1Planting density affected biomass and grain yield of maize for seed production in an arid region of Northwest China显示文摘Field experiments were conducted from 2012 to 2015 in an arid region of Northwest China to investigate the effects of planting density on plant growth, yield, and water use efficiency(WUE) of maize for seed production. Five planting densities of 6.75, 8.25, 9.75, 11.25 and 12.75 plants/m^2 were conducted in 2012, and a planting density of 14.25 plants/m^2 was added from 2013 to 2015. Through comparison with the Aqua Crop yield model, a modified model was developed to estimate the biomass accumulation and yield under different planting densities using adjustment coefficient for normalized biomass water productivity and harvest index. It was found that the modified yield model had a better performance and could generate results with higher determination coefficient and lower error. The results indicated that higher planting density increased the leaf area index and biomass accumulation, but decreased the biomass accumulation per plant. The total yield increased rapidly as planting density increased to 11.25 plants/m^2, but only a slight increase was observed when the density was greater than 11.25 plants/m^2. 4General synthesis of hollow mesoporous conducting polymers by dual-colloid interface co-assembly for high-energy-density micro-supercapacitors显示文摘Rational design and precise regulation over the morphology, structure, and pore size of functional conducting mesoporous polymers with enriched active sites and shorten electron–ion transport pathway are extremely important for developing high-performance micro-supercapacitors (MSCs), but still remain a great challenge. Herein, a general dual-colloid interface co-assembly strategy is proposed to fabricate hollow mesoporous polypyrrole nano-bowls (mPPy-nbs) for high-energy-density solid-state planar MSCs. By simply adjusting the size of block copolymer micelles, the diameter of polystyrene nanospheres and the amount of pyrrole monomer, mesopore size of the shell, void and shell thickness of mPPy-nbs can be simultaneously controlled. Importantly, this strategy can be further utilized to synthesize other hollow mesoporous polymers, including poly(tris(4-aminophenyl)amine), poly(1,3,5-triaminobenzene) and their copolymers, demonstrative of excellent universality. The structurally optimized mPPy-nb exhibits high specific surface area of 122 m^(2) g^(−1)and large capacitance of 225 F g^(−1) at 1 mV s^(−1). Furthermore, the MSCs assembled by mPPy-nbs deliver impressive volumetric capacitance of 90 F cm^(−3) and energy density of 2.0 mWh cm^(−3), superior to the most reported polymers-based MSCs. Also, the fabricated MSCs present excellent flexibility with almost no capacitance decay under varying bending states, and robust serial/parallel self-integration for boosting voltage and capacitance output. 5Nanoengineered hydrogels as 3D biomimetic extracellular matrix with injectable and sustained delivery capability for cartilage regeneration显示文摘The regeneration of articular cartilage remains a great challenge due to the difficulty in effectively enhancing spontaneous healing.Recently,the combination of implanted stem cells,suitable biomaterials and bioactive molecules has attracted attention for tissue regeneration.In this study,a novel injectable nanocomposite was rationally designed as a sustained release platform for enhanced cartilage regeneration through integration of a chitosan-based hydrogel,articular cartilage stem cells(ACSCs)and mesoporous SiO_(2)nanoparticles loaded with anhydroicaritin(AHI).The biocompatible engineered nanocomposite acting as a novel 3D biomimetic extracellular matrix exhibited a remarkable sustained release effect due to the synergistic regulation of the organic hydrogel framework and mesopore channels of inorganic mSiO_(2)nanoparticles(mSiO_(2)NPs).Histological assessment and biomechanical tests showed that the nanocomposites exhibited superior performance in inducing ACSCs proliferation and differentiation in vitro and promoting extracellular matrix(ECM)production and cartilage regeneration in vivo.Such a novel multifunctional biocompatible platform was demonstrated to significantly enhance cartilage regeneration based on the sustained release of AHI,an efficient bioactive natural small molecule for ACSCs chondrogenesis,within the hybrid matrix of hydrogel and mSiO_(2)NPs.Hence,the injectable nanocomposite holds great promise for use as a 3D biomimetic extracellular matrix for tissue regeneration in clinical diagnostics.Penglei Cui Panpan Pan Ling Qin Xinluan Wang Xiaodong Chen Yonghui Deng Xiaoling Zhang 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,1:2
