prediction requires burden landmark or expensive optimization procedure. We establish a larger database and present a novel method for predicting facial beauty, which is notably superior to previous work in the following aspects:1)A largescale database with more reasonable distribution has been established and utilized in our experiments;2)Both female and male facial beauties are analyzed under unconstrained conditions without landmark;3)Multi-scale apparent features are learned to represent facial beauty which are more expressive and require less computation expenditure.Experimental results demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency of the presented method.GAN Junying ZHAI Yikui WANG Bin 2017Chinese Journal of Electronics2017,26,3:11
Prediction of the Maturity of Greenhouse Grapes Based on Imaging Technology显示文摘To predict grape maturity in solar greenhouses,a plant phenotype-monitoring platform(Phenofix,France)was used to obtain RGB images of grapes from expansion to maturity.Horizontal and longitudinal diameters, compactness, soluble solid content(SSC),titratable acid content, and the SSC/acid of grapes were measured and evaluated. The color values(R,G,B,H,S,andI)of the grape skin were determined and subjected to a back-propagation neural network algorithm(BPNN)to predict grape maturity.Xinguang Wei Linlin Wu Dong Ge Mingze Yao Yikui Bai 2022Plant Phenomics2022,4,1:3
Mapping and validation of the epistatic D and P genes controlling anthocyanin biosynthesis in the peel of eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) fruit显示文摘Fruit color is an important trait inf luencing the commercial value of eggplant fruits.Three dominant genes(D,P and Y)cooperatively control the anthocyanin coloration in eggplant fruits, but none has been mapped. In this study, two white-fruit accessions(19141 and 19147)and their F2 progeny, with 9:7 segregation ratio of anthocyanin pigmented versus non-pigmented fruits, were used for mapping the D and P genes.A high-density genetic map was constructed with 5270 SNPs spanning 1997.98 cM.Three QTLs were identified, including two genes on chromosome 8 and one on chromosome 10.Gene expression analyses suggested that the SmANS on chromosome 8 and SmMYB1 on chromosome 10 were the putative candidate genes for P and D,respectively. We further identified(1)a SNP leading to a premature stop codon within the conserved PLN03176 domain of SmANS in 19141,(2)a G base InDel in the promoter region leading to an additional cis-regulatory element and(3)a 6-bp InDel within the R2-MYB DNA binding domain of SmMYB1,in 19147.Subsequently,these three variations were validated by PARMS technology as related to phenotypes in the F2 population. Moreover, silencing of SmANS or SmMYB1 in the purple red fruits of F1(E3316)led to inhibition of anthocyanin biosynthesis in the peels.Conversely, overexpression of SmANS or SmMYB1 restored anthocyanin biosynthesis in the calli of 19141 and 19147 respectively. Our findings demonstrated the epistatic interactions underlying the white color of eggplant fruits, which can be potentially applied to breeding of eggplant fruit peel color.Qian You Huimin Li Jun Wu Tao Li Yikui Wang Guangwen Sun Zhiliang Li Baojuan Sun 2023Horticulture Research2023,10,2:2

A Two-stage Peer-to-peer Energy Trading Model for Distribution Systems with Participation of Utility显示文摘With the growing penetration of distributed energy resources(DER)in distribution systems, the traditional utility dominated tariff-based business model may no longer meet the need for further development. As a result, the transformation from the traditional tariff-based business model to the emerging peer-to-peer energy trading model has been acknowledged by researchers and policy makers. In this paper,a two-stage peer-to-peer energy trading model is proposed while considering the role of the utility.Specifically, energy transactions between buyers and sellers are optimized in the first stage;the cleared transactions are submitted to the utility for approval in the second stage, which solves a transaction approval model to verify the transactions from the perspective of secure system operations.Indeed, certain transactions mav be disapproved to ensure that all network constraints, such as voltage and line flow limitations, are satisfied. In addition,a comprehensive trading tariff is designed to recover the hidden costs of the utility, such as those associated with network usage, system losses, and ancillary service provision.A modified 33-bus distribution system is adopted to verify the proposed model.Yikui Liu Lei Wu Jie Li 2021CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2021,7,5:1

