12018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). 3The Reference Genome Sequence of Scutellaria baicalensis Provides Insights into the Evolution of Wogonin Biosynthesis显示文摘Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi is important in Chinese traditional medicine where preparations of dried roots,'Huang Qin,' are used for liver and lung complaints and as complementary cancer treatments. We report a high-quality reference genome sequence for S. baicalensis where 93% of the 408.14-Mb genome has been assembled into nine pseudochromosomes with a super-N50 of 33.2 Mb. Comparison of this sequence with those of closely related species in the order Lamiales, sesamum indicum and Salvia splendens,revealed that a specialized metabolic pathway for the synthesis of 4'-deoxyflavone bioactives evolved in the genus Scu-tellaria. We found that the gene encoding a specific cinnamate coenzyme A ligase likely obtained its newfunc- tion following recent mutations, and that four genes encoding enzymes in the 4'-deoxyflavone pathway are present as tandem repeats in the genome of S. baicalensis. Further analyses revealed that gene duplications, segmental duplication, gene amplification, and point mutations coupled to gene neo- and subfunctionaliza-tions were involved in the evolution of 4'-deoxyflavone synthesis in the genus Scutellaria. Our study not only provides significant insight into the evolution of specific flavone biosynthetic pathways in the mint family, Lamiaceae, but also will facilitate the development of tools for enhancing bioactive productivity by metabolic engineering in microbes or by molecular breeding in plants. 4Tiller Bud Formation Regulators MOC1 and MOC3 Cooperatively Promote Tiller Bud Outgrowth by Activating F0N1 Expression in Rice显示文摘Tillering in rice is one of the most important agronomic traits.Rice tiller development can be divided into two main processes: the formation of the axillary bud and its subsequent outgrowth.Several genes critical for bud formation in rice have been identified by genetic studies;however,their molecular functions and relationships are still largely unknown.Here,we report that MONOCULM 1 (MOC1) and MONOCULM 3/ TILLERS ABSENT 1/STERILE AND REDUCED TILLERING 1 (MOC3/TAB1/SRT1),two vital regulators for tiller formation in rice,physically interact to regulate tiller bud outgrowth through upregulating the expression of FLORAL ORGAN NUMBER 1 (FON1),the homolog of CLAVATA1 in rice.We found that M0C3 is able to directly bind the promoter ofFONI and subsequently activate FON1 expression.MOC1 functions as a coactivator of MOC3,whereas it could not directly bind the FON1 promoter,and further activated FON1 expression in the presence of MOC3.Accordingly,FON1 is highly expressed at axillary meristems and shows remarkably decreased expression levels in mod and moc3 mutants.Loss-of-function mutants of FON1 exhibit normal bud formation but defective bud outgrowth and reduced tiller number.Collectively,these results shed light on a joint transcriptional regulatory mechanim by MOC1 and MOC3,and establish a new framework for the control of tiller bud formation and outgrowth.Gaoneng Shao Zefu Lu Jinsong Xiong Bing Wang Yanhui Jing Xiangbing Meng Guifu Liu Haiyan Ma Yan Liang Fan Chen Yonghong Wang Jiayang Li Hong Yu 2019Molecular Plant2019,12,8:15
5Admission clinical characteristics and early clinical outcomes among acute ischemic stroke patients显示文摘The purpose of the present study was to investigate the association between admission clinical characteristics and outcomes at discharge among acute ischemic stroke patients in the Chinese population.A total of 2,673 patients with acute ischemic stroke were included in the present study.The clinical characteristics at admission and other study variables were collected for all patients.The study outcome was defined as neurological deficiency(National Institute of Health Stroke Scale score ≥ 10) at discharge or in-hospital death.Compared with the subjects without neurological deficiency at discharge or in-hospital death,the subjects with neurological deficiency at discharge or in-hospital death had a significantly higher prevalence of hyperglycemia or history of atrial fibrillation at admission.Age≥ 80 years,hyperglycemia,hypertension,and history of atrial fibrillation were significantly associated with neurological deficiency at discharge or in-hospital death after adjustment for other variables.It is concluded that old age(≥ 80 years),hyperglycemia,hypertension and history of atrial fibrillation are significantly associated with neurological deficiency at discharge or in-hospital death among patients with acute ischemic stroke.Xin Gao Jintao Zhang Ying Peng Huanqing Fan Mei Chen Tan Xu Yonghong Zhang 2012The Journal of Biomedical Research2012,26,3:13