6Rational construction of self-assembly azobenzene derivative monolayers with photoswitchable surface properties显示文摘Photo-responsive azobenzene(ABZ) derivatives with different end groups(R) as photoswitchable molecules were employed to construct self-assembled monolayers(SAMs) on silicon substrate by using3-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane(GPTS) as the bridging molecules. The assembly process was optimized by changing various parameters, including the type and concentration of ABZ derivatives,reaction time, etc. The obtained SAMs were fully characterized and evaluated using UV spectroscopy,atomic force microscope(AFM), elllipsometer, static contact angle and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS). It is found that the end group property of azobenzene derivatives is critical to the obtained SAMs' photoresponsive properties. 8Combined nanosuspensions from two natural active ingredients for cancer therapy with reduced side effects显示文摘Tumor drug resistance and systemic side effects of chemotherapeutic drugs are the main reasons for the failure of cancer treatment.In recent years,it was found that some natural active ingredients can reverse MDR and regulate body immunity to enhance the efficacy and reduce toxicity of chemotherapeutic drugs.In this paper,a new nanosuspensions,HCPT and QUR hybrid nanosuspensions(HQ-NPs),was prepared by the microprecipitation-high pressure homogenization method to reverse tumor drug resistance,reduce toxicity,and increase therapeutic efficacy.The in vitro investigation results showed that HQ-NPs had a unique shape(particle size was about 216.3±5.9 nm),changed crystalline,and different dissolution rates compared with HCPT-NPs and QUR-NPs,which is attributed to the strong intermolecular forces between HCPT and QUR as indicated by the results of the molecule dock.It was verified that the HQ-NPs could double the retention of HCPT in cells and enhance the cytotoxicity to A549/PTX cells in vitro tests compared with HCPT-NPs.We also found that HQ-NPs can significantly enhance the accumulation of HCPT in tumor sites,improve the antitumor activity of HCPT,and protect the immune organs and other normal tissues(P<0.01),compared with HCPT-NPs.Therefore,hybrid nanosuspensions can offer promising potential as the drug delivery system for HCPT and QUR to increase the therapeutic efficacy and reduce the toxicity of HCPT.Yonghui Qiao Zhihao Wei Tingting Qin Rufeng Song Zhiqiang Yu Qi Yuan Juan Du Qingbing Zeng Lanlan Zong Shaofeng Duan Xiaohui Pu 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,9:1

10Ambient Temperature and Years of Life Lost:A National Study in China显示文摘Although numerous studies have investigated premature deaths attributable to temperature,effects of temperature on years of life lost(YLL)remain unclear.We estimated the relationship between temperatures and YLL,and quantified the YLL per death caused by temperature in China.We collected daily meteorological and mortality data,and calculated the daily YLL values for 364 locations(2013–2017 in Yunnan,Guangdong,Hunan,Zhejiang,and Jilin provinces,and 2006–2011 in other locations)in China.A time-series design with a distributed lag nonlinear model was first employed to estimate the location-specific associations between temperature and YLL rates(YLL/100,000 population),and a multivariate meta-analysis model was used to pool location-specific associations.Then,YLL per death caused by temperatures was calculated.The temperature and YLL rates consistently showed U-shaped associations.A mean of 1.02(95%confidence interval:0.67,1.37)YLL per