4Crop Classification Using MODIS NDVI Data Denoised by Wavelet: A Case Study in Hebei Plain, China显示文摘Time-series Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) data have been widely used for large area crop mapping.However,the temporal crop signatures generated from these data were always accompanied by noise.In this study,a denoising method combined with Time series Inverse Distance Weighted (T-IDW) interpolating and Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) was presented.The detail crop planting patterns in Hebei Plain,China were classified using denoised time-series MODIS NDVI data at 250 m resolution.The denoising approach improved original MODIS NDVI product significantly in several periods,which may affect the accuracy of classification.The MODIS NDVI-derived crop map of the Hebei Plain achieved satisfactory classification accuracies through validation with field observation,statistical data and high resolution image.The field investigation accuracy was 85% at pixel level.At county-level,for winter wheat,there is relatively more significant correlation between the estimated area derived from satellite data with noise reduction and the statistical area (R2 = 0.814,p < 0.01).Moreover,the MODIS-derived crop patterns were highly consistent with the map generated by high resolution Landsat image in the same period.The overall accuracy achieved 91.01%.The results indicate that the method combining T-IDW and DWT can provide a gain in time-series MODIS NDVI data noise reduction and crop classification.ZHANG Shengwei LEI Yuping WANG Liping LI Hongjun ZHAO Hongbin 2011Chinese Geographical Science2011,21,3:9
5Chemical dehydration coupling multi-effect evaporation to treat waste sulfuric acid in titanium dioxide production process显示文摘In order to concentrate the diluted sulfuric acid from the titanium dioxide(TiO2)production of sulphate process,a new concentration process was proposed by coupling chemical dehydration and multi-effect evaporation.The ferrous sulfate monohydrate(FeSO4·H2O),as the dehydrant,was added to the diluted sulfuric acid to form ferrous sulfate heptahydrate(FeSO4·7H2O)according to the H2SO4-FeSO4-H2O phase diagrams,which partially removes the water.This process was named as Chemical Dehydration Process.The residual water was further removed by two-effect evaporation and finally 70 wt%sulfuric acid was obtained.The FeSO4·H2O can be regenerated through drying and dehydration of FeSO4·7H2O.The results show that FeSO4·H2O is the most suitable dehydrant,the optimal reaction time of chemical dehydration process is 30 min,and low temperature is favorable for the dehydration reaction.45.17%of the entire removed water can be removed by chemical dehydration from the diluted sulfuric acid.This chemical dehydration process is also energy efficient with 24.76%saving compared with the direct evaporation process.Furthermore,51.21%of the FeSO4 dissolved originally in the diluted sulfuric acid are precipitated out during the chemical dehydration,which greatly reduces the solid precipitation and effectively alleviates the scaling in the subsequent multi-effect evaporation process.Hongyin Pang Ruifang Lu Tao Zhang Li Lü Yanxiao Chen Shengwei Tang 2020Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2020,28,4:7
6MCM-36 zeolites tailored with acidic ionic liquid to regulate adsorption properties of isobutane and 1-butene显示文摘Adsorption properties of an adsorbent or a catalyst towards adsorbates are crucial in the process of adsorption separation or catalytic reaction. Surface morphology and structure of adsorbents have a significant impact on the adsorption properties. In this study, a novel acidic ionic liquid, 1-butyl-3-(triethoxysilylpropyl)imidazolium hydrogen sulfate(i.e., [BTPIm][HSO_4]), was synthesized and subsequently grafted onto the MCM-36 zeolite for the regulation of its adsorption properties towards isobutane and 1-butene. The resultant [BTPIm][HSO_4]-immobilized MCM-36(i.e., MCM-36-IL) was characterized by FT-IR, XPS, XRD, SEM, TG/DTG and N_2 adsorption–desorption measurement. It was found that the specific surface area, micropore volume and mesopore volume of the MCM-36 support underwent a reduction upon the immobilization of ionic liquid,while the surface density of acid increased from 0.0014 to 0.0035 mmol·m^(-2). The adsorption capacity of isobutane and 1-butene on the MCM-36-IL was determined by a static volumetric method. Results demonstrated that the interaction between isobutane and MCM-36-IL was enhanced and the interaction between 1-butene and MCM-36-IL was reduced. As a result, a tunable adsorption ratio of isobutane/1-butene on MCM-36 was achieved.With the increase in surface density of acid and the tunable adsorption ratio of isobutane and 1-butene on the functionalized MCM-36, the acidic ionic liquid-immobilized zeolites are beneficial to obtain an improved reaction yield and a prolonged catalyst life in the reactions catalyzed by solid acid.Hongxia Li Tao Zhang Shaojun Yuan Shengwei Tang 2016Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2016,24,12:5