8Optimal Design for an End Face Engagement Worm Gear with Multiple Worm-wheel Meshing显示文摘To solve the problem for lacking a special mechanical transmission that could provide multiple outputs with high transmission efficiency and good lubrication in the modern industrial, a novel worm gear, named end face engagement worm gear, with multiple worm-wheel meshing is proposed for the first time. The essential parameters for the worm gear are optimized to enhance lubrication and meshing properties. Moreover, analysis of variance(ANOVA) is applied to determine the optimum levels and to determine the influence of parameters. The ANOVA results show that the novel end face engagement worm gear with multiple worm wheels provides high lubrication(the lubrication angle is more than 89°) and meshing performance(the induce normal curvature is less than 0.0002 mm^(-1)). The interaction between center distance and roller slant distance most strongly influences the lubrication angle(contributed 51.6%), followed by the parameters of center distance(contributed 25.0%), roller slant distance(contributed 16.4%), tooth angle of gear, gear ratio, and roller radius. In addition, roller radius most strongly influences the induced normal curvature(contributed 39.4%), followed by roller slant distance(contributed 15.2%), tooth angle of the gear(contributed 9.0%), center distance, and gear ratio. 11Effectiveness of ZiYin Xiehuo granules and Zishen Qinggan granules on partial precocious puberty in girls: a multicenter, randomized, single-blind, controlled trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effect of ZiYin Xiehuo granules(ZYXH) and Zishen Qinggan granules(ZSQG) on partial precocious puberty(PPP).METHODS: This was a multicenter, randomized, single-blind, positive-controlled trial. A total of 143 pa-tients were assigned to either the ZYXH group or the ZSQG group using a random number table. The ZYXH group received ZYXH three times daily for 6 months and the ZSQG group received ZSQG three times daily for 6 months. Mammary nucleus diameter; the results of uterus, ovarian, and maximum follicle measures; and Chinese medicine symptom pattern scores were compared at baseline and after 3 months and 6 months of treatment.RESULTS: After 3 months' treatment, there were no significant differences between the two groups in mammary nucleus index changes(left 3.4 ± 3.1 vs3.5 ± 3.1, P = 0.790; right 3.0 ± 2.9 vs 3.6 ± 3.0, P =0.719). The uterine volume in the ZYXH group was smaller than that in the ZSQG group(2.1 ± 1.6 vs2.6 ± 2.2, P = 0.006). There were no significant between-group differences in ovarian volume and maximum follicular diameter on either side(ovarian volume: left 1.2 ± 0.7 vs 1.3 ± 0.6, P = 0.8; right1.2 ± 0.7 vs 1.4 ± 1.1, P = 0.984; maximum follicular diameter: left 3.9 ± 1.7 vs 3.5 ± 2.2, P = 0.158; right3.5 ± 1.7 vs 3.9 ± 2.1, P = 0.314).CONCLUSION: ZYXH granules and ZSQG granules both affected the size of the mammary nucleus in girls with PPP, and improved Chinese medicine symptom patterns. 13Substantial transition to clean household energy mix in rural China显示文摘The household energy mix has significant impacts on human health and climate,as it contributes greatly to many health-and climate-relevant air pollutants.Compared to the well-established urban energy statistical system,the rural household energy statistical system is incomplete and is often associated with high biases.Via a nationwide investigation,this study revealed high contributions to energy supply from coal and biomass fuels in the rural household energy sector,while electricity comprised∼20%.Stacking(the use of multiple sources of energy)is significant,and the average number of energy types was 2.8 per household.Compared to 2012,the consumption of biomass and coals in 2017 decreased by 45%and 12%,respectively,while the gas consumption amount increased by 204%.Increased gas and decreased coal consumptions were mainly in cooking,while decreased biomass was in both cooking(41%)and