3Fabricating CoCrFeMnNi high entropy alloy via selective laser melting in-situ alloying显示文摘Quasi-equiatomic Co Cr Fe Mn Ni high entropy alloy(HEA)has been in-situ alloyed by selective laser melting(SLM)from a blend of Co Cr Fe Ni pre-alloyed powder and Mn elemental powder.The blended powder shows good printability with various SLM parameters and the as-built HEA samples achieve a reliable forming quality.Despite the slight evaporation of Mn,energy dispersive spectrometer mapping and Xray diffraction results show that the as-built HEA has a homogeneous chemical distribution and presents a single face-centred-cubic(fcc)phase,indicating successful in-situ alloying.The study has verified the feasibility of using blended powder to prepare high-quality HEA by SLM.Peng Chen Sheng Li Yinghao Zhou Ming Yan Moataz M.Attallah 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,36,8:9
4Percent free prostate-specific antigen for prostate cancer diagnosis in Chinese men with a PSA of 4.0-10.0 ng/mL:Results from the Chinese Prostate Cancer Consortium显示文摘Objective:To test the diagnostic performance of percent free prostate-specific antigen(%fPSA)in predicting any prostate cancer(PCa)and high-grade prostate cancer(HGPCa)in a retrospective multi-center biopsy cohort with a PSA level of 4.0e10.0 ng/mL in China.Methods:Consecutive patients with a PSA of 4.0-10.0 ng/mL who underwent transrectal ultrasound-guided biopsy were enrolled at 16 Chinese medical centers from January 1st,2010 to December 31st,2013.Total and free serum PSA determinations were performed using three types of electro-chemiluminescence immunoassays recalibrated to the World Health Organization(WHO)standard.The diagnostic accuracy of PSA,%fPSA,and %fPSA in combination with PSA(%fPSA t PSA)was determined using the area under the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve(AUC).Results:A total of 2310 consecutive men with PSA levels between 4.0 and 10.0 ng/mL were included,and the detection rate of PCa was 25.1%.The AUC of%fPSA and %fPSA t PSA in predicting any PCa was superior to PSA alone in men aged≥60 years(0.623 vs.0.534,p<0.0001)but not in men aged 40e59 years(0.517 vs.0.518,p=0.939).Similar result was yield in predicting HGPCa.Conclusion:In a clinical setting of Chinese men with 4.0e10.0 ng/mL PSA undergoing initial prostate biopsy,adding %fPSA to PSA can moderately improve the diagnostic accuracy for any PCa and HGPCa compared with PSA alone in patients≥60 but not in patients aged 40-59 years.Rui Chen Liping Xie Xiaobing Cai Yiran Huang Liqun Zhou Lulin Ma Xu Gao Chuanliang Xu Shancheng Ren Pengfei Shao Danfeng Xu Kexin Xu Zhangqun Ye Chunxiao Liu Dingwei Ye Li Lu Qiang Fu Jianquan Hou Jianlin Yuan Dalin He Tie Zhou Fubo Wang Biming He Yinghao Sun 2015Asian Journal of Urology2015,2,2:8

6Screen efficiency comparisons of decision tree and neural network algorithms in machine learning assisted drug design显示文摘In view of huge search space in drug design, machine learning has become a powerful method to predict the affinity between small molecular drug and targeting protein with the development of artificial intelligence technology. However, various machine learning algorithms including massive different parameters make the prediction framework choice to be quite difficult. In this work, we took a recent drug design competition(from XtalPi company on the DataCastle platform) as the typical case to find the optimized parameters for different machines learning algorithms and the most effective algorithm. After the parameter optimizations, we compared the typical machine learning methods as decision tree(XGBoost, LightGBM) and artificial neural network(MLP, CNN) with root-mean-square error(RMSE) and coefficient of determination(R^2) evaluation. As a result, decision tree is more effective than the neural network as LightGBM>XGBoost>CNN>MLP in the affinity prediction of the specific drug design problem with ~160000 samples. For a much larger screening task in a more complicated drug design study, the sophisticated neural network model may go beyond the decision tree algorithm after generalization enhancing and overfitting reducing. 