| 1 | Thermally conductive polyvinyl alcohol composite films via introducing hetero-structured MXene@silver fillers显示文摘Ag nanoparticles were in-situ grown on the surface of MXene nanosheets to prepare thermally conductive hetero-structured MXene@Ag fillers.With polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)as the polymer matrix,thermally conductive MXene@Ag/PVA composite films were fabricated by the processes of solution blending,pouring,evaporative self-assembly.With the same mass fraction,MXene@Ag-III(MXene/Ag,2:1,w/w)presents more significant improvement in thermal conductivity coefficient(λ)than MXene@Ag,single MXene,Ag,simply blending MXene/Ag.MXene@Ag-III/PVA composite films show dual functions of excellent thermal conductivity and electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding.When the mass fraction of MXene@Ag-III is 60 wt.%,the in-planeλ(λ_(∥)),through-planeλ(λ_(⊥)),EMI shielding effectiveness(EMI SE)are 3.72 and 0.41 W/(m∙K),32 dB,which are increased by 3.1,1.3,105.7 times than those of pure PVA film(0.91 and 0.18 W/(m∙K),0.3 dB),respectively.The 60 wt.%MXene@Ag-III/PVA composite film also has satisfying mechanical and thermal properties,with Young’s modulus,glass transition temperature,heat resistance index of 3.8 GPa,58.5 and 175.3℃,respectively. | Mukun Li Yuyao Sun Dianying Feng Kunpeng Ruan Xia Liu Junwei Gu | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,5: | 10 |

| 3 | Novel Cascaded Z-Source Neutral Point Clamped Inverter显示文摘Z-source Neutral point clamped(NPC) inverter inherits the advantages of Z-source inverter, which can buck-boost energy and allow the shoot-through states.At the same time, Z-source NPC inverter has high running efficiency and less harmonic content. Hence, it can be widely used in motor drives and fuel cell applications.When increasing the modulation index, one can only get smaller shoot through value in Z-source NPC inverter,therefore the output voltage of the inverter can not be boosted very high. In this paper, a novel cascaded Z-source neutral point clamped inverter is proposed by cascading two Z-source networks in series. An Alternative phase opposition disposition(APOD) carrier-based modulator is applied to control the proposed Z-source inverter. To confirm the operating principle of the new Z-source NPC inverter, a generic APOD carrier-based modulator for the cascaded Z-source NPC Inverter under Matlab/Sinmulink is built. The simulation results show that the boost factor has been increased from 1/(1- 2D) for the traditional Z source NPC inverter to 1/(1- 4D) for the proposed cascaded Z-source NPC inverter. A prototype of the cascaded Z-source NPC inverter has been set up. | 14 | Enhancing tylosin production by combinatorial overexpression of efflux,SAM biosynthesis,and regulatory genes in hyperproducing Streptomyces xinghaiensis strain显示文摘Tylosin is a 16-membered macrolide antibiotic widely used in veterinary medicine to control infections caused by Gram-positive pathogens and mycoplasmas.To improve the fermentation titer of tylosin in the hyperproducing Streptomyces xinghaiensis strain TL01,we sequenced its whole genome and identified the biosynthetic gene cluster therein.Overexpression of the tylosin efflux gene tlrC,the cluster-situated S-adenosyl methionine(SAM)synthetase gene metK_(cs),the SAM biosynthetic genes adoK_(cs)-metFcs,or the pathway-specific activator gene tylR enhanced tylosin production by 18%,12%,11%,and 11%in the respective engineered strains TLPH08-2,TLPH09,TLPH10,and TLPH12.Co-overexpression of metK_(cs)and adoK_(cs)-metFcs as two transcripts increased tylosin production by 22%in the resultant strain TLPH11 compared to that in TL01.Furthermore,combinational overexpression of tlrC,metK_(cs),adoK_(cs)-metFcs,and tylR as four transcripts increased tylosin production by 23%(10.93g/L)in the resultant strain TLPH17 compared to that in TL01.However,a negligible additive effect was displayed upon combinational overexpression in TLPH17 as suggested by the limited increment of fermentation titer compared to that in TLPH08-2.Transcription analyses indicated that the expression of tlrC and three SAM biosynthetic genes in TLPH17 was considerably lower than that of TLPH08-2 and TLPH11.Based on this observation,the five genes were rearranged into one or two operons to coordinate their overexpression,yielding two engineered strains TLPH23 and TLPH24,and leading to further enhancement of tylosin production over TLPH17.In particular,the production of TLPH23 reached 11.35 g/L.These findings indicated that the combinatorial strategy is a promising approach for enhancing tylosin production in high-yielding industrial strains. | Penghui Dai Yuyao Qin Luyuan Li Haidi Li Lihuo Lv Danying Xu Yuqing Song Tingting Huang Shuangjun Lin Zixin Deng Meifeng Tao | 2023 | Synthetic and Systems Biotechnology2023,8,3: | 0 |

