Mapping of two new brown planthopper resistance genes from wild rice显示文摘A brown planthopper (BPH) resistance line, B5, derived its resistance genes from the wild rice Oryza offici-nalis Wall exwatt, was hybridized with Taichung Native 1, a cultivar highly susceptible to BPH. A mapping population composed of randomly selected 167 F2 individuals was used for determining the BPH resistance genes by the restriction fragment length polymorphism analysis (RFLP). Bulked segregant analysis was conducted to identify RFLP makers linked to the BPH resistance genes in B5. The results indicated that the markers linked to BPH resistance are located at two genomic regions on the long arm of chromosome 3 and the short arm of chromosome 4, respectively. The existence of the two loci was further assessed by the quantitative trait locus (QTL) analysis. We located the two loci at a 3.2 cM interval between G1318 and R1925 on chromosome 3 and a 1.2 cM interval between C820 and S11182 on chromosome 4. Comparison with the BPH genes that have been reported indicated that the BPH resistance genes | WANG Buna HUANG Zhen SHU Lihui REN Xiang LI Xianghua HE Guangcun | 2001 | Chinese Science Bulletin2001,46,13: | 14
Vertical Distribution Characteristics of PM2.5 Observed by a Mobile Vehicle Lidar in Tianjin, China in 2016显示文摘We present mobile vehicle lidar observations in Tianjin, China during the spring, summer, and winter of 2016. Mobile observations were carried out along the city border road of Tianjin to obtain the vertical distribution characteristics of PM_(2.5). Hygroscopic growth was not considered since relative humidity was less than 60% during the observation experiments. PM_(2.5) profile was obtained with the linear regression equation between the particle extinction coefficient and PM_(2.5) mass concentration. In spring, the vertical distribution of PM_(2.5) exhibited a hierarchical structure. In addition to a layer of particles that gathered near the ground, a portion of particles floated at 0.6–2.5-km height. In summer and winter, the fine particles basically gathered below 1 km near the ground. In spring and summer, the concentration of fine particles in the south was higher than that in the north because of the influence of south wind. In winter, the distribution of fine particles was opposite to that measured during spring and summer. High concentrations of PM_(2.5) were observed in the rural areas of North Tianjin with a maximum of 350 μg m–3 on 13 December2016. It is shown that industrial and ship emissions in spring and summer and coal combustion in winter were the major sources of fine particles that polluted Tianjin. The results provide insights into the mechanisms of haze formation and the effects of meteorological conditions during haze–fog pollution episodes in the Tianjin area. | Lihui LYU Yunsheng DONG Tianshu ZHANG Cheng LIU Wenqing LIU Zhouqing XIE Yan XIANG Yi ZHANG Zhenyi CHEN Guangqiang FAN Leibo ZHANG Yang LIU Yuchen SHI Xiaowen SHU | 2018 | Journal of Meteorological Research2018,32,1: | 5
Identification of Axial Vibration Excitation Source in Vehicle Engine Crankshafts Using an Auto-regressive and Moving Average Model显示文摘Violent axial vibration of a vehicle engine crankshaft might lead to multiple defects to the engine.Much research on mechanism and control measures has been done on engines, such as using the dynamic stiffness matrix method, rayleigh differential method, and system matrix method. But the source of axial vibration has not been identified clearly because there are many excitation factors for the axial vibration of a crankshaft, such as coupled torsional-axial vibration and coupled bending-axial vibration, etc. In order to improve the calculation reliability and identify the excitation source of axial vibration of in vehicle engine crankshafts, this paper presents a method to identify the axial vibration excitation source of crankshafts for high speed diesel engines based on an auto-regressive and moving average(ARMA) model.Through determining initial moving average variables and measuring axial /bending/torsional vibrations of a crankshaft at the free-end of a 4-cylinder diesel engine, autoregressive spectrum analysis is applied to the measured vibration signal. The results show that the axial vibration of the crankshaft is mainly excited by coupled bending vibration at high speed. But at low speed, the axial vibration in some frequencies is excited primarily by torsional excitation.Through investigation of axial vibration source of engine crankshafts, calculation accuracy of vibration can be improved significantly. | LIANG Xingyu WANG Yuesen SHU Gequn WEI Haiqiao DONG Lihui MEI Yifan | 2011 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2011,24,6: | 3
