1Analogic China map constructed by DNA显示文摘In this research,a nanoscale DNA structure of analogic China map is created. The nanostructure of roughly 150 nm in diameter with a spatial resolution of 6 nm is purely constructed by folding DNA. The picture observed by atomic force microscopy (AFM) is almost identical with the de-signed shape. 2Saponins from Panax japonicus attenuate age-related neuroinflammation via regulation of the mitogen-activated protein kinase and nuclear factor kappa B signaling pathways显示文摘Neuroinflammation is recognized as an important pathogenic factor for aging and related cognitive disorders. Mitogen-activated protein kinase and nuclear factor kappa B signaling pathways may mediate neuroinflammation. Saponins from Panax japonicus are the most abundant and bioactive members in rhizomes of Panax japonicus, and show anti-inflammatory activity. However, it is not known whether saponin from Panax japonicus has an anti-inflammatory effect in the aging brain, and likewise its underlying mechanisms. Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into control groups(3-, 9-, 15-, and 24-month-old groups) and saponins from Panax japonicus-treated groups. Saponins from Panax japonicus-treated groups were orally administrated saponins from Panax japonicus at three doses of 10, 30, and 60 mg/kg once daily for 6 months until the rats were 24 months old. Immunohistochemical staining and western blot assay results demonstrated that many microglia were activated in 24-month-old rats compared with 3-and 9-month-old rats. Expression of interleukin-1β, tumor necrosis factor-α, cyclooxygenase-2, and inducible nitric oxide synthase increased. Each dose of saponins from Panax japonicus visibly suppressed microglial activation in the aging rat brain, and inhibited expression levels of the above factors. Each dose of saponins from Panax japonicus markedly diminished levels of nuclear factor kappa B, IκBα, extracellular signal-regulated kinase, c-Jun N-terminal kinase, and p38. 3Genetic analysis and molecular mapping of a presenescing leaf gene psll in rice (Oryza sativa L.)显示文摘A rice psl1 (presenescing leaf) mutant was obtained from a japonica variety Zhonghua 11 via radiation of 60Co-γ in M2 generation. Every leaf of the mutant began to wither after it reached the big-gest length,while the leaves of the wild variety could keep green for 25―35 d. In this study,genetic analysis and gene mapping were carried out for the mutant identified. The SSR marker analysis showed that the mutant was controlled by a single recessive gene (psl1) located on chromosome 2. Fine mapping of the psl1 locus was conducted with 34 new STS markers developed around psl1 anchored region based on the sequence diversity between Nippon-bare and 93-11. The psl1 was further mapped be-tween two STS markers,STS2-19 and STS2-26,with genetic distances of 0.43 and 0.11 cM,respectively,while cosegregated with STS2-25. A BAC contig was found to span the psl1 locus,the region being delim-ited to 48 kb. 4Rapid report of the 8 January 2022 M_(S)6.9 Menyuan earthquake,Qinghai,China显示文摘The M_(S)6.9 Menyuan earthquake in Qinghai Province,west China is the largest earthquake by far in 2022.The earthquake occurs in a tectonically active region,with a background b-value of 0.87 within 100 km of the epicenter that we derived from the unified catalog produced by China Earthquake Networks Center since late 2008.Field surveys have revealed surface ruptures extending 22 km along strike,with a maximum ground displacement of 2.1 m.We construct a finite fault model with constraints from In SAR observations,which showed multiple fault segments during the Menyuan earthquake.The major slip asperity is confined within 10 km at depth,with the maximum slip of 3.5 m.Near real-time back-projection results of coseismic radiation indicate a northwest propagating rupture that lasted for~10 s.Intensity estimates from the back-projection results show up to a Mercalli scale of IX near the ruptured area,consistent with instrumental measurements and the observations from the field surveys.Aftershock locations(up to January 21,2022)exhibit two segments,extending to~20 km in depth.The largest one reaches M_(S)5.3,locating near the eastern end of the aftershock zone.Although the location and the approximate magnitude of the mainshock had been indicated by previous studies based on paleoearthquake records and seismic gap,as well as estimated stressing rate on faults,significant surfacebreaching rupture leads to severe damage of the high-speed railway system,which poses a challenge in accurately assessing earthquake hazards and risks,and thus demands further investigations of the rupture behaviors for crustal earthquakes.Hongfeng Yang Dun Wang Rumeng Guo Mengyu Xie Yang Zang Yue Wang Qiang Yao Chuang Cheng Yanru An Yingying Zhang 2022Earthquake Research Advances2022,2,1:14
