| 1 | Cenozoic Volcanism in South China Sea and Its Vicinity and South China Sea Spreading显示文摘The rock series, rock types and Sr Nd isotopic dating of the Cenozoic volcanic rocks in the South China Sea are similar to those in its vicinity. On the basis of the spreading age of the South China Sea, the Cenozoic volcanic rocks are divided into three stages: the pre spreading stage, the spreading stage and the post spreading stage. The deep process characteristics of the asthenosphere and lithosphere may be inferred from the study on primary basaltic magma. The top layers of the asthenosphere both in the spreading stage and in the pre spreading stage are closer to the earth surface than that in the post spreading stage. From the pre spreading stage to the spreading stage, the top layer of the asthenosphere decreased in depth, while the amount of interstitial partial melts increased. The evolution of the primary basaltic magma shows a progressive evolution sequence of the rifting volcanism and a faster lithospheric spreading velocity. From the spreading stage to the post spreading stage, the top layer of the asthenosphere gradually increased in depth, but the amount of interstitial partial melts decreased. The evolution of primary basaltic magma shows a retrogressive evolution sequence of the rifting volcanism and a gradual decrease in the lithospheric spreading velocity. | 2 | Trending IC design directions in 2022显示文摘For the non-stop demands for a better and smarter society, the number of electronic devices keeps increasing exponentially;and the computation power, communication data rate, smart sensing capability and intelligence are always not enough. Hardware supports software, while the integrated circuit(IC) is the core of hardware. In this long review paper, we summarize and discuss recent trending IC design directions and challenges, and try to give the readers big/cool pictures on each selected small/hot topics. We divide the trends into the following six categories, namely, 1) machine learning and artificial intelligence(AI) chips, 2) communication ICs, 3) data converters, 4) power converters, 5) imagers and range sensors, 6) emerging directions. | 3 | Fiber-tip polymer clamped-beam probe for high-sensitivity nanoforce measurements显示文摘Micromanipulation and biological,material science,and medical applications often require to control or measure the forces asserted on small objects.Here,we demonstrate for the first time the microprinting of a novel fiber-tip-polymer clamped-beam probe micro-force sensor for the examination of biological samples.The proposed sensor consists of two bases,a clamped beam,and a force-sensing probe,which were developed using a femtosecond-laser-induced two-photon polymerization(TPP)technique.Based on the finite element method(FEM),the static performance of the structure was simulated to provide the basis for the structural design.A miniature all-fiber micro-force sensor of this type exhibited an ultrahigh force sensitivity of 1.51 nmμN−1,a detection limit of 54.9 nN,and an unambiguous sensor measurement range of~2.9 mN.The Young’s modulus of polydimethylsiloxane,a butterfly feeler,and human hair were successfully measured with the proposed sensor.To the best of our knowledge,this fiber sensor has the smallest force-detection limit in direct contact mode reported to date,comparable to that of an atomic force microscope(AFM).This approach opens new avenues towards the realization of small-footprint AFMs that could be easily adapted for use in outside specialized laboratories.As such,we believe that this device will be beneficial for high-precision biomedical and material science examination,and the proposed fabrication method provides a new route for the next generation of research on complex fiber-integrated polymer devices. | Mengqiang Zou Changrui Liao Shen Liu Cong Xiong Cong Zhao Jinlai Zhao Zongsong Gan Yanping Chen Kaiming Yang Dan Liu Ying Wang Yiping Wang | 2021 | Light(Science & Applications)2021,10,9: | 3 |