Optimal SOC Headroom of Pump StorageHydropower for Maximizing Joint Revenuefrom Day-ahead and Real-time Markets UnderRegional Transmission Organization Dispatch显示文摘In response to the increasing penetration of volatile and uncertain renewable energy, the regional transmission organizations(RTOs)have been recently focusing on enhancing the models of pump storage hydropower(PSH)plants, which are one of the key flexibility assets in the day-ahead(DA)and real-time(RT)markets,to further boost their flexibility provision potentials.Inspired by the recent research works that explored the potential benefits of excluding PSHs’cost-related terms from the objective functions of the DA market clearing model, this paper completes a rolling RT market scheme that is compatible with the DA market. Then, with the vision that PSHs could be permitted to submit state-of-charge(SOC)headrooms in the DA market and to release them in the RT market, this paper uncovers that PSHs could increase the total revenues from the two markets by optimizing their SOC headrooms, assisted by the proposed tri-level optimal SOC headroom model.Specifically,in the proposed tri-level model, the middle and lower levels respectively mimic the DA and RT scheduling processes of PSHs,and the upper level determines the optimal headrooms to be submitted to the RTO for maximizing the total revenue from the two markets.Numerical case studies quantify the profitability of the optimal SOC headroom submissions as well as the associated financial risks.Yikui Liu Bing Huang Yang Lin Yonghong Chen Lei Wu 2024Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2024,12,1:0
Photofragment translational spectroscopy at 304 nm from C-H symmetric stretch excited CH_3I [v_1 = 1]显示文摘The 304 nm photodissociation of the C-H symmetric stretch excited CH3I[v1=1,v2=0](v1 denotes the C-H symmetric stretch mode, and v2 denotes the umbrella mode)is studied with our simple photofragment translational spectrometer. An IR laser is used to excite the ground state CH3I[0,0]to the C-H symmetric stretch excited CH3I[1,0].With IR laser OFF and ON,the fractions of photofragments CH3(ν1,ν2)from the 304 nm photodissociation of CH3I[1,0]have been determined through the photofragment translational spectra(PTS)from measuring I and I*and also through the PTS from measuring CH3(0,0)(1,0)(0,1)and(1,1).The experimental results show that the C-H symmetric stretch vibration(v1=1)in parent molecules is about 66%retained in the photofragments in the I channel, but only 24%in the I*channel. The populations of photofragments CH3(0,2)and(0,3)are higher than CH3(0,0)and(0,1),showing strong inverted population both in I and I*channels.ZHOU ZhiMin HU LiLi DONG ChangWu ZHANG LiJuan LIU Sheng DU YiKui CHENG Min ZHU QiHe 2014Science China Chemistry2014,57,6:0
RIN enhances plant disease resistance via root exudate-mediated assembly of diseasesuppressive rhizosphere microbiota显示文摘The RIPENING-INHIBITOR(RIN)transcriptional factor is a key regulator governing fruit ripening. While RIN also affects other physiological processes, its potential roles in triggering interactions with the rhizosphere microbiome and plant health are unknown. Here we show that RIN affects microbiome-mediated disease resistance via root exudation, leading to recruitment of microbiota that suppress the soil-borne,phytopathogenic Ralstonia solanacearum bacterium.Compared with the wild-type(WT)plant,RIN mutants had different root exudate profiles, which were associated with distinct changes in microbiome composition and diversity.Specifically, the relative abundances of antibiosis-associated genes and pathogensuppressing Actinobacteria(Streptomyces)were clearly lower in the rhizosphere of rin mutants. The composition, diversity, and suppressiveness of rin plant microbiomes could be restored by the application of 3-hydroxyflavone and riboflavin, which were exuded in much lower concentrations by the rin mutant.Interestingly,RIN-mediated effects on root exudates,Actinobacteria, and disease suppression were evident from the seedling stage, indicating that RIN plays a dual role in the early assembly of diseasesuppressive microbiota and late fruit development.Collectively, our work suggests that, while plant disease resistance is a complex trait driven by interactions between the plant, rhizosphere microbiome, and the pathogen,it can be indirectly manipulated using'prebiotic'compounds that promote the recruitment of disease-suppressive microbiota.Keming Yang Ruixin Fu Haichao Feng Gaofei Jiang Omri Finkel Tianyu Sun Mingchun Liu Baowen Huang Shan Li Xiaofang Wang Tianjie Yang Yikui Wang Shimei Wang Yangchun Xu Qirong Shen Ville-Petri Friman Alexandre Jousset Zhong Wei 2023Molecular Plant2023,16,9:0