5The effect of hematoma puncture drainage before decompressive craniectomy on the prognosis of hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage with cerebral hernia at a high altitude显示文摘Purpose:Rapid decompressive craniectomy(DC)was the most effective method for the treatment of hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage(HICH)with cerebral hernia,but the mortality and disability rate is still high.We suspected that hematoma puncture drainage(PD)+DC may improve the therapeutic effect and thus compared the combined surgery with DC alone.Methods:From December 2013 to July 2019,patients with HICH from Linzhi,Tibet and Honghe,Yunnan Province were retrospectively analyzed.The selection criteria were as follows:(1)altitude≥1500 m;(2)HICH patients with cerebral hernia;(3)Glascow coma scale score of 4-8 and time from onset to admission≤3 h;(4)good liver and kidney function;and(5)complete case data.The included patients were divided into DC group and PD+DC group.The patients were followed up for 6 months.The outcome was assessed by Glasgow outcome scale(GOS)score,Kaplan-Meier survival curve and correlation between time from admission to operation and prognosis.A good outcome was defined as independent(GOS score,4-5)and poor outcome defined as dependent(GOS score,3-1).All data analyses were performed using SPSS 19,and comparison between two groups was conducted using separatet-tests or Chi-square tests.Results:A total of 65 patients was included.The age ranged 34-90 years(mean,63.00±14.04 years).Among them,31 patients had the operation of PD+DC,whereas 34 patients underwent DC.The two groups had no significant difference in the basic characteristics.After 6 months of follow-up,in the PD+DC group there were 8 death,4 vegetative state,4 severe disability(GOS score 1-3,poor outcome 51.6%);8 moderate disability,and 7 good recovery(GOS score 4-5,good outcome 48.4%);while in the DC group the result was 15 death,6 vegetative state,5 severe disability(poor outcome 76.5%),4 moderate disability and 4 good recovery(good outcome 23.5%).The GOS score and good outcome were significantly less in DC group than in PD+DC group(Z=-1.993,p=0.046;χ2=4.38,p=0.043).However,there was no significant difference regarding the survival curve between PD+DC group and DC group.The correlation between the time from admission to operation and GOS at 6 months(r=-0.41,R2=0.002,p=0.829)was not significant in the PD+DC group,but significant in the DC group(r=-0.357,R2=0.128,p=0.038).Conclusion:PD+DC treatment can improve the good outcomes better than DC treatment for HICH with cerebral hernia at a high altitude.Lin-Jie Wei Chi Lin Xing-Sen Xue Guo-Dong Dun Jian-Bo Zhang Yan-Xiang Tong Jia-Xiong Wang Shi-Ji Yang Ling Wang Zhi Chen Hua Feng Gang Zhu 2021Chinese Journal of Traumatology2021,24,6:11
6Advances in BeiDou Navigation Satellite System(BDS)and satellite navigation augmentation technologies显示文摘Several noteworthy breakthroughs have been made with the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System(BDS)and other global navigation satellite systems as well as the associated augmentation systems,such as the commissioning of the BDS-3 preliminary system and the successful launch of the first BDS-3 GEO satellite which carries the satellite-based augmentation payload.Presently,BDS can provide basic services globally,and its augmentation system is also being tested.This paper gives an overview of BDS and satellite navigation augmentation technologies.This overview is divided into four parts,which include the system segment technologies,satellite segment technologies,propagation segment technologies,and user segment technologies.In each part,these technologies are described from the perspectives of preliminary information,research progress,and summary.Moreover,the significance and progress of the BeiDou Satellite-based Augmentation System(BDSBAS),low earth orbit augmentation,and the national BeiDou ground-based augmentation system are presented,along with the airborne-based augmentation system.Furthermore,the conclusions and discussions covering popular topics for research,frontiers in research and development,achievements,and suggestions are listed for future research.Rui Li Shuaiyong Zheng Ershen Wang Jinping Chen Shaojun Feng Dun Wang Liwen Dai 2020Satellite Navigation2020,1,1:9

