| 1 | Inhibition of adipogenic differentiation by myostatin is alleviated by arginine supplementation in porcine-muscle-derived mesenchymal stem cells显示文摘Porcine mesenchymal stem cells in postnatal muscle have been demonstrated to differentiate into adipocytes.This increases adipocyte number and lipid accumulation,and is thought to be the origin of intramuscular fat.In this study,the effects of myostatin and arginine on adipogenic differentiation in mesenchymal stem cells derived from porcine muscle (pMDSCs) were investigated in vitro.Intracellular triglyceride levels were reduced by exogenous myostatin and increased by arginine supplementation or myostatin antibody (P<0.01).The inhibition of lipid accumulation by myostatin in pMDSCs was alleviated by arginine supplementation (P<0.01).Expression patterns of adipogenic transcription factors showed that exogenous myostatin suppressed PPARγ2 and aP2 expression (P<0.01),while supplemental arginine or myostatin antibody promoted ADD1 expression (P<0.01).Furthermore,compared with the addition of either myostatin protein or antibody alone,ADD1 and PPARδ expression were promoted by the combination of arginine and myostatin (P<0.01),and arginine combined with myostatin antibody promoted the expression of ADD1,PPAR,C/EBP,PPAR 2 and LPL in pMDSCs (P<0.05).These results suggest that myostatin inhibits adipogenesis in pMDSCs,and that this can be alleviated by arginine supplementation,at least in part,through promoting ADD1 and PPAR expression. | LEI HuLong YU Bing YANG XueRong LIU ZeHui HUANG ZhiQing MAO XiangBing TIAN Gang HE Jun HAN GuoQuan CHEN Hong MAO Qian CHEN DaiWen | 2011 | Science China(Life Sciences)2011,54,10: | 4 |
| 2 | Effect of silica nanoparticles/poly(vinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropylene) coated layers on the performance of polypropylene separator for lithium-ion batteries显示文摘In an effort to reduce thermal shrinkage and improve electrochemical performance of porous polypropylene(PP) separators for lithium-ion batteries, a new composite separator is developed by introducing ceramic coated layers on both sides of PP separator through a dip-coating process. The coated layers are comprised of heat-resistant and hydrophilic silica nanoparticles and polyvinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropylene(PVDF-HFP) binders. Highly porous honeycomb structure is formed and the thickness of the layer is only about 700 nm. | 9 | Improving the Properties of Fast-Growing Chinese Fir by Vacuum Hot Pressing Treatment显示文摘Chinese fir was compressed by vacuum hot pressing and conventional hot pressing at different temperatures(180℃,200℃ and 220℃),respectively.The color parameters of the heat-compressed sample were measured,the relative mechanical properties of the material were tested and changes in the chemistry of fir were investigated using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and Xray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).The results indicated that the color difference between compressed and untreated wood increased gradually with the increase of temperature.Compared with the conventional hot pressing treatment,the color difference(ΔE*)of the Chinese fir treated by vacuum hot pressing decreased by 43.73%,69.91%,and 77.17%,respectively.The mechanical properties(bending elastic modulus and bending strength)of Chinese fir treated by vacuum hot pressing were significantly improved.The 24-hour water absorption thickness expansion rate of fir treated by vacuum hot pressing is smaller than that of conventional hot pressing.It is implied that vacuum hot pressing treatment is an effective method to produce compressed wood,which can improve the mechanical properties and dimensional stability of wood,and reduce the influence of carbonization on wood color. | Lu Hong Biqing Shu Qian He Zehui Ju Haiyang Zhang Xiaoning Lu | 2021 | Journal of Renewable Materials2021,9,1: | 0 |
| 10 | Evidence of aircraft activity impact on local air quality: A study in the context of uncommon airport operation显示文摘Wuhan Tianhe International Airport (WUH) was suspended to contain the spread of COVID-19,while Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA) saw a tremendousflight reduction.Closure of a major international airport is extremely rare and thus represents a unique opportunity to straightforwardly observe the impact of airport emissions on local air quality.In this study,a series of statistical tools were applied to analyze the variations in air pollutant levels in the vicinity of WUH and SHA.The results of bivariate polar plots show that airport SHA and WUH are a major source of nitrogen oxides.NOx,NO_(2)and NO diminished by 55.8%,44.1%,76.9%,and 40.4%,33.3% and 59.4% during the COVID-19 lockdown compared to those in the same period of 2018 and 2019,under a reduction in aircraft activities by 58.6%and61.4%.The concentration of NO_(2),SO_(2)and PM_(2.5)decreased by 77.3%,8.2%,29.5%,right after the closure of airport WUH on 23 January 2020.The average concentrations of NO,NO_(2)and NOxscatter plots at downwind of SHA after the lockdown were 78.0%,47.9%,57.4%and 62.3%,34.8%,41.8%lower than those during the same period in 2018 and 2019.However,a significant increase in O_(3)levels by 50.0% and 25.9%at WUH and SHA was observed,respectively.These results evidently show decreased nitrogen oxides concentrations in the airport vicinity due to reduced aircraft activities,while amplified O_(3)pollution due to a lower titration by NO under strong reduction in NOxemissions. | Hao Xu Kai Xiao Jun Pan Qingyan Fu Xiaodong Wei Junrui Zhou Yamei Yu Xue Hu Huarui Ren Jinping Cheng Shitao Peng Ningning Hong Yin Ye Ning Su Zehui He Tao Hu | 2023 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,3: | 0 |
