The Medium Energy X-ray telescope (ME) onboard the Insight-HXMT astronomy satellite显示文摘The Medium Energy X-ray telescope(ME) is one of the three main telescopes on board the Insight hard X-ray modulation telescope(Insight-HXMT) astronomy satellite. ME contains 1728 pixels of Si-PIN detectors sensitive in 5-30 ke V with a total geometrical area of 952 cm^2. The application specific integrated circuit(ASIC) chip, VA32TA6, is used to achieve low power consumption and low readout noise. The collimators define three kinds of field of views(FOVs) for the telescope, 1°×4°, 4°×4°,and blocked ones. Combination of such FOVs can be used to estimate the in-orbit X-ray and particle background components. The energy resolution of ME is ~3 ke V at 17.8 ke V(FWHM) and the time resolution is 255 μs. In this paper, we introduce the design and performance of ME. | XueLei Cao WeiChun Jiang Bin Meng WanChang Zhang Tao Luo Sheng Yang ChunLei Zhang YuDong Gu Liang Sun XiaoJing Liu JiaWei Yang Xian Li Ying Tan ShaoZhen Liu YuanYuan Du FangJun Lu YuPeng Xu Ju Guan ShuangNan Zhang HuanYu Wang TiPei Li ChengMo Zhang XiangYang Wen JinLu Qu LiMing Song XiaoBo Li MingYu Ge YuPeng Zhou ShaoLin Xiong Shu Zhang YongJie Zhang ZeHao Cheng Fei Zhang MaoShun Li XiaoHua Liang Min Gao EnBo Yang XiaoHang Liu HongWei Liu YiJung Yang Fan Zhang | 2020 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2020,63,4: | 5
Auxin response factor 6A regulates photosynthesis, sugar accumulation, and fruit development in tomato显示文摘Auxin response factors(ARFs)are involved in auxin-mediated transcriptional regulation in plants. In this study,we performed functional characterization of SlARF6A in tomato.SlARF6A is located in the nucleus and exhibits transcriptional activator activity.Overexpression of SlARF6A increased chlorophyll contents in the fruits and leaves of tomato plants, whereas downregulation of SlARF6A decreased chlorophyll contents compared with those of wild-type(WT)plants.Analysis of chloroplasts using transmission electron microscopy indicated increased sizes of chloroplasts in SlARF6A-overexpressing plants and decreased numbers of chloroplasts in SlARF6A-downregulated plants.Overexpression of SlARF6A increased the photosynthesis rate and accumulation of starch and soluble sugars, whereas knockdown of SlARF6A resulted in opposite phenotypes in tomato leaves and fruits.RNA-sequence analysis showed that regulation of SlARF6A expression altered the expression of genes involved in chlorophyll metabolism, photosynthesis and sugar metabolism.SlARF6A directly bound to the promoters of SlGLK1,CAB,and RbcS genes and positively regulated the expression of these genes.Overexpression of SlARF6A also inhibited fruit ripening and ethylene production, whereas downregulation of SlARF6A increased fruit ripening and ethylene production.SlARF6A directly bound to the SAMS1 promoter and negatively regulated SAMS1 expression.Taken together, these results expand our understanding of ARFs with regard to photosynthesis, sugar accumulation and fruit development and provide a potential target for genetic engineering to improve fruit nutrition in horticulture crops. | Yujin Yuan Xin Xu Zehao Gong Yuwei Tang Mengbo Wu Fang Yan Xiaolan Zhang Qian Zhang Fengqing Yang Xiaowei Hu Qichen Yang Yingqing Luo Lihua Mei Wenfa Zhang Cai-Zhong Jiang Wangjin Lu Zhengguo Li Wei Deng | 2019 | Horticulture Research2019,6,1: | 3

A new measurement method for radial permeability and porosity of shale显示文摘To more conveniently and accurately obtain the radial permeability of shale,a new measurement method was proposed for the pressure attenuation of radial permeability and porosity in shale.Through experiments, this method could be used to get the pressure attenuation curve in annular space between the core and inner wall of PVT vessel under the helium along shale radial flow.Accordingly,a mathematical model was established to obtain the semi-analytical solution between pressure and time in the radial model.Meanwhile, through fitting the experimental results, the concentration conductivity and porosity of shale were obtained, and their relationship was used to derive the radial permeability of shale. This method was adopted to measure the permeability and porosity of two cores under three sets of different initial pressures in the annular space. The permeability test results were compared with those obtained by the conventional Dicker method and Smits pressure-attenuation method, and the porosity test results were also compared with those obtained by the conventional porosimeter, thus the feasibility and superiority of this method were confirmed. In contrast to the conventional pressureattenuation methods, this new model had advantages of simpler instruments and more convenient operation, and was also easy to measure the radial permeability and porosity of shale. | Zehao Yang Mingzhe Dong | 2017 | Petroleum Research2017,2,2: | 2