Experimental verifications on chemical carcinogenesis, a bifunctional alkvlation between DNA interstrands显示文摘It is evidenced by the filter elution method that two carcinogenic aromatic hydrocarbons, benzo[a]pyrene and dibenzo[a,h]anthracene, two carcinogenic metal salts, beryllium chloride and cadmium chloride, four carcinogenic aromatic amines, 2-aminofluorene, p-naphthylamine, 4-aminobiphenyl and benzidine, can all induce DNA interstrand and DNA-protein cross-link in L12io culture. However, under the same condition, the corresponding non-carcinogenic compounds, including benzo[k]fluorancene, anthracene, magnesium chloride, zinc chloride, a-naphthylamine, 2-aminobiphenyl and m-toluidine, cannot produce any cross-link adducts. All these results are consistent with the di-region theory that carcinogens are bio-bifunctional alkylation agents. This method can also be used to discriminate carcinogens and non-carcinogens. | DAI Qianhuan, ZHANG Qingrong, WANG Lihui, PEI Shu, WANG Qing &QUBoCenter for Chemistry and Bioengineering of Cancer, Beijing Polytechnic University, Beijing 100022, China | 2000 | Chinese Science Bulletin2000,45,12: | 3
Experimental study of the influence of a pour point depressant additive on particle size distributions in diesel engine exhausts显示文摘Many studies have been performed on diesel engine particulate matter emissions, but the influence of lubricants on emissions has only been considered a few times, and the effects of lubricant additives have yet to be investigated. We studied the influence of a pour point depressant additive(PPD) on particle emissions and particle size distributions from a four-cylinder turbocharged, inter-cooled engine with CF-415W-40 lubricant, using diesel or diesel containing the PPD. Changing the working conditions changed the number of particles emitted and the location of the peak particle size(s) emitted. The number of particles first increased and then decreased as the engine speed increased. Particle emissions were optimal at low engine speeds and high load, increasing with increasing engine speed. | Xingyu Liang Yuesen Wang Lihui Dong Gequn Shu Changwen Liu | 2014 | Particuology2014,12,2: | 2

Monitoring of Land-Cover Dynamic Change in Lancangjiang River Cascaded Hydropower Area显示文摘The analysis of the 3 stages’ (1988,1996,2000) variation of land-cover is performed according to Thematic Mapper (TM) and Enhancement Thematic Mapper(ETM) satellite image by combining ground GIS database with GPS field collected data in the area of Xiaowan-Dachaoshan Reservoirs of Lancangjiang River cascaded Hydropower Area. Consequently, the land-cover is divided into five subclasses, namely water, paddy field and wetland, bare dryland and sparse shrub, secondary forest and density forest. The result showed that the areas of bare land, upland and secondary forest decreased in 1988-1996, whereas from 1996 to 2000, water body and density forest keep invariability while the areas of paddy field and wetland, bare dryland and sparse scrub increasing and the area of secondary forest decrease; Features of reciprocal transformation between density forest and other type of land-cover had two points, i.e. secondary forest, bare dryland and sparse shrub converted to density forest; and density forest converted to secondary forest and paddy field and wetland. It reflects the dynamic variation of density forest; the area which slope less than 8° and greater than 15° shows bigger variation, however, less change in 8°-15°. | LIU Hongjiang XIE Hongzhong CHEN Lihui GAN Shu ZHANG Jun WEI Fangqiang | 2006 | Wuhan University Journal of Natural Sciences2006,11,4: | 1
Additive Effects of QTLs/Genes on Rice Grain Size Traits Revealed by Genetic Comparisons显示文摘Grain size is controlled by many QTLs and/or genes.Despite intensive study, the genetic interactions between these QTLs/genes remain largely unclear. We previously found that the japonica large-grain rice cultivar TD70 with 1000-grain weight of 68.6 g carries superior alleles at the loci GW2,GS3,qGL3,GS5 and GW8,all of which are known to control grain size, while the indica rice variety Kasalath with 1000-grain weight of 19.1 g has normal alleles at these loci. | HE Lei LIANG Wenhua HU Jiang ZHAO Chunfang YAO Shu CHEN Tao ZHU Zhen ZHAO Qingyong LU Kai ZHAO Ling ZHOU Lihui QIAN Qian WANG Cailin ZHANG Yadong | 2023 | Rice science2023,30,3: | 0