heating(59%).The time-sharing fraction of electricity and gases(E&G)for daily cooking grew,reaching 69%in 2017,but for space heating,traditional solid fuels were still dominant,with the national average shared fraction of E&G being only 20%.The non-uniform spatial distribution and the non-linear increase in the fraction of E&G indicated challenges to achieving universal access to modern cooking energy by 2030,particularly in less-developed rural and mountainous areas.In some non-typical heating zones,the increased share of E&G for heating was significant and largely driven by income growth,but in typical heating zones,the time-sharing fraction was<5%and was not significantly increased,except in areas with policy intervention.The intervention policy not only led to dramatic increases in the clean energy fraction for heating but also accelerated the clean cooking transition.Higher income,higher education,younger age,less energy/stove stacking and smaller family size positively impacted the clean energy transition.Guofeng Shen Rui Xiong Yanlin Tian Zhihan Luo Bahabaike Jiangtulu Wenjun Meng Wei Du Jing Meng Yuanchen Chen Bing Xue Bin Wang Yonghong Duan Jia Duo Fenggui Fan Lei Huang Tianzhen Ju Fenggui Liu Shunxin Li Xianli Liu Yungui Li Mu Wang Ying Nan Bo Pan Yanfang Pan Lizhi Wang Eddy Zeng Chao Zhan Yilin Chen Huizhong Shen Hefa Cheng Shu Tao 2022National Science Review2022,9,7:4

15Energy Efficiency Optimization for Heterogeneous Cellular Networks Modeled by Matérn Hard-Core Point Process显示文摘The Poisson point process(PPP) has been widely used in wireless network modeling and performance analysis due to the independence between its nodes. Therefore, it may not be a suitable model for many of the exclusive networks between the nodes. This paper analyzes the energy efficiency(EE) and optimizes the two-tier heterogeneous cellular networks(Het Nets). Considering the mutual exclusion between macro base stations(MBSs) distribution, the deployment of MBSs is modeled by the Matérn hard-core point process(MHCPP), and the deployment of pico base stations(PBSs) is modeled by the PPP. We adopt a simple approximation method to study the signal to interference ratio(SIR) distribution in two-tier MHCPP-PPP networks and then derive the coverage probabilities, the average data rates and the energy efficiency of Het Nets. Finally, an optimization algorithm is proposed to improve the EE of Het Nets by controlling the transmit power of PBSs. The simulation results show that the EE of a system can be effectively improved by selecting the appropriate transmit power for the PBSs. 16COVID-19 epidemic prediction and the impact of public health interventions: A review of COVID-19 epidemic models显示文摘The coronavirus disease outbreak of 2019(COVID-19)has been spreading rapidly to all corners of the word,in a very complex manner.A key research focus is in predicting the development trend of COVID-19 scientifically through mathematical modelling.We conducted a systematic review of epidemic prediction models of COVID-19 and the public health intervention strategies by searching the Web of Science database.55 studies of the COVID-19 epidemic model were reviewed systematically.It was found that the COVID-19 epidemic models were different in the model type,acquisition method,hypothesis and distribution of key input parameters.Most studies used the gamma distribution to describe the key time period of COVID-19 infection,and some studies used the lognormal distribution,the Erlang distribution,and theWeibull distribution.The setting ranges of the incubation period,serial interval,infectious period and generation time were 4.9-7 days,4.41-8.4 days,2.3-10 days and 4.4-7.5 days,respectively,and more than half of the incubation periods were set to 5.1 or 5.2 days.Most models assumed that the latent period was consistent with the incubation period.Some models assumed that asymptomatic infections were infectious or pre-symptomatic transmission was possible,which overestimated the value of R0.For the prediction differences under different public health strategies,the most significant effect was in travel restrictions.There were different studies on the impact of contact tracking and social isolation,but it was considered that improving the quarantine rate and reporting rate,and the use of protective face mask were essential for epidemic prevention and control.The input epidemiological parameters of the prediction models had significant differences in the prediction of the severity of the epidemic spread.Therefore,prevention and control institutions should be cautious when formulating public health strategies by based on the prediction results of mathematical models.Yue Xiang Yonghong Jia Linlin Chen Lei Guo Bizhen Shu Enshen Long 2021Infectious Disease Modelling2021,6,1:3