Laser powder bed fusion of high-strength Sc/Zr-modified Al–Mg alloy:phase selection,microstructural/mechanical heterogeneity, and tensile deformation behavior显示文摘Laser powder bed fusion(L-PBF)of Sc/Zr-modified Al-based alloys has recently become a promising method for developing a new generation of high-performance Al alloys. To clarify the modification roles of Sc/Zr elements,an Al–4.66Mg–0.48Mn–0.72Sc–0.33Zr(wt.%)alloy was processed using L-PBF.The effect of the local solidification condition of the molten pool on the precipitation behavior of primary Al_(3)(Sc,Zr)was analyzed based on time-dependent nucleation theory. It was found that primary Al_(3)(Sc,Zr)inevitably precipitated at the fusion boundary, while its precipitation could be effectively suppressed in the inner region of the molten pool. This subsequently induced the formation of a heterogeneousα-Al matrix. After direct aging, the heredity of solidification microstructure introduced heterogeneous secondary Al_(3)(Sc,Zr)precipitates withinα-Al matrix.Owing to the inverse relationship between grain boundary strengthening and precipitation strengthening, the direct-aged sample with dual heterogeneous structures exhibited reduced mechanical heterogeneity, resulting in lowered hetero-deformation-induced hardening. The low strain-hardening capability in the direct-aged sample promoted necking instability while inducing a large Lüders elongation, which effectively improved the tensile ductility. | Zihong Wang Xin Lin Nan Kang Jing Chen Hua Tan Zhe Feng Zehao Qin Haiou Yang Weidong Huang | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,36: | 2

Simultaneously improving the EMI shielding performances and mechanical properties of CF/PEKK composites via MXene interfacial modification显示文摘In this study, two-dimensional MXene (Ti3 C2 Tx ) was employed to modify the interface of carbon fiber-reinforced polyetherketoneketone (CF/PEKK) composites, in order to simultaneously improve the electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding performances and mechanical properties. The obtained CF/PEKK composites possessed outstanding EMI and mechanical performances, as anticipated. Specifically, the CF/PEKK composites modified with MXene at 1 mg mL–1 exhibited an excellent EMI shielding effectiveness of 65.2 dB in the X-band, a 103.1% enhancement compared with the unmodified CF/PEKK composites. The attractive EMI shielding performances of CF/PEKK composites originated from enhanced ohmic losses and multiple reflections of electromagnetic waves with the help of the MXene and CF layers. In addition, CF/PEKK composites achieved the best mechanical properties by optimizing the dispersion concentration of MXene to 0.1 mg mL–1 . The flexural strength, flexural modulus, and interlaminar shear strength of CF/PEKK composites reached 1127 MPa, 81 GPa, and 89 MPa, which were 28.5%, 9.5%, and 29.7% higher than that of the unmodified CF/PEKK composites, respectively. Such improvement in mechanical properties could be ascribed to the comprehensive effect of mechanical interlocking, hydrogen bonds, and Van der Waals forces between the introduced MXene and CF, PEKK, respectively. | Xueqin Yang Jiamei Luo Hongliang Ren Yi Xue Chenxi Yang Ting Yuan Zehao Yang Yong Liu Hui Zhang Jianyong Yu | 2023 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,23: | 1

Sb-Cu alloy cathode with a novel lithiation mechanism of ternary intermetallic formation: Enabling high energy density and superior rate capability of liquid metal battery显示文摘Antimony(Sb) is an attractive cathode for liquid metal batteries(LMBs) because of its high theoretical voltage and low cost. The main obstacles associated with the Sb-based cathodes are unsatisfactory energy density and poor rate-capability.Herein,we propose a novel Sb_(64)Cu_(36)cathode that effectively tackles these issues. The Sb_(64)Cu_(36)(melting point:525℃) cathode presents a novel lithiation mechanism involving sequentially the generation of Li_(2)CuSb,the formation of Li_(3)Sb,and the conversion reaction of Li_(2)CuSb to Li_(3)Sb and Cu.The generated intermetallic compounds show a unique microstructure of the upper floated Li_(2)CuSb layer and the below cross-linked structure with interpenetrated Li_(2)CuSb and Li_(3)Sb phases.Compared with Li_(3)Sb,the lower Li migration energy barrier(0.188 eV) of Li_(2)CuSb significantly facilitates the lithium diffusion across the intermediate compounds and accelerates the reaction kinetics.Consequently, the Li‖Sb_(64)Cu_(36)cell delivers a more excellent electrochemical performance(energy density:353 W h kg^(-1)at 0.4 A cm^(-2);rate capability:0.59 V at 2.0 A cm^(-2)),and a much lower energy storage cost of only 38.45 $ kW h^(-1)than other previously reported Sb-based LMBs.This work provides a novel cathode design concept for the development of high-performance LMBs in applications for large-scale energy storage. | Peng Chu Jie Wang Hongliang Xie Qian Zhang Jiangyuan Feng Zehao Li Zhao Yang Hailei Zhao | 2023 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,3: | 0