8An implantable microelectrode array for simultaneous L-glutamate and electrophysiological recordings in vivo显示文摘L-glutamate,the most common excitatory neurotransmitter in the mammalian central nervous system(CNS),is associated with a wide range of neurological diseases.Because neurons in CNS communicate with each other both electrically and chemically,dualmode(electric and chemical)analytical techniques with high spatiotemporal resolution are required to better understand glutamate function in vivo.In the present study,a silicon-based implantable microelectrode array(MEA)composed of both platinum electrochemical and electrophysiological microelectrodes was fabricated using micro-electromechanical system.In the MEA probe,the electrophysiological electrodes have a low impedance of 0.018 MΩat 1 kHz,and the electrochemical electrodes show a sensitivity of 56 pAμM^(−1) to glutamate and have a detection limit of 0.5μM.The MEA probe was used to monitor extracellular glutamate levels,spikes and local field potentials(LFPs)in the striatum of anaesthetised rats.To explore the potential of the MEA probe,the rats were administered to KCl via intraperitoneal injection.K+significantly increases extracellular glutamate levels,LFP low-beta range(12–18 Hz)power and spike firing rates with a similar temporal profile,indicating that the MEA probe is capable of detecting dual-mode neuronal signals.It was concluded that the MEA probe can help reveal mechanisms of neural physiology and pathology in vivo.Wenjing Wei Yilin Song Li Wang Song Zhang Jinping Luo Shengwei Xu Xinxia Cai 2015Microsystems & Nanoengineering2015,1,1:4
9Numerical simulation of spatial distributions of mining-induced stress and fracture fields for three coal mining layouts显示文摘In this study, the spatial distributions of stress and fracture fields for three typical underground coal mining layouts, i.e. non-pillar mining(NM), top-coal caving mining(TCM) and protective coal-seam mining(PCM), are modeled using discrete element software UDEC. The numerical results show that different mining layouts can lead to different mining-induced stress fields, resulting in diverse fracture fields. For the PCM, the mining influenced area in front of the mining faces is the largest, and the stress concentration factor in front of the mining faces is the lowest. The spatial shapes of the mining-induced fracture fields under NM, TCM and PCM differ, and they are characterized by trapezoidal, triangular and tower shapes, respectively. The fractal dimensions of mining-induced fractures of the three mining layouts decrease in the order of PCM, TCM and NM. It is also shown that the PCM can result in a better gas control effect in coal mines with high outburst potential. 11Effects of phosvitin phosphopeptide-Ca complex prepared by efficient enzymatic hydrolysis on calcium absorption and bone deposition of mice显示文摘Phosvitin(PV)was treated with high-temperature,mild pressure(HTMP),and enzyme combination,and then phosvitin phosphopeptides-calcium(PPP-Ca)complexes were prepared.The low-calcium specific pathogen free-Kunming(SPF-KM)mice were used to determine the effect of PPP-Ca complexes on intestinal calcium absorption and their utilization for bone formation.The serum calcium content was the highest with the HTMP-Enz-PPP-Ca treatment(2.19 mmol/L),and it significantly down-regulated the abnormal elevation of serum alkaline phosphatase(AKP)caused by calcium deficiency.The low-calcium control group had the lowest calcium deposited to the femur(80.41 mg/g)and the lowest femur bone mineral density(BMD)(0.17 g/cm^(3)),while HTMP-Enz-PPP-Ca significantly improved bone calcium content(94.33 mg/g)and BMD(0.29 g/cm^(3)).The micro-computed tomography(MCT)images showed that the femur with the normal control,PV-Ca,and HTMP-Enz-PPP-Ca treatments had a more compact,complete,and thicker trabecular network than the low-calcium and CaCl_(2)treatments.These results indicated that the organic calcium(HTMP-Enz-PPP-Ca)promoted calcium absorption and bone deposition,and the effect of HTMP-Enz-PPP-Ca was better than the inorganic CaCl_(2).Mengdie Zhao Dong Uk Ahn Songming Li Wei Liu Shengwei Yi Xi Huang 2022Food Science and Human Wellness2022,11,6:3