17HGF percutaneous endocardial injection induces cardiomyocyte proliferation and rescues cardiac function in pigs显示文摘Objective:To investigate the effect of cardiomyocyte proliferation induced by human hepatocyte growth factor(HGF)in pigs with chronic myocardial infarction(CMI).Methods:A steerable,deflectable 7F catheter incorporating a 27-guage needle was advanced percutaneously to the left ventricular myocardium of 18 pigs with CMI.Pigs were randomized(1:1:1)to receive adenoviral vector HGF(total dose,1×1010 genome copies),which was administered as five injections into the infarcted myocardium(total,1.0 mL),or saline,or Ad-null(control groups).Injections were guided by Ensite NavX left ventricular electroanatomical mapping.HGF and cyclin proteins were detected by western blot and immunoprecipitation analysis.Histological and immunohistochemical analysis determined proliferating cardiomyocytes.Myocardial perfusion and cardiac function were estimated by Gated-Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography(G-SPECT).Results:Western blot analyses showed that HGF were predominantly expressed in the infarct core and border in the myocardium of the infarcted heart.G-SPECT analysis indicated that the HGF group had better cardiac function and myocardial perfusion four weeks after the injection of Ad-HGF than before the injection of Ad-HGF.After treatment there were more proliferating cardiomyocytes in the HGF group compared to either of the control groups.Furthermore,the HGF group myocardial samples expressed higher levels of p-Akt,cyclin A,cyclin E,cyclin D1,cdk2,cdk4 than those in the control groups.Conclusion:The over-expression of HGF activates pro-survival pathways,induces cardiomyocyte proliferation,and improves the perfusion and function of the porcine CMI heart.Zhengxian Tao Bo Chen Yingming Zhao Hongwu Chen Liansheng Wang Yonghong Yong Kejiang Cao Qifeng Yu Danian Ke` Hua Wang Zuze Wu Zhijian Yang 2010The Journal of Biomedical Research2010,24,3:3

20The Major Controlling Factors and Different Oolitic Shoal Reservoir Characteristics of the Triassic Feixianguan Formation,Eastern Longgang Area,NE Sichuan Basin,SW China显示文摘Based on comprehensive analyses of occurrence,petrological observation,pore structure and geochemistry,the different reservoir characteristics and reservoir evolutionary pathways between different oolitic shoal reservoir types of the Feixianguan Formation on the west side of the Kaijiang-Liangping Trough have been studied.There exist three stages of high-energy slope break belts in the Feixianguan period,the corresponding three stages of oolitic shoals gradually migrating in the direction of the trough.Three types of oolitic shoal reservoirs,namely,residual-oolitic dolomite,mold-oolitic dolomite and sparry oolitic limestone,were formed during sedimentary-diagenetic evolution,the pore types being intergranular dissolved pore,mold pore(or intragranular dissolved pore)and residual intergranular pore,respectively.The petrology,physical properties and pore structure of the different types of oolitic shoal reservoirs are quite different.Residual-oolitic dolomite reservoirs have the best quality,while sparry oolitic limestone reservoirs have the poorest.Combined with analyses of trace elements,rare earth elements and carbon-oxygen isotopes,it is suggested that the formation of residual-oolitic dolomite reservoirs is jointly controlled by penesaline seawater seepage-reflux dolomitization and hydrothermal dolomitization.Mold-pore oolitic dolomite reservoirs are controlled by penesaline seawater seepage-reflux dolomitization and meteoric water solution.The burial dissolution of organic acid not only further improves the reservoir qualities of previously formed oolitic dolomite reservoirs,but also preserves residual intergranular pores in the sparry oolitic limestone reservoirs.GU Yifan JIANG Yuqiang LEI Xiaohua CHEN Zhiyong ZHOU Lu FU Yonghong JIANG Zengzheng 2021Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2021,95,3:3