death was attributable to temperature.Cold temperature caused 0.98 YLL per death with most from moderate cold(0.84).The mean YLL per death was higher in those with cardiovascular diseases(1.14),males(1.15),younger age categories(1.31 in people aged 65–74 years),and in central China(1.34)than in those with respiratory diseases(0.47),females(0.87),older people(0.85 in people R75 years old),and northern China(0.64)or southern China(1.19).The mortality burden was modified by annual temperature and temperature variability,relative humidity,latitude,longitude,altitude,education attainment,and central heating use.Temperatures caused substantial YLL per death in China,which was modified by demographic and regional characteristics.Tao Liu Chunliang Zhou Haoming Zhang Biao Huang Yanjun Xu Lifeng Lin Lijun Wang Ruying Hu Zhulin Hou Yize Xiao Junhua Li Xiaojun Xu Donghui Jin Mingfang Qin Qinglong Zhao Weiwei Gong Peng Yin Yiqing Xu Jianxiong Hu Jianpeng Xiao Weilin Zeng Xing Li Siqi Chen Lingchuan Guo Zuhua Rong Yonghui Zhang Cunrui Huang Yaodong Du Yuming Guo Shannon Rutherford Min Yu Maigeng Zhou Wenjun Ma 2021The Innovation2021,2,1:1
11Predicting late radiation-induced xerostomia in nasopharyngeal carcinoma based on radiomics features extracted from T2WI images of parotids显示文摘Objective:To explore the value of radiomics features extracted from the T2-weighted imaging(T2WI)images of parotids in predicting late radiation-induced xerostomia in nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC)patients after radiotherapy(RT).Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted for 123 NPC patients who received RT at the Affiliated Tumour Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from January 2019 to March 2021.All the patients underwent MRI pre-RT and post-RT.They were randomly divided into a training set and a testing set at a ratio of 4:1 using a random number table,with the former and the latter comprising 98 and 25 cases,respectively.The ipsilateral parotid gland(iPG)and the contralateral parotid gland(cPG)were delineated on T2WI images pre-RT and post-RT as regions of interest(ROIs).A total of 851 radiomics features were extracted from each ROI.Spearman analysis was used to remove redundant features,and the recursive feature elimination(RFE)method was then used to determine useful features.Using radiomics features extracted from images pre-treatment,images post-treatment,and differences between images pre-and post-treatment,this study constructed three radiomic models,namely the pre-treatment radiomics model(preRT),the post-treatment radiomics model(postRT),and the deltaradiomics model(DeltaRT).Then,this study plotted the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves based on the late radiation-induced xerostomia grades of patients post-RT.Furthermore,the models’effectiveness and performance in predicting late radiation-induced xerostomia and advanced radioactive xerostomia was evaluated.In addition,the area under the curve(AUC),sensitivity,specificity,accuracy,precision,and negative predictive value(NPV)were calculated.Results:Among the features extracted from bilateral parotid glands(PGs),20 were determined pre-RT(six from iPG and 14 from cPG),19 were determined post-RT(six from iPG and 13 from cPG),and 20 were derived from the DeltaRT(20 from cPG).The PGs pre-RT and post-RT in the training set had AUCs of 0.902(95%CI:0.895-0.909)and 0.761(95%CI:0.744-0.778),respectively,while those in the testing set had AUCs of 0.740(95%CI:0.504-0.983)and 0.701(95%CI:0.478-0.924),respectively.In contrast,the AUC of the cPG derived from the DeltaRT was 0.867(95%CI:0.856-0.878)in the training set and 0.851(95%CI:0.697-0.999)in the testing set.Conclusions:There are significant correlations between radiomics features extracted from MRI T2WI images of parotids and late radiation-induced xerostomia in NPC patients.Among the radiomics features,the changes in cPG features pre-RT and post-RT have higher accuracy in predicting late radiation-induced xerostomia.Yonghui Qin Cheng Chang Li Huang Yong Yin Ruozheng Wang 2023Radiation Medicine and Protection2023,4,3:0