13Study on reactions of gaseous P_2O_5 with Ca_3(PO_4)_2 and SiO_2 during a rotary kiln process for phosphoric acid production显示文摘In a rotary kiln process for phosphoric acid production,the reaction between gaseous phosphorus pentoxide(P_2O_5)and phosphate ore and silica contained in feed balls(the so-called P_2O_5'absorption')not only reduces phosphorous recovery but also generates a large amount of low melting-point side products.The products may give rise to formation of kiln ring,which interferes with kiln operation performance.In this study,the reactions of gaseous P_2O_5with solid calcium phosphate(Ca_3(PO_4)_2),silica(SiO_2)and their mixture,respectively,were investigated via combined chemical analysis and various characterizations comprised of X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier-transform infrared(FT-IR)spectroscopy,thermogravimetric analysis and differential scanning calorimeter(TG&DSC),and scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectrometer(SEM&EDS).Attentions were focused on apparent morphology,phase transformation and thermal stability of the products of the P_2O_5'absorption'at different temperatures.The results show that the temperature significantly affected the'absorption'.The reaction between pure Ca_3(PO_4)_2 and P_2O_5 occurred at 500°C.Calcium metaphosphate(Ca(PO_3)_2)was the primary product at the temperatures≤900°C with its melting point≤900°C while calcium pyrophosphate(Ca_2P_2O_7)was obtained over 1000°C,which has a melting point≤1200°C.The'absorption'by pure SiO_2 started at 800°C and the most significant reaction occurred at 1000°C with formation of silicon pyrophosphate(SiP_2O_7)product of melting point≤1000°C.Using mixed Ca_3(PO_4)_2and SiO_2as raw material,the'absorption'by Ca_3(PO_4)_2 was enhanced due to existence of silica.At 600–700°C,silica was inert to P_2O_5and thus formed a porous structure in the raw material,which accelerated diffusion of gaseous P_2O_5inside the mixture.At higher temperatures,the combined'absorption'by calcium phosphate and reaction between silicon dioxide and the'absorption'product calcium pyrophosphate,reinforced the'absorption'by the mixture.Besides,it was found that both Ca(PO_3)_2and SiP_2O_7were unstable at high temperatures and would decompose to Ca_2P_2O_7and SiO_2,respectively,at over 1000°C and 1100°C with the release of gaseous P_2O_5at the same time.Qiang Liu Weizao Liu Li Lü Ruhu Li Bin Liang Hairong Yue Shengwei Tang Chun Li 2018Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2018,26,4:3
14Smartphone-based cytometric biosensors for point-of-care cellular diagnostics显示文摘Analysis on a single-cell basis is both fundamental and meaningful in biomedical research and clinical practice.Flow cytometry is one of the most popular approaches in this field with broad applications in cell sorting,counting,and identification of rare cells.However,the complicated design and bulky size of conventional flow cytometry have restricted their applications mainly in centralized laboratories.With the recent development of smartphone devices,smartphone-based cytometry has been explored and tested for single-cell analysis.Compared with traditional cytometers,smartphone-based cytometric biosensors are more suitable for point-of-care(POC)uses,such as on-site disease diagnosis and personal health monitoring.In this review article,the history of traditional flowcytometry is introduced,and advances of smartphone-enabled cytometry are summarized in detail based on different working principles.Representative POC applications of smartphone cytometers are also discussed.The achievements demonstrated so far illustrate the potential of smartphone-based cytometric devices to transform single-cell measurement in general,with a significant impact in POC diagnostics,preventive medicine,and cell biology.Shengwei Zhang Zheng Li Qingshan Wei 2020Nanotechnology and Precision Engineering2020,3,1:2
15Influence of coronary bifurcation angle on atherosclerosis显示文摘Hemodynamics plays a crucial role in the development and progression of coronary atherosclerosis,which is prone to occur in branch bifurcation.A n individual aortic-coronary artery model and three changed bifurcation angle models are constructed by Mimics and Freeform based on computed tomography angiography.The influence of different coronary bifurcation angles between left main(LM),left anterior descending(LAD),and left circumflex(LCX)on the blood flow field and related hemodynamic parameters are studied.It is shown that a wider bifurcation angle between LAD and LCX can cause a wider low-wall shear stress area,leading to atherosclerosis.Similarly,a decreased angle between LM and LAD is predisposed to prevent atherosclerosis.The results help to better understand the hemodynamic causes of atherosclerosis with various bifurcation angles in coronary arteries and to provide guidance for clinical assessment and prevention.Zhaomiao Liu Shengwei Zhao Yunjie Li Feng Shen Yipeng Qi Qi Wang 2019Acta Mechanica Sinica2019,35,6:2