11Mitochondrial DNA T7719G in tRNA-Lys gene affects litter size in Small-tailed Han sheep显示文摘Background: In farm animals, mitochondrial DNA(mtDNA) effect on economic performance remains hot-topic for breeding and genetic selection. Here, 53 maternal lineages of Small-tailed Han sheep were used to investigate the association of mitochondrial DNA variations and the lambing litter size.Results: Sequence sweeping of the mitochondrial coding regions discovered 31 non-synonymous mutations, and the association study revealed that T7719G in mt DNA t RNA-Lys gene was associated with litter size(P < 0.05),manifesting 0.29 lambs per litter between the G and T carriers. Furthermore, using the mixed linear model, we assayed the potential association of the ovine litter size and haplogroups and multiple-level mtDNA haplotypes,including general haplotypes, assembled haplotypes of electron transport chain contained sequences(H-ETC),mitochondrial respiratory complex contained sequences(H-MRC) and mitochondrial genes(H-gene, including polypeptide-coding genes, rRNA genes and tRNA genes). The strategy for assembled mitochondrial haplotypes was proposed for the first time in mtDNA association analyses on economic traits, although none of the significant relations could be concluded(P > 0.05). 12Ratiometric delivery of doxorubicin and berberine by liposome enables superior therapeutic index than Doxil?显示文摘Although the appearance of Doxil alleviated the cardiotoxicity of DOX, the progression-free survival of patients was not prolonged compared with traditional medication regimens, and side effects such as hand-foot syndrome has occurred. In order to solve this dilemma, we have designed a novel co-delivery strategy to construct a co-loaded liposome of berberine(BER) and doxorubicin(DOX), which was called Lipo Be Do. The optimal synergistic ratio of the two drugs was screened by cell cytotoxicity experiments in vitro, and the optimal attenuation ratio was further determined by in vivo cardiac H&E staining pathological sections. The optimal combination treatment caused a robust increase in apoptotic cells of 4T1, as compared to drug alone treatment. The prepared co-loaded liposome, Lipo Be Do, had high encapsulation efficiency and good stability. The nanoliposome carrier controlled the biological fate of the drugs and maintained a pre-defined optimal ratio in vivo. The Lipo Be Do significantly inhibited tumor growth in 4T1 murine mammary carcinoma model compared with Doxil(P < 0.05), and completely overcame the myocardial rupture toxicity caused by Doxil in mice. 14Campus Vibration in Nanwangshan Campus,China University of Geosciences at Wuhan Monitored by Short-Period Seismometers显示文摘Continuous seismic observations can record seismic waveforms, and ambient noise, for the purposes of earthquake researches and other applications. Here we deploy three digital seismometers(EPS-2) in and around the Nanwangshan Campus of the China University of Geosciences(Wuhan). This network was running from April 9 to May 9 of 2018. During this period, the seismometers recorded the May 4, 2018 M6.9 Hawaii earthquake. From the recorded waveforms, we could observe clearly the P and S arrivals, and the corresponding particle motions. Analysis of continuous observations of ambient noise shows obvious fluctuation of vibration intensity inside of the campus. The campus is quietest from 0 to 5 am. From 5 am on, the vibration intensity increases, and reaches the peak of entire day at 12 am. The amplitude then decreases to a very low level at 19:30 to 20:00 pm, and reaches another strong noisy time at 21:00 to 21:30 pm. After 21:30 pm, the intensity goes down slowly. We also observed seismic signals that were generated by the interaction of speed-control hump cars and ground. By taking the envelope and smooth operations, we observe different characteristics for different car speeds, which suggests that seismic monitoring approaches can be used for speed measurement of cars. This kind of small seismic network running in a real time fashion, would greatly help understanding of the sources of ambient noise at high frequency bands in interested areas. 