| 1 | 152 W high-power blue diode laser operated at 447 nm显示文摘We demonstrate a high-power blue diode laser operated at 447 nm combining laser diodes using an optical fiber bundle. As many as 127 diode lasers at 447 nm were coupled into 400 μm/0.22 NA fibers using an aspherical lens group with different focus lengths. The bare fibers were mechanically bundled through high temperature ultraviolet adhesive after the coatings of the 127 fibers were stripped. The diameter of the fiber bundle was 6 mm. | 2 | Experimental study on pressurized activated sludge process for high concentration pesticide wastewater显示文摘Pressurized biochemical process derived from traditional activated sludge processes is an innovative technology for wastewater treatment. The main advantage of the pressurized process is that the oxygen transfer barrier can be overcome by increasing the dissolved oxygen level. In this study, high concentration pesticide wastewater was treated by pressurized activated sludge process. It was found that the removal of chemical oxygen demand (COD) increased steadily with the increase of operating pressure, aeration time, and sludge concentration. When the operation pressure was 0.30 MPa and the aeration time was 6 hr, 85.0%–92.5% COD, corresponding to an effluent COD of 230–370 mg/L, was removed from an influent COD of 2500–5000 mg/L. The obtained outlet COD concentration was lower than 350–450 mg/L for the identical process operated under the atmospheric pressure. In addition, pressurized biochemical process could produce a higher COD volumetric loading rate at 5.8–7.6 kg COD/(m3·day), compared with 2.0–2.8 kg COD/(m3·day) using the same equipment at the atmospheric pressure. | 4 | A comparative study of proliferation and osteogenic differentiation of rat adipose-derived stem cells in β-tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP), forsterite (Mg_2SiO_4 ) and clinoenstatite (MgSiO_3)显示文摘In this study, the effects of forsterite and clinoenstatite powder extracts on the proliferation and osteogenic differentiation of rat adipose-derived stem cells (ASCs) were investigated and compared with the β-tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP) powder extracts. Methylthiazolyldiphenyl-tetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay and live-dead staining were performed to evaluate the viability and proliferation of rat ASCs. Osteogenic differentiation of rat ASCs were assayed by alkaline phosphatase (ALP) staining and ALP activity test. The expression of osteogenic marker genes (alkaline phosphatase (ALP), runt related transcription factor 2 (Runx2), collagen type Iα1 (Col1α1), secreted phosphoprotein1 (Spp1, osteopontin), integrin binding sialoprotein (Ibsp), bone gla protein (Bglap)) were detected by real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The MTT assay and the live-dead staining showed that all the three ceramics possessed good cytocompatibility with rat ASCs. Furthermore, forsterite and clinoenstatite promoted the proliferation of rat ASCs compared with β-TCP. The results of the ALP activity test and the real-time PCR demonstrated that forsterite and clinoenstatite promoted the osteogenic differentiation of rat ASCs. | 5 | The effect of copper valence on catalytic combustion of styrene over the copper based catalysts in the absence and presence of water vapor显示文摘Catalysts Cu Ox/γ-Al_2O_3-IH and Cu Ox/γ-Al_2O_3-IM were prepared, characterized, and tested for styrene combustion in the absence and presence of water vapor. The effect of copper valence of the catalysts on the catalytic activity for styrene combustion was discussed using the theory of hard soft acids and bases(HSAB).The results showed that the existence of water vapor in feed stream inhibited the catalytic activity for styrene combustion due to the competition adsorption of water molecule. | 7 | Discharge rate consistency of each channel for UAV-based pneumatic granular fertilizer spreader显示文摘Unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)are widely being used to spread granular fertilizer in China.Granular fertilizer spreaders equipped with UAVs are mainly centrifugal disc-type and pneumatic.The multichannel pneumatic granular fertilizer spreaders(MPGFSs)have a banded fertilizer deposition distribution pattern,which are more suitable for variable rate fertilization with high precision requirement than the circular deposition distribution pattern of disc-type granular fertilizer spreaders(DGFSs).However,the existing MPGFS has the disadvantage of inconsistent discharge rate of each channel,which affects the uniformity of fertilization.In order to explore the causes of inconsistent discharge rate of each channel,the discrete element method(DEM)and bench test were performed to analysis the discharge process of the fluted roller fertilizing apparatus and distribution of fertilizer in axial direction of fluted roller.The computational fluid dynamics(CFD)was used to simulate the airflow field of pneumatic system to analyze the influence of airflow on the movement of fertilizer particles.The simulation results of the discharge process of the fluted roller fertilizing apparatus showed that the filling velocity at the axial ends of the fluted roller fertilizing apparatus was lower than that of the middle.The reason was that the filling capacity was weak near the wall.The simulated results of the airflow field without partitions showed that the airflow provided by the axial flow fan was rotational,and this caused the particles to move irregularly in the throat,resulting in inconsistency discharge rate of each channel.Based on the analysis of reasons of inconsistent discharge rate of each channel,a MPGFS with partitions in the throat was developed.The discharge rate bench tests were carried out to optimize the partition spacing parameters,and fertilization test was performed to test the performance of the improved MPGFS.The discharge rate test results showed better consistency with partition.The coefficient of variation(CV)of the discharge rate of each channel was 20.16%without the partition and 7.70%with the optimal partition.The fertilizer spreading uniformity bench test results shown that the CV of spreading uniformity of MPGFS without partitions was 15.32%,and that MPGFS with partitions was 8.69%.The partitions design was beneficial to improve the consistency of each channel discharge rate and the uniformity of fertilization.The finding can provide a strong reference to design the MPGFS. | Xunwei Wang Rui Jiang Zhiyan Zhou Cancan Song Xiwen Luo Ruifeng Bao Zichen Lyu Junhao Huang Jianqin Lin | 2023 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2023,16,4: | 1 |