An inverse strategy to determine constitutive parameters of tubular materials for hydroforming processes显示文摘This paper is to determine the flow stress curve of 5049-O aluminium alloy by a tube hydraulic bulging test with fixed end-conditions. During this test, several tubular specimens are bulged under different internal pressures before their bursting, and the corresponding bulging height and wall thickness at the pole are measured. An inverse strategy is developed to determine the constitutive parameters of tubular materials based on experimental data, which combines the finite element method with gradient-based optimization techniques. In this scheme, the objective function is formulated with the sum of least squares of the error between numerical and experimental data, and finite difference approximation is used to calculate the gradient. The tubular material behavior is assumed to meet the von Mises yield criterion and Hollomon exponential hardening law. Then, constitutive parameters identification is performed by minimization of the objective function. In order to validate the performance of this framework, identified parameters are compared with those obtained by two types of theoretical models, and tensile tests are performed on specimens cut from the same tubes. The comparison shows that this inverse framework is robust and can achieve a more accurate parameter identification by eliminating mechanical and geometrical assumptions in classical theoretical analysis. | Bin ZHANG Benny ENDELT Lihui LANG Yang ZHAO Shu YAN Karl Brian NIELSEN | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2022,35,6: | 0
Effects of soluble starch synthase genes on eating and cooking quality in semi waxy japonica rice with Wx^(mp)显示文摘The purpose of this study is to reveal the genetic mechanism of the variation of amylose content among different semi waxy or glutinous japonica rice in the background of Wxmp gene.Sixty-four semi waxy lines derived from the hybrid progenies of Wujing 13 and Milky Princess(Kantou 194)with polymorphism in soluble starch synthase gene SSIIa(SSII-3)and SSIIIa(SSIII-2)but no polymorphism in other starch synthase related genes were used as test materials. The genotypes of SSIIa and SSIIIa allele were identified by molecular markers, and the allelic effects of SSIIa and SSIIIa gene on amylose content(AC),gel consistency(GC),gelatinization temperature(GT)and rapid visco analyzer(RVA)profile characteristics were analyzed. The significant effects of SSIIa and SSIIIa alleles and the interactive effects between two genes on AC,GT,GC and RVA profile characteristics were found. The SSIIa and SSIIIa alleles from Wujing13 shown positive effects on AC with an average increase of 1.87 and 1.23%in 2 years respectively. There was no significant effect on GT for SSIIa or SSIIIa allele but remarkable influence on GT when the co-existence of the two genes. The genotype SSIIa^(mp)SSIIIa^(mp) shown 1.34℃higher GT than genotype SSIIawjSSIIIawj(mp and wj indicated that the gene was derived from Milky Princess and Wujing 13 respectively, the same as in the below).Different genes and alleles resulted in significant different GC.The genetic effect of SSIIawj and SSIIIamp on GC was 8.74 and 9.62mm respectively. The GC of SSIIa^(wj)SSIIIa^(mp) was 10.64 and 16.95mm higher than that of SSIIa^(mp)SSIIIa^(wj) and SSIIawjSSIIIawj, respectively. The allele SSIIa^(wj) could increase the peak viscosity(PKV),hot paste viscosity(HPV),cool paste viscosity(CPV)and breakdown viscosity(BDV),while decrease the consistency viscosity(CSV)and setback viscosity(SBV).However for the allele SSIIIa^(wj) the opposite was true. The genotype SSIIa^(wj)SSIIIa^(mp) had the largest PKV,HPV and CPV,the genotype SSIIa^(wj)SSIIIa^(wj) had the largest BDV and CSV,but the genotype SSIIa^(wj)SSIIIa^(mp) had the least SBV.According to the comprehensive effect of each trait, the genotype SSIIawjSSIIIamp was the best. The allelic variation and interaction effect of SSIIa and SSIIIa genes have important reference value for improving cooking and eating quality of semi waxy japonica rice. | Shu Yao Yadong Zhang Yanqing Liu Chunfang Zhao Lihui Zhou Tao Chen Qing Yong Zhao Balakrishna Pillay Cailin Wang | 2020 | Food Production, Processing and Nutrition2020,2,1: | 0