12One-dimensional nanochains consisting of magnetic core and mesoporous aluminosilicate for use as efficient nanocatalysts显示文摘Magnetic assembly at the nanoscale level brings potential possibilities in obtaining novel delicate nanostructures with unique physical, photonic or electronic properties. Interface surfactant micelle-directed assembly strategy holds great promising in fabricating ordered mesoporous materials with multifunctionality and pore parameter tunability. Combing these, herein, one-dimensional (1D) nanochains with well-aligned silica-coated magnetic particles as core and mesoporous aluminosilicate as shell are rational fabricated for the first time through magnetic field induced interface coassembly in biliquid system followed by the incorporation of Al species via in-situ chemical modification and transformation strategy. The obtained magnetic mesoporous aluminosilicate nanochains (MMAS-NCs) possess well-defined core-shell-shell sandwich nanostructure, tunable perpendicular mesopore channels in the shell (2.7–7.6 nm), high surface area (359 m^(2)·g^(-1)), abundant acidic sites, and superparamagnetism with a magnetization saturation of 13.8 emu·g^(-1). Thanks to the unique properties, the MMAS-NCs exhibit excellent performance in acting as magnetically recyclable superior solid acid catalysts and nanostirrers with high conversion of over 96.8%, selectivity of 95.0% in the deprotection reaction of benzaldehyde dimethylacetal to benzaldehyde. 13Facile synthesis of metal-polyphenol-formaldehyde coordination polymer colloidal nanoparticles with sub-50 nm for T_(1)-weighted magnetic resonance imaging显示文摘Plant polyphenol-based coordination polymers(CPs) with ultra-small particle size and tailorable compositions are highly desired in biomedical applicatio ns,but their synthesis is still challenging due to the sophisticated coordination assembly process and unavoidable self-oxidation polymerization of polyphenol. 14Effects of Distiller's Grain Substrate with Acid Regulation on the Growth of Tobacco Seedlings in Floating Breeding System显示文摘In order to reduce the use of peat resources and realize the sustainable development of tobacco,the pH of distiller's grain substrate was adjusted with humic acid,and the effects of various distiller's grain substrates on the growth of tobacco seedlings were studied to find out the method of cultivating high-quality tobacco seedlings by using distiller's grain substrate. The results showed that when 60% of humic acid was added to the distiller's grain substrate made from coarse distiller's grains,fine distiller's grains,perlite and vermiculite,both the pH and electrical conductivity decreased significantly and were similar to that of the conventional substrate. 16Night warming increases wheat yield by improving pre-anthesis plant growth and post-anthesis grain starch biosynthesis显示文摘Global climate change is characterized by asymmetric warming,i.e.,greater temperature increases in winter,spring,and nighttime than in summer,autumn,and daytime.Field experiments were conducted using four wheat cultivars,namely‘Yangmai 18’(YM18),‘Sumai 188’(SM188),‘Yannong 19’(YN19),and‘Annong 0711’(AN0711),in the two growing seasons of 2019-2020 and 2020-2021,with passive night warming during different periods in the early growth stage.The treatments were night warming during the tillering-jointing(NW_(T-J)),jointing-booting(NWJ-B),and booting-anthesis(NWB-A)stages,with ambient temperature(NN)as the control.The effects of night warming during different stages on wheat yield formation were investigated by determining the characteristics of dry matter accumulation and translocation,as well as sucrose and starch accumulation in wheat grains.The wheat yields of all four cultivars were significantly higher in NW_(T-J)than in NN in the 2-year experiment.The yield increases of semi-winter cultivars YN19 and AN0711 were greater than those of spring cultivars YM18 and SM188.Treatment NW_(T-J)increased wheat yield mainly by increasing the 1,000-grain weight and the number of fertile spikelets,and it increased dry matter accumulation in various organs of wheat at the anthesis and maturity stages by increasing the growth rate at the vegetative growth stage.The flag leaf and spike showed the largest increases in dry matter accumulation.NW_(T-J)also increased the grain sucrose and starch contents in the early and middle grain-filling stages,promoting yield formation.Overall,night warming between the tillering and jointing stages increased the pre-anthesis growth rate,and thus,wheat dry matter production,which contributed to an increase in wheat yield.Yonghui Fan Boya Qin Jinhao Yang Liangliang Ma Guoji Cui Wei He Yu Tang Wenjing Zhang Shangyu Ma Chuanxi Ma Zhenglai Huang 2024Journal of Integrative Agriculture2024,23,2:0