8Invasion Possibility and Potential Effects of Rhus typhina on Beijing Municipality显示文摘Rhus typhina,an alien species introduced from North America,was identified as a main afforestation species in Beijing municipality. However,its invasiveness is still at odds. To clarify this problem,we applied the North American Screening System and the Australian Screening System to preliminarily predict its invasion possibility. Both screening systems gave the same recommendation to 'reject'. The geographical distribution was surveyed,with the population features of R. typhina against the native plant communities being assessed. With anthropogenic assistance,R. typhina has been scattered on almost all habitats from downtown to mountains,including roadsides,farmlands and protected areas. As a clonal shrub,R. typhina possessed a high spreading rate,varying from 6.3m/3years at sterile habitats to 6.7m/3years at fertile ones. Significantly lower species richness,individual density and diversity were observed in the R. typhina community than those of the native Vitex negundo Linn.var. heterophylla (Franch.) Rehd. community at both sterile and fertile habitats. Continual wide plantation of R. typhina may further foster its population expansion,which helps the species to overcome spatial isolation. The fact that each root fragment can develop into a new individual makes R. typhina very difficult to be eradicated once established. From a biological point of view,we believe that R. typhina is a plant invader in Beijing. 9Wide bandwidth acoustic transmission via coiled-up metamaterial with impedance matching layers显示文摘Many acoustic metamaterials suffer from a narrow bandwidth transmission because of the impedance mismatch at the airmetamaterial interface. In this paper, a two-dimensional impedance-matched metamaterial with broadband transmission performance is investigated. The impedance matching layer is introduced for a gradient variation of effective impedance from the inlet of the unit to the outlet. The effective medium theory and corresponding effective model are used to explain the underlying mechanism. The improved energy transmission of our designs is demonstrated by experiment and numerical simulation within a broad frequency bandwidth over 6 kHz. 10A phase 3,double-blind,randomized placebo-controlled efficacy and safety study of abiraterone acetate in chemotherapynaı¨ve patients with mCRPC in China,Malaysia,Thailand and Russia显示文摘Objective:This double-blind,placebo-controlled phase 3 study was designed to compare efficacy and safety of abiraterone acetate+prednisone(abiraterone)to prednisone alone in chemotherapy-naı¨ve,asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic metastatic castrationresistant prostate cancer(mCRPC)patients from China,Malaysia,Thailand and Russia.Methods:Adult chemotherapy-naı¨ve patients with confirmed prostate adenocarcinoma,Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group(ECOG)performance status(PS)grade 0e1,ongoing androgen deprivation(serum testosterone<50 ng/dL)with prostate specific antigen(PSA)or radiographic progression were randomized to receive abiraterone acetate(1000 mg,QD)t prednisone(5 mg,BID)or placebo t prednisone(5 mg,BID),until disease progression,unacceptable toxicity or consent withdrawal.Primary endpoint was improvements in time to PSA progression(TTPP).Results:Totally,313 patients were randomized(abiraterone:n Z 157;prednisone:n Z 156);and baseline characteristics were balanced.At clinical cut-off(median follow-up time:3.9 months),80% patients received treatment(abiraterone:n Z 138,prednisone:n Z 112).Median time to PSA progression was not reached with abiraterone versus 3.8 months for prednisone,attaining 58%reduction in PSA progression risk(HR=0.418;p<0.0001).Abirateronetreated patients had higher confirmed PSA response rate(50%vs.21%;relative odds=2.4;p<0.0001)and were 5 times more likely to achieve radiographic response than prednisonetreated patients(22.9%vs.4.8%,p=0.0369).Median survival was not reached.Most common(≥10% abiraterone vs.prednisone-treated)adverse events:bone pain(7%vs.14%),pain in extremity(6%vs.12%),arthralgia(10%vs.8%),back pain(7%vs.11%),and hypertension(15%vs.14%).Conclusion:Interim analysis confirmed favorable benefit-to-risk ratio of abiraterone in chemotherapy-naı¨ve men with mCRPC,consistent with global study,thus supporting use of abiraterone in this patient population.Dingwei Ye Yiran Huang Fangjian Zhou Keji Xie Vsevolod Matveev Changling Li Boris Alexeev Ye Tian Mingxing Qiu Hanzhong Li Tie Zhou Peter De Porre Margaret Yu Vahid Naini Hongchuan Liang Zhuli Wu Yinghao Sun 2017Asian Journal of Urology2017,4,2:3
11Motion Control of Capsule-like Underwater Robot Utilizing the Swing Properties of Ionic Polymer Metal Composite Actuators显示文摘Ionic Polymer Metal Composite(IPMC)is a novel electrically actuated intelligent material with the advantages of big bending displacement,low driving voltage,flexible and so on.It has been recognized as one of the most attractive actuators with prospective applications for underwater robots and bionic organs.In this work,a capsule-like robot was introduced with the pectoral and caudal fins made of IPMC.By analyzing the properties of displacement response to square waves with different frequencies and low level voltages,it was found that performance of IPMC are frequency sensitive.Besides,when the absolute value of low level voltage decreases,IPMC could swing on one side with the decrease in amplitudes,whereas the amplitude at high level voltage fluctuates within small ranges at low frequencies.IPMC tip can approximately maintain when the frequency of driving signal around 30 Hz.Such properties were employed to control the locomotion of robot combining the motions of pectoral and caudal fin.Thus,the locomotions of swimming forward,turning and positioning were realized.Hongkai Li Min Fan Yinghao Yue Guoliang Hu Qingsong He Min Yu 2020Journal of Bionic Engineering2020,17,2:3