Modifying regeneration strategies classification to enhance the understanding of dominant species growth in fire-prone forest in Southwest China显示文摘Background:In fire-prone ecosystems, plant species having different post-fire regeneration strategies(PFRS)coexist at the local scale while showing different growth dynamics. To evaluate the effect of PFRS on species regeneration,we investigated the plant communities burned in different years in the central Yunnan Province,Southwest China.Several indicators describing plant growth and population importance were measured to compare the regeneration of four dominant tree species, including one facultative seeders(FS)and three obligate resprouters(OR).Partial correlation and mixed linear effect modeling were applied to disentangle the contribution of intrinsic and environmental factors to the interspecific variation in post-fire regeneration. Results:We identified two subtypes of plant growth strategy in the early post-fire stage for OR species;i.e.,number growth(ORþN)priority and height growth(ORþH)priority for sprouting stems.Generally, the FS and OR species varied in height growth rate with different temporal dynamics. The ORþN species occupied post-fire space horizontally with more resprouts and larger coverage than ORþH and FS species at the earlier stage. In contrast, the ORþH species generally had far less resprouts per clump, more variations in stem height and basal diameter.Factor analysis showed that the variation of post-fire plant regeneration was not effectively explained by environmental factors(R2<20%);however,the linear mixed models with the modified PFRS as a random effect substantially increased the explanation. Conclusions:The differentiated regeneration dynamics and growth priorities in the four dominant tree species indicated a critical dichotomy of habitat occupation strategy for the resprouter species during the early stage of post-fire forest restoration. Our study uncovered a trade-off between height versus number growth priority in the post-fire tree growth strategy and provides a novel perspective in understanding the living space occupying(niche partitioning)process and species coexistence in post-fire forest community assembly. | Caifang Luo Yueqiang Liu Zehao Shen Kang Yang Xinpei Wang Youxu Jiang | 2022 | Forest Ecosystems2022,9,1: | 0
Advanced Strategies for Stabilizing Single‑Atom Catalysts for Energy Storage and Conversion显示文摘Well-defined atomically dispersed metal catalysts(or single-atom catalysts)have been widely studied to fundamentally under-stand their catalytic mechanisms, improve the catalytic efficiency, increase the abundance of active components, enhance the catalyst utilization, and develop cost-effective catalysts to effectively reduce the usage of noble metals.Such single-atom cata-lysts have relatively higher selectivity and catalytic activity with maximum atom utilization due to their unique characteristics of high metal dispersion and a low-coordination environment. However, freestanding single atoms are thermodynamically unstable, such that during synthesis and catalytic reactions, they inevitably tend to agglomerate to reduce the system energy associated with their large surface areas. Therefore, developing innovative strategies to stabilize single-atom catalysts, including mass-separated soft landing,one-pot pyrolysis,co-precipitation,impregnation,atomic layer deposition, and organometallic complexation,is critically needed. Many types of supporting materials, including polymers, have been commonly used to stabilize single atoms in these fabrication techniques.Herein,we review the stabilization strategies of single-atom catalyst, including different synthesis methods, specific metals and carriers, specific catalytic reactions, and their advantages and disadvantages. In particular, this review focuses on the application of polymers in the synthesis and stabilization of single-atom catalysts, including their functions as carriers for metal single atoms, synthetic templates, encapsulation agents, and protection agents during the fabrication process. The technical challenges that are currently faced by single-atom catalysts are summarized, and perspectives related to future research directions including catalytic mechanisms, enhancement of the catalyst loading content, and large-scale implementation are proposed to realize their practical applications. | Wenxian Li Zehao Guo Jack Yang Ying Li Xueliang Sun Haiyong He Sean Li Jiujun Zhang | 2022 | Electrochemical Energy Reviews2022,5,3: | 0
A New Multiple Gateway Transmit Diversity Technique for Future Satellite Networks显示文摘The next generation of High Throughput Satellite(HTS)will exploit Q/V band for the feeder link and Ka band for the user link. The exploitation of multiple gateways(GWs)is a transmit diversity measure to compensate severe rain attenuation of Q/V band feeder links. This paper introduces a new smart gateway diversity combination scheme that combinates N-active(K=2)and N+1 diversity method in detail from the working principle, gateway switching strategy, evaluation of system availability and implementation complexity. In addition,a feeder link outage event prediction algorithm featuring combination scheme is given detailly based on modified time-adaptive linear regression.Compared with the existing N+P scheme, the proposed scheme can provide higher system availability and more stable user’s experience under the condition of properly increasing the complexity of payload design.Compared with Nactive scheme that has been reported,it is much easier to implement in engineering and more cost-effective.As a result, the combination scheme is a realistic solution based on a trade-off between performance improvement and implementation complexity. | Xinhua Li Huibin Wang Wenbo Zhao Qiushi Tian Zehao Xu Bo Yang | 2022 | China Communications2022,19,8: | 0
