3Feasibility of sentinel lymph node biopsy omission after integration of ^(18)F-FDG dedicated lymph node PET in early breast cancer: a prospective phase II trial显示文摘Objective:Sentinel lymph node biopsy(SLNB)is currently the standard of care in clinically node negative(cN0)breast cancer.The present study aimed to evaluate the negative predictive value(NPV)of 18F-FDG dedicated lymph node positron emission tomography(LymphPET)in cN0 patients.Methods:This was a prospective phase II trial divided into 2 stages(NCT04072653).In the first stage,cN0 patients underwent axillary LymphPET followed by SLNB.In the second stage,SLNB was omitted in patients with a negative preoperative axillary assessment after integration of LymphPET.Here,we report the results of the first stage.The primary outcome was the NPV of LymphPET to detect macrometastasis of lymph nodes(LN-macro).Results:A total of 189 patients with invasive breast cancer underwent LymphPET followed by surgery with definitive pathological reports.Forty patients had LN-macro,and 16 patients had only lymph node micrometastasis.Of the 131 patients with a negative LymphPET result,16 patients had LN-macro,and the NPV was 87.8%.After combined axillary imaging evaluation with ultrasound and LymphPET,100 patients were found to be both LymphPET and ultrasound negative,9 patients had LN-macro,and the NPV was 91%.Conclusions:LymphPET can be used to screen patients to potentially avoid SLNB,with an NPV>90%.The second stage of the SOAPET trial is ongoing to confirm the safety of omission of SLNB according to preoperational axillary evaluation integrating LymphPET.Junjie Li Jingyi Cheng Guangyu Liu Yifeng Hou Genghong Di Benglong Yang Yizhou Jiang Liang Huang Feilin Qu Sheng Chen Yan Wang Keda Yu Zhimin Shao 2022Cancer Biology & Medicine2022,19,7:1

5The protective effects of a D-tetra-peptide hydrogel adjuvant vaccine against H7N9 influenza virus in mice显示文摘Repeated waves of influenza virus H7N9 epidemics after 2013 have caused severe influenza in humans,with mortality reaching approximately 40%–50%.To prevent possible pandemics,the development of highly effective vaccines against influenza virus H7N9 is highly desired.In the present study,by taking advantage of the D-tetra-peptide adjuvant(G^(D)F^(D)F^(D)Y),we reported a simple method to prepare H7N9 vaccines.Naproxen(Npx),with good anti inflammatory and broad anti-viral effects,was employed as an N-terminal capping group to construct a hydrogel precursor,Npx-G^(D)F^(D)F^(D)Y.The hydrogel adjuvant was prepared using a routine heating cooling protocol and the final vaccine was ready after mixing with the split A/Zhejiang/DTID-ZJU01/2013(H7N9)antigen by vortexing.Compared with the traditional Al(OH)_(3) adjuvant vaccine and the split vaccine,our hydrogel adjuvant vaccine showed the best preventive effects against H7N9 infection.A mechanistic study illustrated that higher antibody responses and variations in cytokine expression might account for its increased protective effects.Our strategy demonstrated the advantages of a peptide hydrogel adjuvant in the application of vaccines against H7N9 and demonstrated its potential application in vaccines against emerging threats from other viruses.Keda Chen Xiaoxin Wu Qingjing Wang Ying Wang Haiyan Zhang Shuai Zhao Chaonan Li Zhiwen Hu Zhimou Yang Lanjuan Li 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,1:0
6Phase behavior and interfacial properties of symmetric polymeric ternary blends A/B/AB显示文摘In this paper,the phase behavior and interfacial properties of symmetric ternary polymeric blends A/B/AB are studied by dissipative particle dynamics(DPD)simulations.By using the structure factor and nematic order parameter,we carefully characterized the diversified phases and phase transitions,and established the phase diagram of such symmetric ternary blends.It can be generally divided into four regions:disordered phase(DIS)region at high temperature,ordered lamellar phase(LAM)region,bicontinuous microemulsion(BμE)channel and phase-separated phase(2P)region at low temperature with the increase of the total volume fractions of homopolymersФH,which shows good accordance with that in previous experimental and theoretical reports.Furthermore,we calculated the elastic constants of 2P and LAM phase,and discussed the transition mechanisms from 2P and LAM to BμE phase,respectively.The results show a direct relevance between the phase transitions and the change of interfacial properties.Finally,we also demonstrate that the BμE channel becomes narrower in lower temperature caused by the temperature dependence of interfacial properties of ternary blends.LIU XiaoHan BAI ZhiQiang YANG KeDa SU JiaYe GUO HongXia 2013Science China Chemistry2013,56,12:0