15PHYTOCHROME-INTERACTING FACTORS Interact with the ABA Receptors PYL8 and PYL9 to Orchestrate ABA Signaling in Darkness显示文摘PHYTOCHROME-INTERACTING FACTORS(PIFs)are a group of basic helix-loop-helix transcription factors that can physically interact with photoreceptors,including phytochromes and cryptochromes.It was previously demonstrated that PIFs accumulated in darkness and repressed seedling photomorphogenesis,and that PIFs linked different photosensory and hormonal pathways to control plant growth and development.In this study,we show that PIFs positively regulate the ABA signaling pathway during the seedling stage specifically in darkness.We found that PIFs positively regulate ABI5 transcript and protein levels in darkness in response to exogenous ABA treatment by binding directly to the G-box motifs in the ABI5 promoter.Consistently,PIFs and the G-box motifs in the ABI5 promoter determine ABI5 expression in darkness,and overexpression of ABI5 could rescue the ABA-insensitive phenotypes of pifq mutants in the dark.Moreover,we discovered that PIFs can physically interact with the ABA receptors PYL8 and PYL9,and that this interaction is not regulated by ABA.Further analyses showed that PYL8 and PYL9 promote PIF4 protein accumulation in the dark and enhance PIF4 binding to the ABI5 promoter,but negatively regulate PIF4-mediated ABI5 activation.Taken together,our data demonstrate that PIFs interact with ABA receptors to orchestrate ABA signaling in darkness by controlling ABI5 expression,providing new insights into the pivotal roles of PIFs as signal integrators in regulating plant growth and development.Lijuan Qi Shan Liu Cong Li Jingying Fu Yanjun Jing Jinkui Cheng Hong Li Dun Zhang Xiaoji Wang Xiaojing Dong Run Han Bosheng Li Yu Zhang Zhen Li William Terzaghi Chun-Peng Song Rongcheng Lin Zhizhong Gong Jigang Li 2020Molecular Plant2020,13,3:3

18Synthesis of tetrazole containing 1,2,3-thiadiazole derivatives via U-4CR and their anti-TMV activity显示文摘A series of novel tetrazole containing 1,2,3-thiadiazole derivatives were designed and synthesized via Ugi reaction. Their structures were confrmed by melting points, IR,1H NMR, and HRMS(ESI).Preliminary bioassay indicated that most target compounds exhibited very good direct anti-TMV activity at 100 μg/mL, which was equal to or higher than that of ribavirin. In this review, based on the wettability mechanisms and failure modes of superhydrophobic surfaces, it is proposed that the construction of highly stable superhydrophobic materials can be approached from four aspects, including structural design, chemical bonding, interfacial-strengthening of hydrophobic materials and substrates, and self-healing. We introduced in detail the design ideas, strengthening approaches, and characterization tools of highly stable superhydrophobic materials from the perspective of multi-strategy design and strengthening, and provided corresponding insights. Eventually, the development, current status, and prospects of highly stable and multifunctional superhydrophobic materials were also presented in detail. 20Co-amorphous solid dispersion systems of lacidipine-spironolactone with improved dissolution rate and enhanced physical stability显示文摘Co-amorphous solid dispersion(C-ASD)systems have attracted great attention to improve the solubility of poorly soluble drugs,but the selection of an appropriate stabilizer to stabilize amorphous forms is still a huge challenge.Herein,C-ASD system of two clinical combined used drugs(lacidipine(LCDP)and spironolactone(SPL))as stabilizers to each other,was prepared by solvent evaporation method.The effects of variation in molar ratio of LCDP and SPL(3:1,1:1,1:3,1:6,and 1:9)on the drug release characteristics were explored.Polarized light microscopy(PLM),powder X-ray diffraction(PXRD),differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)and thermogravimetric analysis(TGA)were employed to evaluate the solid states.Prepared C-ASDs were further studied for their stability under the high humidity(RH 92.5%).Further analysis of C-ASDs via Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and Raman spectroscopy confirmed that hydrogen bond interactions between the two drugs played a significant role in maintaining the stability of the C-ASDs systems.Moreover,molecular dynamic(MD)simulations provided a clear insight into the stability mechanism at the molecular level.This study demonstrated the novel drug-drug C-ASDs systems is a promising formulation strategy for improved dissolution rate and enhanced physical stability of poorly soluble drugs.Zhaomeng Wang Mengchi Sun Tian Liu Zisen Gao Qing Ye Xiao Tan Yanxian Hou Jin Sun Dun Wang Zhonggui He 2019Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2019,14,1:2