12A comprehensive analysis of the Bencao(herbal)small RNA Atlas reveals novel RNA therapeutics for treating human diseases显示文摘Cross-kingdom herbal mi RNA was first reported in 2012.Using a modified herbal extraction protocol,we obtained 73,677,287sequences by RNA-seq from 245 traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM),of which 20,758,257 were unique sequences.We constructed a Bencao(herbal)small RNA(s RNA)Atlas(http://gffzz4a3adbfa122d4a47h69x9xcufnfc66oxv.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn),annotated the sequences by sequence-based clustering,and created a nomenclature system for Bencao s RNAs.The profiles of 21,757 mi RNAs in the Atlas were highly consistent with those of plant mi RNAs in mi RBase.Using software tools,our results demonstrated that all human genes might be regulated by s RNAs from the Bencao s RNA Atlas,part of the predicted human target genes were experimentally validated,suggesting that Bencao s RNAs might be one of the main bioactive components of herbal medicines.We established roadmaps for oligonucleotide drugs development and optimization of TCM prescriptions.Moreover,the decoctosome,a lipo-nano particle consisting of 0.5%–2.5%of the decoction,demonstrated potent medical effects.We propose a Bencao(herbal)Index,including small-molecule compounds(SM),protein peptides(P),nucleic acid(N),non-nucleic and non-proteinogenic large-molecule compounds(LM)and elements from Mendeleev's periodic table(E),to quantitatively measure the medical effects of botanic medicine.The Bencao s RNA Atlas is a resource for developing gene-targeting oligonucleotide drugs and optimizing botanical medicine,and may provide potential remedies for the theory and practice of one medicine.Yinghao Cao Yexuan Lin Na Sun Xinyi Du Yixin Dong Song Mei Xingyu Deng Xiaobei Li Shaoting Guo Kegong Tang Jiaqi Liu Xiangyu Qiao Dandan Zhao Yuhao Qin Cong Zhang Tianyi Xin Xiaohu Shi Congzhao Zhou Tao Dong De-an Guo Benedikt MKessler Dong Xu Jingyuan Song Fengming Huang Xiaoyue Wang Chengyu Jiang 2023Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,10:2
13Sustainable functional urethral reconstruction:Maximizing early continence recovery in robotic-assisted radical prostatectomy显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the safety profile and short-term functional outcome of sustainable functional urethral reconstruction(SFUR)in robotic-assisted radical prostatectomy(RARP).Methods:One hundred and sixty-two consecutive prostate cancer patients who underwent RARP were retrospectively analyzed,in which 53 had undergone SFUR while the other 109 had undergone conventional RARP procedures.Immediate,2-week,1-month and 3-month continence recovery and other perioperative data were compared to evaluate short-term surgical and functional outcome.Results:The median age was 68 and 67 years in the experimental group and control group,respectively(pZ0.206),with a median prostate-specific antigen(PSA)of 13.6 ng/mL(interquartile range[IQR],8.46e27.32 ng/mL)in the experimental group and 13.84 ng/mL(IQR,9.12e26.80 ng/mL)in control group(pZ0.846).Immediate,2-week,1-month and 3-month continence recovery rates between the groups were 34.0%vs.3.7%,50.9%vs.14.7%,62.3%vs.27.5%,and 79.2%vs.63.3%(all p<0.05).The morphological changes made by the new reconstruction technique were maintained on magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)3 months postoperatively.Nerve-sparing procedures and adoption of the new reconstruction technique were significantly relevant to continence recovery on logistics regression model(p<0.001).Conclusions:SFUR is a safe and easy-to-handle modification that may contribute to early continence return for RARP.Long-term follow-up and prospective studies are required to further evaluate its value in postoperative quality-of-life improvement.Zepeng Jia Yifan Chang Yan Wang Jing Li Min Qu Feng Zhu Huan Chen Bijun Lian Meimian Hua Yinghao Sun Xu Gao 2021Asian Journal of Urology2021,8,1:2
