1The Assessment of Global Surface Temperature Change from 1850s:The C-LSAT2.0 Ensemble and the CMST-Interim Datasets显示文摘Based on C-LSAT2.0,using high-and low-frequency components reconstruction methods,combined with observation constraint masking,a reconstructed C-LSAT2.0 with 756 ensemble members from the 1850s to 2018 has been developed.These ensemble versions have been merged with the ERSSTv5 ensemble dataset,and an upgraded version of the CMSTInterim dataset with 5°×5°resolution has been developed.The CMST-Interim dataset has significantly improved the coverage rate of global surface temperature data.After reconstruction,the data coverage before 1950 increased from 78%−81%of the original CMST to 81%−89%.The total coverage after 1955 reached about 93%,including more than 98%in the Northern Hemisphere and 81%−89%in the Southern Hemisphere.Through the reconstruction ensemble experiments with different parameters,a good basis is provided for more systematic uncertainty assessment of C-LSAT2.0 and CMSTInterim.In comparison with the original CMST,the global mean surface temperatures are estimated to be cooler in the second half of 19th century and warmer during the 21st century,which shows that the global warming trend is further amplified.The global warming trends are updated from 0.085±0.004℃(10 yr)^(–1)and 0.128±0.006℃(10 yr)^(–1)to 0.089±0.004℃(10 yr)^(–1)and 0.137±0.007℃(10 yr)^(–1),respectively,since the start and the second half of 20th century.Wenbin SUN Qingxiang LI Boyin HUANG Jiayi CHENG Zhaoyang SONG Haiyan LI Wenjie DONG Panmao ZHAI Phil JONES 2021Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2021,38,5:8
219世纪80年代以来全球温度变暖趋势一致性进一步加强显示文摘升级了新的1850年以来的全球陆地气温数据集(C-LSAT2.0),结合美国NOAA/NCEI研发的ERSSTv5,将全球表面温度(CMST)观测数据集延长至1854~2019年,为全球气候变化研究提供了一个新的基准数据.对比发现,基于CMST的全球温度变化序列在1880年以前略高于其他几个全球序列,差异主要来源于采用不同海温数据所致,各个序列之间存在结构性不确定性;1880年之后, 5个全球表面温度观测序列的一致性非常高,并有显著一致的变暖趋势,具有高可靠性.基于C-LSAT2.0和CMST,对1880~2019年全球变暖趋势进行了估计,结果表明:近140年, 120年, 60年和40年陆地平均气温增暖趋势分别为:0.103±0.016, 0.115±0.020, 0.252±0.035和0.293±0.055°C/10 a;全球表面温度增暖趋势分别为:0.072±0.010, 0.084±0.011, 0.150±0.019和0.185±0.032°C/10 a.对1900~2018年全球年均温度EOF分析表明,前两个特征向量明显地反映了全球温度变化的主要模态:即全球一致升温模态和与太平洋年代际振荡(IPO)密切相关的模态.说明近120年全球温度变化主要由外部强迫(人类活动)和自然变率(IPO)控制.李庆祥 孙文彬 Boyin Huang 董文杰 Xiaolan Wang 翟盘茂 Phil Jones 2020Science Bulletin2020,65,20:7
3Studies on wind environment around high buildings in urban areas显示文摘High buildings or architectural complex in urban areas remarkably distort the urban surface wind fields. As the air flow approaches,local strong wind may appear around the buildings. The strong wind makes the pedestrians on sidewalks, entrances and terrace very uncomfortable and causes the pedestrian level wind environment problem. In this studies, hot-wire wind measurement, wind scouring in wind tunnel and numerical computation were carried out to evaluate the wind environment of tall buildings in the prevailing flow conditions in Beijing areas. The results obtained by three techniques were compared and mutually verified. The conclusions drawn from three approaches agree with each other. Also the advantages and limitations of each method were analyzed. 5An OGCM Simulation of Seasonal and Interannual Variabilities in the Surface-Layer Pacific of the Equatorial Band显示文摘The heat budget is analyzed in the surface-layer (0-50 m) Pacific of the equatorial band (10°S-10°N), using the simulation of an ocean general circulation model from 1945 to 1993. The analysis indicates that downward net surface heat flux from the atmosphere and ocean advective heat fluxes play distinct roles in seasonal and interannual variabilities of surface-layer ocean temperature. The surface heat flux dominantly determines the ocean temperature in the seasonal time-scale. But, it has a negative feedback to the ocean temperature in the interannual time-scale. The interannual variability of ocean temperature is largely associated with the cold advection from off-equatorial divergent flow in the central Pacific and from upwelling in the cold tongue. Both the surface heat flux and ocean advective heat fluxes are important to the ocean temperature during an El Nino event. The ocean. advective heat fluxes are further associated with local westward trade wind in the central Pacific. 