| 11 | Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector.Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements,such as its low-energy threshold,high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors,and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors.In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable,assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition,approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected.This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter,which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle.Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better,depending on the central value,and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND experiment. | 12 | Genetic dissection and genomic prediction for pork cuts and carcass morphology traits in pig显示文摘Background As pre-cut and pre-packaged chilled meat becomes increasingly popular,integrating the carcasscutting process into the pig industry chain has become a trend.Identifying quantitative trait loci(QTLs)of pork cuts would facilitate the selection of pigs with a higher overall value.However,previous studies solely focused on evaluating the phenotypic and genetic parameters of pork cuts,neglecting the investigation of QTLs influencing these traits.This study involved 17 pork cuts and 12 morphology traits from 2,012 pigs across four populations genotyped using CC1 PorcineSNP50 BeadChips.Our aim was to identify QTLs and evaluate the accuracy of genomic estimated breed values(GEBVs)for pork cuts.Results We identified 14 QTLs and 112 QTLs for 17 pork cuts by GWAS using haplotype and imputation genotypes,respectively.Specifically,we found that HMGA1,VRTN and BMP2 were associated with body length and weight.Subsequent analysis revealed that HMGA1 primarily affects the size of fore leg bones,VRTN primarily affects the number of vertebrates,and BMP2 primarily affects the length of vertebrae and the size of hind leg bones.The prediction accuracy was defined as the correlation between the adjusted phenotype and GEBVs in the validation population,divided by the square root of the trait’s heritability.The prediction accuracy of GEBVs for pork cuts varied from 0.342 to 0.693.Notably,ribs,boneless picnic shoulder,tenderloin,hind leg bones,and scapula bones exhibited prediction accuracies exceeding 0.600.Employing better models,increasing marker density through genotype imputation,and pre-selecting markers significantly improved the prediction accuracy of GEBVs.Conclusions We performed the first study to dissect the genetic mechanism of pork cuts and identified a large number of significant QTLs and potential candidate genes.These findings carry significant implications for the breeding of pork cuts through marker-assisted and genomic selection.Additionally,we have constructed the first reference populations for genomic selection of pork cuts in pigs. | Lei Xie Jiangtao Qin Lin Rao Dengshuai Cui Xi Tang Liqing Chen Shijun Xiao Zhiyan Zhang Lusheng Huang | 2023 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2023,14,6: | 0 |
| 13 | The decadal abrupt change in the global land vapor pressure deficit显示文摘The vapor pressure deficit(VPD) is an important variable used to characterize atmospheric aridity.This paper analyses the spatial and temporal characteristics of the decadal abrupt change(DAC) in the global land VPD after 1980 using monthly scale data from the Climatic Research Unit.The results show that 60.5% of the global land area underwent a significantly increased decadal abrupt change(IDAC) in the VPD,and the persistent IDAC of the VPD was obvious in the middle and low latitudes of Eurasia,Africa and parts of South America but not in central North America or Western Siberia.From 1980 to 2020,most regions experienced no more than two persistent IDACs,while more than two significant increases occurred mainly around the Mediterranean and in eastern South America.The persistent IDAC occurred relatively early in the middle and low latitudes of Eurasia,Africa,and eastern South America and after 2000 in the high latitude regions,Eastern Europe,and near the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.The regions where the persistent IDAC lasted longer than 10 years mainly included North Africa,West Asia,eastern South America,and parts of East Asia,indicating that the persistent increases in atmospheric aridity in these regions were obvious.In general,the persistent IDAC that began in 1993–2000 was significantly more than that occurred in other periods and lasted longer than that before 1990,suggesting that the land area experiencing an abrupt increase has an expansion after the 1990s and that the role of water limitation in this persistent IDAC in Central Asia and most of China strengthened.In addition,the VPD showed another large-scale persistent IDAC over the global land region in 2009,indicating that global atmospheric aridity intensified over the last decade.At the same time,in a few global regions,the VPD has exhibited decreased decadal abrupt changes(DDACs) with durations shorter than 2 years. | Mengqi CHENG Zhiyan ZUO Zouxing LIN Qinglong YOU Huan WANG | 2023 | Science China Earth Sciences2023,66,7: | 0 |