16New challenges for optimal design of nearly/net zero energy buildings under post-occupancy performance-based design standards and a risk-benefit based solution显示文摘One of the challenges in construction of nearly and net ZEBs is how to truly achieve the nearly and net energy goals after building occupancy.Traditional building design standards and practices are mostly based on design performance evaluation,but practices show that many designed nearly/net ZEBs failed to achieve the energy goals after building occupancy.To facilitate the practical achievement of nearly and net ZEBs,recently most of the newly-released ZEB design standards have turned to post-occupancy performance evaluation,posing great challenges to nearly and net ZEB design.However,the detailed challenges have not be comprehensively investigated,and effective optimal design methods which can facilitate the achievement of nearly and net ZEBs under these standards are still absent.In this study,new challenges of nearly and net ZEB design under the post-occupancy performance-based design standards are fully investigated,and a risk-benefit based optimal design method is proposed to facilitate the achievement of nearly and net ZEBs under these standards.The newly-released ZEB standard in China is taken as an example to investigate the challenges and test the proposed method.Results show that nearly and net ZEBs designed using conventional design method have high risk in achieving energy goals under these standards due to high risk in satisfying the requirement regarding non-renewable primary energy consumption after building occupancy.The proposed design method is effective to facilitate achieving energy goals under these standards based on the risk that decision-makers would like to take.Hangxin Li Shengwei Wang 2022Building Simulation2022,15,5:2
17Prediction of coal structure using particle size characteristics of coalbed methane well cuttings显示文摘Severely deformed coal seams barely deliver satisfactory gas production. This research was undertaken to develop a new method to predict the positions of deformed coals for a horizontal CBM well. Firstly, the drilling cuttings of different structure coals were collected from a coal mine and compared. In light of the varying cuttings characteristics for different structure coals, the coal structure of the horizontally drilled coal seam was predicted. And the feasibility of this prediction method was discussed. The result shows that exogenetic fractures have an important influence on the deformation of coal seams. The hardness coefficient of coal decreases with the deformation degree in the order of primary structural, cataclastic and fragmented coal. And the expanding-ratio of gas drainage holes and the average particle size of cuttings increase with the increase of the deformation degree. The particle size distribution of coal cuttings for the three types of coals is distinctive from each other. Based on the particle size distribution of cuttings from X-2 well in a coal seam, six sections of fragmented coal which are unsuitable for perforating are predicted. 18CHARACTERIZATION AND CAUSATION OF RUNOFF AND SEDIMENT VARIATION IN THE JIALINGJIANG RIVER BASIN显示文摘The Jialingjiang River basin is one of the main sediment contributing areas in the upper reaches of the Changjiang River. Great changes have taken place in the runoff and sediment discharge in recent years. Comparing the data of 1991-2003 with the data of 1954-1990, the annual runoff of the Jialingjiang River basin decreased by 23 %, and the suspended sediment transport decreased by 74% or 105 million tons. The main factors affecting the reduction include a decrease in rainfall, sediment detention of hydraulic structures, soil and water conservation activities, sedimentation and sand dredging in the river channel. Thorough investigation and analysis of the contribution of each factor to the sediment decrease at Beibei Station was determined for the first time. The following are the contributing percentages for each factor: a decrease in runoff accounted for 32.9%; soil and water conservation measures accounted for 16.4%; sediment detention of hydraulic structures accounted for 30.5%; sedimentation, river channel sand dredging, and other factors accounted for 20.2%. 19Defect Engineering of Carbons for Energy Conversion and Storage Applications显示文摘Sustainable energy conversion and storage technologies are a vital prerequisite for neutral future carbon.To this end,carbon materials with attractive features,such as tunable pore architecture,good electrical conductivity,outstanding physicochemical stability,abundant resource,and low cost,have used as promising electrode materials for energy conversion and storage.Defect engineering could modulate the structures of carbon materials,thereby affecting their electronic properties.The presence of defects on carbons may lead to asymmetric charge distribution,change in geometrical configuration,and distortion of the electronic structure that may result in unexpected electrochemical performances.In this review,recent advances in defects of carbons used for energy conversion and storage were examined in terms of types,regulation strategies,and fine characterization means of defects.The applications of such carbons in supercapacitors,rechargeable batteries,and electrocatalysis were also discussed.The perspectives toward the development of defect engineering carbons were proposed.In all,novel insights related to improvement in high-performance carbon materials for future energy conversion and storage applications were provided.Xianyou Luo Heng Zheng Wende Lai Ping Yuan Shengwei Li De Li Yong Chen 2023Energy & Environmental Materials2023,6,3:2