7Mechanisms of Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation(AMOC)Variability in a Coupled Ocean–Atmosphere GCM显示文摘The mechanisms involved in the variability of Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation(AMOC) are studied using a 2000-yr control simulation of the coupled Fast Ocean–Atmosphere Model(FOAM). This study identifies a coupled mode between SST and surface heat flux in the North Atlantic at the decadal timescale, as well as a forcing mode of surface heat flux at the interannual timescale. The coupled mode is regulated by AMOC through meridional heat transport. The increase in surface heating in the North Atlantic weakens the AMOC approximately 10 yr later, and the weakened AMOC in turn decreases SST and sea surface salinity. The decreased SST results in an increase in surface heating in the North Atlantic, thus forming a positive feedback loop. Meanwhile, the weakened AMOC weakens northward heat transport and therefore lowers subsurface temperature approximately 19 yr later, which prevents the AMOC from weakening. 10A survey on multi-sensor fusion based obstacle detection for intelligent ground vehicles in off-road environments显示文摘With the development of sensor fusion technologies, there has been a lot of research on intelligent ground vehicles, where obstacle detection is one of the key aspects of vehicle driving. Obstacle detection is a complicated task, which involves the diversity of obstacles, sensor characteristics, and environmental conditions. While the on-road driver assistance system or autonomous driving system has been well researched, the methods developed for the structured road of city scenes may fail in an off-road environment because of its uncertainty and diversity.A single type of sensor finds it hard to satisfy the needs of obstacle detection because of the sensing limitations in range, signal features, and working conditions of detection, and this motivates researchers and engineers to develop multi-sensor fusion and system integration methodology. This survey aims at summarizing the main considerations for the onboard multi-sensor configuration of intelligent ground vehicles in the off-road environments and providing users with a guideline for selecting sensors based on their performance requirements and application environments.State-of-the-art multi-sensor fusion methods and system prototypes are reviewed and associated to the corresponding heterogeneous sensor configurations. 12Wind flow and wind loads on the surface of a tower-shaped building:Numerical simulations and wind tunnel experiment显示文摘Flow structure and wind pressure distribution caused by obtuse obstacles are usually the focuses in Computational Wind Engineer researches (CWE). By solving the non-hydrostatical dynamic equations, PUMA model (Peking University Model of Atmospheric Environment) was developed and applied to simulating the flow structure and wind pressure distribution around a tower-shaped building. Evaluation about the wind environment and wind loads around the building was obtained through the analysis of the numerical simulation results and wind tunnel data. Comparisons between the simulation and wind tunnel study indicate that numerical simulation results agree well in the flow field and wind pressure distribution around the tower-shaped building. On the other hand, the horizontal grid interval of 2 m and the vertical grid of 3 m were still too crude to simulate the flow structure and wind pressure distribution on the building surface more exactly in detail; and the absence of suitable pressure perturbation parameterization scheme between the solid and the adjacent space also limits the accuracy of the numerical simulation. 18Constructing long-cycling crystalline C_(3)N_(4)-based carbonaceous anodes for sodium-ion battery via N configuration control显示文摘Carbon nitrides with two-dimensional layered structures and high theoretical capacities are attractive as anode materials for sodium-ion batteries while their low crystallinity and insufficient structural stability strongly restrict their practical applications.Coupling carbon nitrides with conductive carbon may relieve these issues.However,little is known about the influence of nitrogen(N)configurations on the interactions between carbon and C_(3)N_(4),which is fundamentally critical for guiding the precise design of advanced C_(3)N_(4)-related electrodes.Herein,highly crystalline C_(3)N_(4)(poly(triazine imide),PTI)based all-carbon composites were developed by molten salt strategy.More importantly,the vital role of pyrrolic-N for enhancing charge transfer and boosting Na+storage of