Photofragment translational spectroscopy of ICl near 304 and 280 nm: Observation of an intense hot band effect显示文摘The photodissociation dynamics of ICl has been studied near 304 and 280 nm on a simple miniature time of flight (mini-TOF) photofragment translational spectrometer with a short pulse of a weak acceleration field. An intense hot band effect was observed. Many small peaks were resolved in each photofragment translational spectrum (PTS). Based on simulations, the principal peaks were assigned not only to the different photodissociation channels (1) I + Cl, (2) I + Cl*, (3) I* + Cl, or (4) I* + Cl*, but also to the different chlorine isotopes (35Cl and Cl). Moreover, some extra peaks showed the existence of an intense hot 37 band effect from vibrationally excited ICl molecules, though only a few percent of ICl molecules remained in the vibrationally excited states in our supersonic molecular beam. Based on the spectra near 304 nm, the quantum yield Ф of each channel, the curve crossing, and the branching fraction σ from each transition state were determined.CHENG Min YU ZiJun XU XiLing YU Dan DU YiKui ZHU QiHe 2012Science China Chemistry2012,55,6:0
Graph Theory Based N-1 Transmission Contingency Selection and Its Application in Security-constrained Unit Commitment显示文摘Contingency analysis is an important building block in the stability and reliability analysis of power grid operations. However, due to the large number of transmission lines,in practice only a limited number of contingencies could be evaluated. This paper proposes a graph theory based N-1 contingency selection method to effectively identify the most critical contingencies, which can be used in security-constrained unit commitment(SCUC) problems to derive secure and economic operation decisions of the power grid. Specifically, the power flow transferring path identification algorithm and the vulnerability index are put forward to rank individual contingencies according to potential transmission line overloads. Effectiveness of the proposed N-1 contingency selection method is quantified by applying the corresponding SCUC solution to the full N-1 security evaluation, i. e., quantifying total post-contingency generation-load imbalance in all N-1 contingencies. Numerical results on several benchmark IEEE systems, including5-bus, 24-bus, and 118-bus systems, show effectiveness of the proposed method. Compared with existing contingency selection methods which usually resort to full power flow calculations, the proposed method relies on power gird topology to effectively identify critical contingencies for facilitating the optimal scheduling of SCUC problems.Lu Nan Yikui Liu Lei Wu Tianqi Liu Chuan He 2021Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2021,9,6:0
Recent advances in magnetic targeting based on high magnetic field and magnetic particles显示文摘In the past few decades, the multifunctional magnetic drug carrier based on the magnetic nanoparticles and high magnetic field has been intensively researched. The magnetic drug carrier can be targeted to the tumour area not only by the chemical protocol but also by the physical one(external field). In this review, the authors first briefly discuss the fabrication process of magnetic drug carriers, which includes the synthesis of magnetic nanoparticles, fabrication of magnetic drug carriers and conjugation of anti-tumour agents. Then different targeted protocols have been summarised, including passive targeting, biochemical active targeting and biophysical active targeting namely magnetic targeting(MT).Multiple MT results both in vitro and in vivo are introduced,in which two unconventional cases are emphasised and described. The first MT clinical research with 14 peoples was performed in the last century.A 0.5–0.8 T permanent magnet was attached to the tumour area when magnetic particles conjugated with epirubicin were injected. The side effect of epirubicin had been decreased, and the four patients showed the decreasing of a tumour which proved the feasibility of MT.Different from other targeting protocols,MT needs an extra external magnetic field. So various types of MT instruments have been shown in the final part of this review, including a single strong magnetic field, homemade electronic solenoid coil assay and commercial magnetic resonance imaging.Zili Zhang Ping He Jinyan Zhang Yikui Li Qiuliang Wang 2017High Voltage2017,2,4:0
Effects of Solanum lycopersicum Rootstock Grafting on Tomato Resistance and Quality显示文摘[Objectives] This experiment was carried out to explore the effects of Solanum lycopersicum rootstock grafting on tomato resistance and quality. [Methods]6 different S. lycopersicum rootstocks were used to graft ‘Guihong 2' tomato. The grafting affinity was better and the resistance to bacterial wilt was higher.[Results]S. lycopersicum rootstock grafting may reduce the tomato, but it can improve the taste and endogenous quality of tomato. Besides, soluble solids, soluble sugars,Vc content, and sugar-acid ratio were all significantly higher than that of the control group. [Conclusions] S. lycopersicum rootstock y11,53,and 177 grafting can increase Vc,soluble solids, and sugar-acid ratio of tomato fruit,so they are optimal rootstocks for tomato grafting.Guiyun GAN Kouhua YU Yaqin JIANG Yongcheng MO Wenjia LI Yongguan WU Yan LI Dexian KANG Yikui WANG 2018Agricultural Biotechnology2018,7,5:0