14Analysis on mechanism and key factors of surrounding rock instability in deeply inclined roadway affected by argillation and water seepage显示文摘Based on the characteristics of surrounding rocks for deeply inclined roadway affected by argillation and water seepage, a structure model of layer crack plate was established to analyze the shear sliding instability mechanism. Through solid mechanics analysis of anchored surrounding rock with defect from water seepage, combined with numerical analysis for instability mechanism under water seepage in deeply inclined roadway, key factors were proposed. Results show that with increasing height of layer crack plate, lateral buckling critical load value for high wall of the roadway decreases; there is a multistage distribution for tensile stress along the anchor bolt with defect under pulling state condition;groundwater seepage seriously affects the strength of surrounding rock of the roadway, to some extent the plastic zone of the high side rises up to 8 m. 15Engineering hiPSC-CM and hiPSC-EC laden 3D nanofibrous splenic hydrogel for improving cardiac function through revascularization and remuscularization in infarcted heart显示文摘Cell therapy has been a promising strategy for cardiac repair after myocardial infarction(MI),but a poor ischemic environment and low cell delivery efficiency remain significant challenges.The spleen serves as a hematopoietic stem cell niche and secretes cardioprotective factors after MI,but it is unclear whether it could be used for human pluripotent stem cell(hiPSC)cultivation and provide a proper microenvironment for cell grafts against the ischemic environment.Herein,we developed a splenic extracellular matrix derived thermoresponsive hydrogel(SpGel).Proteomics analysis indicated that SpGel is enriched with proteins known to modulate the Wnt signaling pathway,cell-substrate adhesion,cardiac muscle contraction and oxidation-reduction processes.In vitro studies demonstrated that hiPSCs could be efficiently induced into endothelial cells(iECs)and cardiomyocytes(iCMs)with enhanced function on SpGel.The cytoprotective effect of SpGel on iECs/iCMs against oxidative stress damage was also proven.Furthermore,in vivo studies revealed that iEC/iCM-laden SpGel improved cardiac function and inhibited cardiac fibrosis of infarcted hearts by improving cell survival,revascularization and remuscularization.In conclusion,we successfully established a novel platform for the efficient generation and delivery of autologous cell grafts,which could be a promising clinical therapeutic strategy for cardiac repair and regeneration after MI.Ge Guan Da Huo Yanzhao Li Xiaolin Zhao Yinghao Li Zhongliang Qin Dayu Sun Guanyuan Yang Mingcan Yang Ju Tan Wen Zeng Chuhong Zhu 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,12:2

18Engineering porosity into trimetallic PtPdNi nanospheres for enhanced electrocatalytic oxygen reduction activity显示文摘Platinum(Pt)-based multi-metallic nanostructures show great promise as electrocatalysts for the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR) in fuel cell cathodes. Herein, we report a simple, one-step surfactant-directed synthetic strategy to directly synthesize tri-metallic PtPdNi mesoporous nanospheres(PtPdNi MNs) in a high yield. The synthesis could be accomplished in aqueous solution at mild reaction temperature(40C)without needing any organic solvent, yielding well-dispersed PtPdNi MNs with uniform shape and narrow size distribution. Benefitting from their unique mesoporous and highly open structure and tri-metallic composition, the as-synthesized PtPdNi MNs demonstrate superior catalytic activity and stability for ORR in acidic solution in comparison with PtPdNi nanodendrites(PtPdNi NDs), PtPd MNs and commercial Pt/C catalyst. 19FeCo-based mesoporous carbon shells modified N-doped porous carbon spheres for oxygen reduction reaction显示文摘Fe Co-based non-noble metal electrocatalysts(NNMEs)of Fe Co/MCS-NPCS was fabricated by immobilization of hemin on mesoporous carbon shells modified N-doped porous carbon spheres(MCS-NPCS).The obtained Fe Co/MCS-NPCS exhibits a half-wave potential(E1/2)of 0.851 V versus the reversible hydrogen electrode(vs.RHE)and a limited-diffusion current density(JL)of 5.45 m A cm^(-2).In addition,Fe Co/MCS-NPCS shows comparable oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)performances to 20 wt%Pt/C in terms of E1/2 and JL and better electrochemical properties,including the methanol tolerance and durability in alkaline solution.Such outstanding electrochemical activities of Fe Co/MCS-NPCS can be ascribed to Fe and/or Co-based nitrides and carbides as well as N-doped carbon matrixes modified with mesoporous carbon shells.This research introduces a promising path to design and synthesize highly efficient Fe Co–N–C electrocatalysts towards ORR.Xinxin Jin Yan Xie Chaoyue Zhao Yinghao Xu Yang Lv He Wang Li Chen Jiahui Huang 2021Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2021,31,4:1