C_(3)N_(4)-based composites,which was confirmed by both theoretical and experimental evidence,was spot-highlighted for the first time.By elaborately controlling the salt composition,the composite with high pyrrolic-N and minimized graphitic-N content was obtained.Profiting from the formation of highly crystalline PTI and electrochemically favorable pyrrolic-N configurations,the composite delivered an unusual reverse growth and record-level cycling stability even after 5000 cycles along with high reversible capacity and outstanding full-cell capacity retention.This work broadens the energy storage applications of C_(3)N_(4) and provides new prospects for the design of advanced all-carbon electrodes.Ying Wang Hongguan Li Shuanlong Di Boyin Zhai Ping Niu Antonios Kelarakis Shulan Wang Li Li 2024Carbon Energy2024,6,1:0
19An Amorphous Anode for Proton Battery显示文摘Developing advanced electrode materials is crucial for improving the electrochemical performances of proton batteries.Currently,the anodes are primarily crystalline materials which suffer from inferior cyclic stability and high electrode potential.Herein,we propose amorphous electrode materials for proton batteries by using a general ion-exchange protocol to introduce multivalent metal cations for activating the host material.Taking Al^(3+)as an example,theoretical and experimental analysis demonstrates electrostatic interaction between metal cations and lattice oxygen,which is the primary barrier for direct introduction of the multivalent cations,is effectively weakened through ion exchange between Al^(3+)and pre-intercalated K+.The as-prepared Al-MoOx anode therefore delivered a remarkable capacity and outstanding cycling stability that outperforms most of the state-of-the-art counterparts.The assembled full cell also achieved a high voltage of 1.37 V.This work opens up new opportunities for developing high-performance electrodes of proton batteries by introducing amorphous materials.Huan Liu Xiang Cai Xiaojuan Zhi Shuanlong Di Boyin Zhai Hongguan Li Shulan Wang Li Li 2023Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,2:0
20Characterization of genetic humanized mice with transgenic HLA DP401 or DRA but deficient in endogenous murine MHC classⅡgenes upon Staphylococcus aureus pneumonia显示文摘Background:Staphylococcus aureus can cause serious infections by secreting many superantigen exotoxins in“carrier”or“pathogenic”states.HLA DQ and HLA DR humanized mice have been used as a small animal model to study the role of two molecules during S.aureus infection.However,the contribution of HLA DP to S.aureus infection is unknown yet.Methods:In this study,we have produced HLA DP401 and HLA DRA0101 humanized mice by microinjection of C57BL/6J zygotes.Neo-floxed IAβ+/-mice were crossbred with Ella-Cre and further crossbred with HLA DP401 or HLA-DRA0101 humanized mice.After several rounds of traditional crossbreeding,we finally obtained HLA DP401-IAβ-/-and HLA DRA-IAβ-/-humanized mice,in which human DP401 or DRA0101 molecule was introduced into IAβ-/-mice deficient in endogenous murine MHC classⅡmolecules.A transnasal infection murine model of S.aureus pneumonia was induced in the humanized mice by administering 2×108CFU of S.aureus Newman dropwise into the nasal cavity.The immune responses and histopathology changes were further assessed in lungs in these infected mice.Results:We evaluated the local and systemic effects of S.aureus delivered intranasally in HLA DP401-IAβ-/-and HLA DRA-IAβ-/-transgenic mice.S.aureus Newman infection significantly increased the m RNA level of IL 12p40 in lungs in humanized mice.An increase in IFN-γand IL-6 protein was observed in HLA DRA-IAβ-/-mice.We observed a declining trend in the percentage of F4/80+macrophages in lungs in HLA DP401-IAβ-/-mice and a decreasing ratio of CD4+to CD8+T cells in lungs in IAβ-/-mice and HLA DP401-IAβ-/-mice.A decreasing ratio of Vβ3+to Vβ8+T cells was also found in the lymph node of IAβ-/-mice and HLA DP401-IAβ-/-mice.S.aureus Newman infection resulted in a weaker pathological injury in lungs in IAβ-/-genetic background mice.Conclusion:These humanized mice will be an invaluable mouse model to resolve the pathological mechanism of S.aureus pneumonia and study what role DP molecule plays in S.aureus infection.Feng Li Bowen Niu Lingling Liu Mengmin Zhu Hua Yang Boyin Qin Xiuhua Peng Lixiang Chen Chunhua Xu Xiaohui Zhou 2023Animal Models and Experimental Medicine2023,6,6:0