This paper aims at exploring the best parameters for preparing graphene with different layers on Cu foil by chemical vapor deposition(CVD)method and studying the effects of different layers graphene on Gr/Cu composite’s electrical conductivity. Graphene grown on single-sided and double-sided copper was prepared for Gr/Cu and Gr/Cu/Gr composites. The resultant electrical conductivity of Gr/Cu composites increased with decreasing graphene layers and increasing graphene volume fraction. | 18 | PHD3 inhibits colon cancer cell metastasis through the occludin-p38 pathway显示文摘Prolyl hydroxylase 3(PHD3)hydroxylates HIFαin the presence of oxygen,leading to HIFαdegradation.PHD3 inhibits tumorigenesis.However,the underlying mechanism is not well understood.Herein,we demonstrate that PHD3 inhibits the metastasis of colon cancer cells through the occludin-p38 MAPK pathway independent of its hydroxylase activity.We find that PHD3 inhibits colon cancer cell metastasis in the presence of the PHD inhibitor DMOG,and prolyl hydroxylase-deficient PHD3(H196A)suppresses cell metastasis as well.PHD3 controls the stability of the tight junction protein occludin in a hydroxylase-independent manner.We further find that PHD3-inhibited colon cancer cell metastasis is rescued by knockdown of occludin and that occludin acts as a negative regulator of cell metastasis,implying that PHD3 suppresses metastasis through occludin.Furthermore,knockdown of occludin induces phosphorylation of p38 MAPK,and the p38 inhibitor SB203580 impedes cell migration and invasion induced by occludin knockdown,indicating that occludin functions through p38.Moreover,knockdown of occludin enhances the expression of MKK3/6,the upstream kinase of p38,while overexpression of occludin decreases its expression.Our results suggest that PHD3 inhibits the metastasis of colon cancer cells through the occludin-p38 pathway independent of its hydroxylase activity.These findings reveal a previously undiscovered mechanism underlying the regulation of cancer cell metastasis by PHD3 and highlight a noncanonical hydroxylaseindependent function of PHD3 in the suppression of cancer cells. | Yuyao Li Tanglong Yuan Hongwei Zhang Shuting Liu Jie Lun Jing Guo Yu Wang Yuying Zhang Jing Fang | 2023 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2023,55,11: | 0 |
| 19 | A Biologically Inspired Cross-Type Ankle–Foot Exotendon:Assisting Plantarflexion Moment and Movement Stability显示文摘Cable-driven ankle–foot exoskeletons have attracted numerous researchers over the previous decade.The assistive forces of most exoskeletons pulled the back bottom of the shoes,across talocrural and subtalar joints.The talocrural joint is inherently mediolateral unstable at the plantarflexion position due to its sliding mortise structure,while the subtalar joint allows inversion/eversion.In this paper,a biologically inspired cross-type double-cable-driven ankle–foot exotendon was proposed to assist not only the plantarflexion moment but also the movement stability.The novel structure was bio-inspired by the behind-calf anatomically symmetric layout and under-foot cross-configuration of the ankle–foot muscles.To examine the combined functions,we conducted a forward pelvis perturbed standing experiment on five subjects without and with exotendon assistance and recorded the biomechanical data.Compared to the unpowered condition,the biological ankle plantarflexion moment was reduced by 39 with 0.1 Nm/kg exotendon assistance for one leg.Besides,the forward margin of stability was increased by 17 during the late perturbation period,which indicated the improvement of balance in the sagittal plane.In addition,the standard deviation of the lateral CoP and three-dimensional marker trajectories for the ankle condylar and heel all descended,which provided evidence for ankle–foot stability improvement.The results suggested that the proposed biological exotendon can provide the compound ankle–foot assistance,reducing plantarflexion moment and improving movement stability. | Yuyao Liu Ronglei Sun Ying Li Miao Zhang Kaijie Zou | 2023 | Journal of Bionic Engineering2023,20,6: | 0 |
| 20 | High-contrast and real-time visualization of membrane proteins in live cells with malachite green-based fluorogenic probes显示文摘Imaging dynamics of membrane proteins of live cells in a wash-free and real-time manner has been a challenging task. Herein, we report unprecedented applications of malachite green(MG), an organic dye widely used in pigment industry, as a switchable fluorophore to monitor membrane enzymes or noncatalytic proteins in live cells. Conformationally flexible MG is non-fluorescent in aqueous solution, yet covalent binding with endogenous proteins of cells significantly enhances its fluorescence at 670 nm by restricting flexibility of dye. Integrating a phosphate-caged quinone methide precursor with MG yielded a covalent labeling fluorogenic probe, allowing real-time imaging of membrane alkaline phosphatase(ALP,a model catalytic protein) activity in live cells with over 100-fold enhancement of fluorescence intensity.Moreover, MG is also applicable to image non-catalytic protein by conjugation with protein-specific ligand.