19Structural characterization of char during co-gasification from torrefied sludge and Yangchangwan bituminous coal显示文摘The present study aims to investigate the physico-chemical structural evolution characteristics of char structure of CO_(2) atmosphere torrefaction pretreated sludge with Yangchangwan bituminous coal(YC)during co-gasification.The co-gasification reactivity of torrefied sludge and YC was measured using a thermogravimetric analyzer.The co-gasification reactivity of torrefied sludge with YC was thoroughly explored in depth by in situ heating stage microscope coupled with traditional characterization means of char sample(Scanning electron microscope,nitrogen adsorption analyzer,laser Raman spectroscopy).The results show that the gasification reaction rate of sludge treated under CO_(2) atmosphere and coal blended char was better than other char samples at 1100–1200℃.The torrefied sludge under CO_(2) atmosphere promoted its thermal decomposition to the maximum extent,so that it eventually was transformed into a large number of small broken particles.The specific surface area and ID1/IG ratio of blended char of torrefied sludge under CO_(2) atmosphere and YC were 1.70 and 1.07 times higher than that of YC,respectively.The in situ technique revealed that YC char with the addition of torrefied sludge undergo gasification by shrinking core modes and the presence of obvious ash melting flow phenomenon.It was more obvious than that of YC.Xinsha Zhang Yonghui Bai Jie Qin Shengli Shi Jiazhong Liu Shuaibing Wang Minhui Zhao Guiming Shi Changbing Ye Guangsuo Yu 2023International Journal of Coal Science & Technology2023,10,5:0
20Gadolinium-doped mesoporous tungsten oxides:Rational synthesis,gas sensing performance,and mechanism investigation显示文摘As a typical family of volatile toxic compounds,benzene derivatives are massive emission in industrial production and the automobile field,causing serious threat to human and environment.The reliable and convenient detection of low concentration benzene derivatives based on intelligent gas sensor is urgent and of great significance for environmental protection.Herein,through heteroatomic doping engineering,rare-earth gadolinium(Gd)doped mesoporous WO_(3)with uniform mesopores(15.7–18.1 nm),tunable high specific surface area(52–55 m^(2)·g^(−1)),customized crystalline pore walls,was designed and utilized to fabricate highly sensitive gas sensors toward benzene derivatives,such as ethylbenzene.Thanks to the high-density oxygen vacancies(OV)and significantly increased defects(W^(5+))produced by Gd atoms doping into the lattice of WO_(3)octahedron,Gd-doped mesoporous WO_(3)exhibited excellent ethylbenzene sensing performance,including high response(237 vs.50 ppm),rapid response–recovery dynamic(13 s/25 s vs.50 ppm),extremely low theoretical detection limit of 24 ppb.The in-situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform and gas chromatograph-mass spectrometry results revealed the gas sensing process underwent a catalytic oxidation conversion of ethylbenzene into alcohol species,benzaldehyde,acetophenone,and carboxylate species along with the resistance change of the Gd-doped mesoporous WO_(3)based sensor.Moreover,a portable smart gas sensing module was fabricated and demonstrated for real-time detecting ethylbenzene,which provided new ideas to design heteroatom doped mesoporous materials for intelligent sensors.Yanyan Li Keyu Chen Yan Liu Junhao Ma Yaozu Liao Haitao Yang Jinsheng Cheng Qin Yue Kaiping Yuan Yuan Ren Yidong Zou Yonghui Deng 2023Nano Research2023,16,5:0
